This place is a pretty small and unassuming little joint on Shattuck. The first time I came here, I didn’t even know what it was called LOL. But their boba is perfectly sweet and chewy, and the drinks are pretty big! There’s only one size, and it’s about $ 4 – 5 for it, so price-wise it’s not too bad. I usually go with the strawberry black tea and it’s perfect! It’s pretty sweet but it doesn’t taste artificial at all. I wanna try more of their drinks, but the strawberry tea is just too good. It’s not the kind of place I can see myself hanging out at or studying at, but it’s really convenient to drop by and pick up a drink to go.

This place is pretty new, so my son & I decided to give them a try since they’re right next door to our usual Thai spot. We’re both milktea addicts so any time we see a new place, we kind of just waltz in, hoping that their drinks will live up to their reviews. The place is pretty small with just a bench inside for you to sit while you wait for them to make your drinks. They also sell a few snacks & canned drinks, if you’re not into the milktea. We both ordered our usuals. I got the iced green tea milktea without boba and he got his iced taro milktea with boba. My green tea came out white as regular milk, but after taking a sip… I could tell there was a hint of green tea. We both thought our drinks were just ok, but being that it’s right next to our favorite Thai restaurant – makes it that much easier to just have dinner and then grab a drink afterwards. We wouldn’t go there just for their milktea, but we will stop by when we’re too lazy to drive to Sharetea after dinner. Sometimes convenience will beat out taste, unfortunately.

I’m obsessed with the passion fruit green tea with rainbow jelly. So good. Service is friendly and store is cute and clean. I could come here everyday. I only wish they had a larger size because it’s such a bummer when my tea is over. :)

Saw this place just opened and decided to give it a try. It’s pretty great! Definitely not the cheapest place to get boba, but the drinks also aren’t cheap quality. I tried the green tea with fresh milk and the oolong tea. The balance of milk and tea is very good, and the flavors blend really well. Will be going again. The taro milk had real taro chunks and grapefruit green tea had grapefruit pulp in it! Definitely worth getting. Their milk tea also actually tastes like it was made with tea.

The tea tastes pretty good. I had their jasmine milk green tea, milk black tea, passion fruit green tea, and mango tea. I think their passion fruit tea was too sweet. I tried it as a sample. Everything else I tried was pretty good. They only have one size for the drinks. I still prefer Asha’s tea over theirs simply because Asha’s tea tastes really good. I think this place is pretty decent and I definitely prefer this over Share Tea and Quickly. I would recommend the jasmine milk tea; it’s a classic, you can’t go wrong with that. If you don’t like sweet drinks, get less sugar.

Small store front near Bangkok thai restaurant. Like other reviewers said, it is not the cheapest boba but the taste and quality are worth it in my opinion. Staff have always been super friendly and helpful. The green milk tea and oolong milk tea are my favorites. Their regular black milk tea is good too. The boba has always been sweet and chewy. They remind me of Sharetea but without the complicated menu and ridiculous line. Great addition to this part of Berkeley!

Solid place near the north side of campus for boba. Given its location, it faces stiff competition from Asha and the newly opened 85C, but Share Time is able to find is special niche with a quick, «boba-to-go» model. The shop is small, there’s only one table(seats two) inside, and one outside. It’s definitely best for ordering and taking out, not necessarily a place you’d spend an afternoon studying. Ordering is fast and the drinks come out quickly. They have a pretty standard drink menu with various drinks, toppings, and sweetness levels. The drinks definitely meet my standards for boba quality. I only had the green tea with lychee jelly though, so time will tell if Share Time will become a Berkeley staple.

Time: 3:17pm/88°F sunny Purpose: After a quick brief meet up nearby a scan of place reveals BT only .06 mi away. Walking closer, I’ve a feeling T-Bunz address is nearby too. It became a reality when new awning was seen. Set-up: BT replaces T-Bunz with similar offerings. Place retains the two bistro table from former. One inside and other sidewalk. A stand alone open air fridge with beverages and premade salads fills it in. Counter area with the usual snacks, chip rack, cookies, tip jar, topping samplers, dropleaf door, laminated menu. Electronic two panel menu overhead with everything else behind counter of personal articles. Place is small won’t recommend you speaking your most intimate experience. The guy likes to sit there watching and listening. Staff: A guy and girl duo running the place. The guy works front counter with girl in back being the drink maker. Not sure about this guy, but he was really anxious talks loud. Small place like that and he speaks like a PA system. When I walk in he pop up like just woke up. His voice was coarse and aggressive sounding. I went ahead made a quick decision so he don’t blabber more. Cleanliness: Grade A, cleaner than previous business. Everything covered, package, or place in containers. Straws given are individually wrapped. Eats/Drinks: A7 Taro Milk Tea w/boba $ 3.50. Drink was bad from the start. Water down with powder sediment settling on bottom of cup. I knew something was wrong when drink was handed over. It had the color, but was about it. Taro flavor voided didn’t come close to actual taro smell. Sweetness level was about right because I ask for 30% or less. However, I’ll give points for the boba. It was cook perfectly with chewy consistency and glossy sheen(no curd exterior). A side from that. What a disappointment being a newly open place. The only thing it has going for the place are drinks and it failed. Main Features: Classic milk tea. Products/Services: Fruit tea, fresh milk, brewed tea, milk tea, iced blended, creama, yakult, snow ice. Toppings $.50 extra. Choose your sweetness/ice level. Hot or cold available with(Hot) printed only. Chips, jello, fruit salad, assorted juice/soda/water, pudding, premade salad. Dice game-shake a(1) for BOGO and(6) for half off deals. All other number don’t has no redemption. Punch Lines: Seats are minimal, harried staff, kitschy décor, quite bland, not as great, go elsewhere, trend following, untrained staff, confusing menu, pushing sales, no business etiquette. Tradeoffs: You’re paying trending prices of other well crafted boba places, but you’ll end up with a cup of tastless powder mix with water instead. Final Thoughts: My hopes were high prior to going in, but change after first sip. What got me agitated was the dice game. I wasn’t even offer to play dice game till I pay for my drink after. Should’ve taken dice game as a clue to business structure. If they’re will to do BOGO/half price deal depending on dice game outcome. It tells me they’re not confident of what they offer as well as ingredients use. Instead of having people shaking dice for a deal. How about assign a day of week for that BOGO/half off to happen? That’s if you want to get rid of your old stock fast. Not a stupid person here!

Just ran into this on my way back home and boy was I surprised. The tea was fantastic I got the jasmine milk tea and my friend got the grapefruit tea which was equally as tasty. The boba was a great consistency, chewy, yet not too soft. Update: after coming a few times I really want to say I like it but the milk teas always have way too much cream/milk. They have so much that I taste the milk rather than the tea.

The classic black milk tea is the best I have ever had. The price is reasonbale for students.

Milk tea is really good. Got the black milk tea with pearls. Pearls are chewy and have a hint of sweetness. Milk tea has a nice subtle creaminess and isn’t too sweet. Price is in the upper echelon of milk teas, but deservedly so.
