I’ve been coming here the last several years to do my nails/brows, and I’ve been pretty satisfied overall! The ladies that work here aren’t the most personable(they like to talk to themselves in Viet), but they get the job done. Love the massages they do with each nail treatment, and the candies they give out are also super yum! Gel Nails(5⁄5): I have always been satisfied with the gel nails they do here! Stays on perfectly for ~2 weeks before it starts chipping off. Warm Lotion Mani/Pedi(3⁄5): If I want a mani/pedi, I opt for this choice since it’s the cheapest but still a relaxing experience. Almost every time I leave the salon, however, I end up ruining one of my nails within the hour of leaving. I’m not sure if it’s the nail polish they use or the drying time/technique but it’s really easy to ruin the polish. This doesn’t happen to me at other salons… Brows(5⁄5): They work really fast here which makes the experience a lot less painful! TIP: Bring cash. They charge $ 1 extra for card.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I came here on a Sunday evening with my mom and the place was empty. There were only two employees so they got started on us both immediately. About half way through our mani/pedi’s a customer came in and the service slowly began to decline. They both finished my mom’s manicure and pedicure and started to polish my feet when 4 people walked in(this is when thr service went completely downhill). The lady polishing my toes rushed and left polish on the side of my feet and nails. I was so disappointed and quite frankly irritated that after paying $ 83.00 plus a tip that they rushed and did a terrible job. During my car ride home I realized that they failed to do the paraffin on my feet, I had paid extra for. I called them to let them know and after failing to understand me the woman tells me «You can come Tuesday, I’m busy right now.» What a f’in joke!

Most painless brow job and the fastest brow job I’ve gotten in Berkeley! The service isn’t very personal or friendly but I was in it for the result.

Inconsistent. One appointment can get you excellent service, the next one can get you a shoddy experience that leaves you almost bewildered at the difference. I’ve been coming here for some time for my pedicures, and as mentioned above, one day I had the most generous and practiced manicurist working on my tired feet. It was wonderful that I decided to tip him 20%. Then today, my bf and I go to get the $ 40 Royal Spa pedicure and was heavily disappointed by: 1) Left out the promised 15 min. hot stone massage 2) Aggressive handling of my feet at the end 3) Attitudes that leaves a lasting negative impression 4) Lack of interaction But to T&T Salon’s benefit, the pros: 1) Price 2) Intact, long lasting polish 3) Feet feel wonderful and smooth So conclusion is 3 stars.

SUPERSLOW, AMAZINGLYRUDE, AGGRESSIVE… unless you enjoy waiting in a nearly empty salon for hours to get your nails done and being verbally abused, avoid at all costs. Short version: I waited over an hour and a half to get my nails done(for an important trip, and all the other nearby salons were closed), but ended up leaving because the manicurist was SO rude. Long version: My friend and I got to the salon at about 6:30pm on a Friday night and wanted to get gel manicures and pedicures. There were two people working and only two customers ahead of in the salon. At any competent salon, I would have expected a 30 – 45 minute wait tops(I used to get my nails done weekly when I lived in NYC and have been to MANY salons, around the world). My friend and I waited together until 7:45PM, and my friend left because she couldn’t wait any longer. When they were finally ready for me at 7:50pm, I explained that I only had time to get a manicure(because I had to catch a flight in few hours) and my friend had to leave. The manicurist began to pick an argument with me, saying my friend and I cost her business, and she could have taken other customers had we not been in line waiting(is it my fault they are so ridiculously slow???). Regardless, I apologized and explained why my friend had to leave(she didn’t feel safe biking home late at night in the dark) and why I could no longer get a pedicure(I had to caught a flight in a few hours). The manicurists continued to complain that me and my friend cost her money, as she aggressively cut off my finger nails(too short without even looking). I apologized again, but she continued to berate me(super awkward and inappropriate). Despite waiting a ridiculous amount of time to get a manicure that I really, really wanted before my flight, I told her that her repeated accusations of «costing her money» and rudeness were inappropriate, and I left. Unless you enjoy waiting in a hot stuffy room for hours on end and being verbally abused/blamed for their own poor service DONOTENDORSETHISBUSINESS waited over an hour to get my nails done.

This place is awful. I’ve tried going here multiple times with friends and everytime I go back I wonder why. It’s dirty, always a mess, there’s never more than two people working, no point in making an appointment– they will still make you wait an hour. The most recent time I went, my manicure took less time(16 minutes total) than the time I waited(40 minutes). It’s completely absurd.

I came here because I heard good things about this place… I was not satisfied with the outcome. I came to get a fill on my acrylics and I had a couple of broken nails from a previous manicure that only lasted 3 weeks. I’ve gotten loads of manicure before and NEVER have I had problems with the nails falling off. they’re super glued to your hand basically so they won’t fall off. But I digress. She charged me $ 35.00 for the fill and to fix a couple of broken nails, which seemed like a lot to me at the time. I mean you can get a brand new set for $ 40, so it didn’t seem like I was saving money. My nail technician fixed the nails and then she proceeds to SUPERGLUEEVERYNAILTOMYFINGER. I didntt exactly like it, but this guaranteed they wouldn’t fall off right? It’s been two and a half weeks and I swear, TWONAIL have fallen off and I have chipped«gel» on every nail. Isn’t gel supposed to last? I was satisfied with the initial outcome but these are no quality! Not at all! Won’t be returning!

My favorite nail shop in Berkeley, plus the only one that’s open late, never really too busy. They give good massages and use hot lotion that I love. The only thing is If you’re not getting a regular manicure and pedicure its kind of pricey compared to other nails shops. Full set anywhere else is 20 – 25, full set here is 35, my sister wanted full set gel it was 55.

Don’t come here for acrylics. I’ve had one nail fall off every day this week. Came today to fix them and she said come back tomorrow. ??

This was my go-to place when I was located in Berkeley. Super nice staff with great service like extra long massages, water or hot tea, and little candies. They also have a decent amount of polish choices. I usually made appointments, but they’re pretty big, so they usually can squeeze you in last minute. The manicures/pedicures usually lasted pretty long on me. I’ve also gotten bikini waxes here and they do a good job for a decent price; I was asked to help hold my skin taunt a lot, which was unusual to me, but not a big deal. It does make your hands kind of sticky though. They also do a cash discount, so bring it for the savings!

They’re super friendly and attentive. Whenever I’m not satisfied they take the time to redo it if need be.

This was my 3rd time here and I haven’t been let down yet. Nail art was so much cooler than what I had envisioned and the massage portion of the pedicure is always super relaxing. I think I have finally found the right place :)

I usually bring mu daughter to have her nails done with me, just the color. Usually they don’t charge me or the charge for a change of color which is fine. They paint her nails and ALWAYS put a tiny flower on her toes, it’s 5 dots of white nail polish. I told the lady that it’s my daughter’s birthday(she turned 5) and she was getting a special treat, when my daughter asked for her flower(they didn’t offer it) the wanted to charge for it REALLY??? Five dots of color??? NEVER coming back to this place, the have to learn about costumer service!!!

Wonderful service and experience! Excellent price! My daughter and I dropped in just after 10am on a Tues. and got right in. They welcomed her with candy and we opted for the deluxe pedicure. Now, I’m from the burbs, where we pay $ 45 for a deluxe pedicure and consider yourself lucky for a 2 minute leg massage. Daisy was exceptional! Deep tissue leg massage for at least a half an hour; it was soooo worth $ 40. Love this place! Quiet, friendly, Real pedicure!

Ok The wait was long at the time I went My appointment seemed to make no difference The staff had great team work — helping each other out to finish w clients — however I wasn’t quite clear who was working on my nails when and when it was determine I was dry and ready to go I forgot my flip flop so the throw away flats would have been nice but to no avail

Bring cash with you for a discount — a standard manicure will cost $ 14 instead of $ 15 with card. I’ve been here multiple times, and the service seems variable. They definitely pay more attention to you if you’re in for a mani/pedi vs. just a mani. For my manicure this past week, I had to ask the technician to fill in some obvious gaps in the nail polish before she sent me off with half-dried nails & a couple of remaining hangnails. Nevertheless, the ladies who work there are pleasant and offer candy while we’re sitting! AND unexpected, but my tech gave me a really great lower arm & shoulder massage before painting my nails. Go here if you want a quick, standard manicure(prices around Berkeley seem to be about the same, around $ 14).

I stand by my last review when I say that I end up back here because it’s close to campus and cheap. But even so, it is NOTWORTH coming here. Not anymore. I have been here more times than I should have. I kept coming back for no good reason but convenience. But today was the last time I will ever step foot here. I don’t always go to this place but I do regularly get a gel manicure done every 3 weeks. So ~10 days ago, I came in to get a gel manicure. Just a few days later, two of my nails began to chip. I wouldn’t spend more than double to get a gel manicure if it was just going to chip like a regular manicure! My gel manicures usually look great for at least 2 weeks. I tend to drag it on for about 3 weeks but even then, it rarely ever chips. My nails grow out too much before I ever have to worry about chipping! So I called in and they told me they would fix it. I was a happy camper at this point. But then, less than a week after that, ANOTHER two nails had chipped! I get that there is the question of whether I’ve been more«rough» with my hands this past week but that is not the case. Also, I am someone who has had 20+ experiences with gel manicures, so I know this is not normal. In only ~10 days, 4⁄10 of my nails chipped. There must be something they’re doing wrong. Maybe their nail polish is old or something. I don’t know. When I brought this up to them today, they did not take any responsibility. Instead, they were very rude but did offer to do a new set for $ 5 off when I just wanted to get the two nails fixed again. Um. I’ll pass. Never coming back.

I came in on a very quiet day(I was one of two customers), I asked for a gel mani. The lady was not friendly and poked me with the trimmer a couples times– no blood though– whew! The lady filed quickly and carelessly– some nails were round, others were square… It was not great– I can do a better job at home. I had to pick up the emery board while she was gone to fix my nails so they looked more similar. During application of the gel polish, she would not let me look at my nails and shoved and pushed my hands around so that I got polish all over my cuticles and skin… and surprisingly, I still have gaps of polish-less nail! She also only paints every other nail and cures it in between– then when I was confused by why she did that, she replied with«haven’t you ever had a gel mani done before?» Um… yes, I have and usually they paint all of my nails. To finish, I was not happy with the result. The gel was poorly applied with gaps near the cuticles and some gel layers are super thick while others are thin. This is an ok place to come if you like cheap($ 25) and fast. Though I definitely will not be coming back again.

I was asking the brand that they use for eye lash extensions and the guy just hung up on me. It would be great to be able to communicate in any way. I’ll accept smoke signals and pigeons. Just communicate! Sheesh!

I was introduced to this salon by the wonderful Julie Z and have never looked back since. Normally I’m not the kind of girl who likes spending time or money on regular manicures and pedicures but ever since I started going to T&T I’ve been hooked. They have really great prices on their mani/pedis, great quality work, and provide amazing service. Where else do you pay $ 28 for a mani/pedi, receive free drinks, candy, and nice long massages and a great paint job that stays on for weeks? I am so spoiled now. I’ve had the same coat of paint on my toenails for 4 weeks now and they still look amazing and haven’t chipped yet. What I also love, is their dedication to service. The last time I went, I accidentally bumped my toe and screwed up the polish job while putting on my shoes. They very generously fixed all of it with no extra charge, even though it was completely my fault and even gave me a pair of disposable flip flops to allow my feet to dry completely. A downside of this place though, is that they are not very skilled at acrylics. I did do an acrylic manicure here once(french) and it took a really long time(1.5−2h at least?) for the guy to do it, the tip to nail ratio was also a bit funky and my nails were really sore for 3 – 4 days after he did it. Would not recommend although T&T does it for cheap. I think they don’t have enough experience with acrylics. On the flip side, I had a really good experience doing acrylics at Pinky Nail Spa in San Jose which might become my new go to place for acrylics. All in all, T&T is a great budget mani/pedi place that pampers you for a great price. So it’s not a real«spa» experience, but the massages, quality of the polish jobs, and amazing selection of polishes has converted me into a polishwhore!
