VERYSMALL portions. More like fish nuggets and you only get a a couple. No thanks. I’ve had great fish and chips in many places and this ain’t one of em.

Being Brits, when we saw the double decker bus and the Union Jack being displayed, we wrongly assumed that it would be decent British fish and chips. We were served luke warm fries and four tiny nuggets of fish that were very greasy. The batter that coated the fish was so hot with pepper that it burnt our taste buds. I’d hate you Americans to think that this is how we serve f & c in Britain. I guess they’re not going for authentic but in case they want to try it, serve a fillet that’s been dipped in a decent beer batter and cooked in hot oil to avoid the grease.

Everyone loves this food cart! It is a double decker bus that looks like it is from london, and they sell fish and chips. The food is good!!! This Company will also go and set up at local festivals and public venues. the style is definitely neat bc you can sit on the tables out side of course near the food cart, or you can eat on the second level of the bus. There are a few of the buses around the Bend area, but the one that is stable and does not move locations is by the horned hand in Bend Or. I would definitely check t his place out!!!

Important: In case you didn’t notice, this place does not take cards! This place is a double-decker english bus. Walking up to it, the menu is painted on the outside of the vehicle and they greet you and take your order through a sliding glass window. The location is a little funky; being behind a bar, on [what must be] the only dirt road in downtown Bend. But they have turned the top story of the bus into a seating area, so at least we didn’t have to try to eat in the car. The seating area was a little funky, being that it was on an old bus, but there is a bar facing outward that lets you look out, and they have napkins, malt vinegar, s&p, and ketchup.(And apparently a flat screen t.v. — no idea if it worked.) There were quite a few options for a food cart. It seemed as though they change things pretty often, because, although I didn’t scour the menu, I didn’t see the wontons mentioned in another review. What I did see were two kinds of tacos with«new» written next to them. One was an avocado taco and the other was a pineapple taco. I inquired about the avocado one and apparently it was deep-fried avocado slices in a taco shell of some sort. Being as we went there for fish and chips, I definitely ordered those, and then decided to swing for the tacos as well. I really didn’t have any problem with the portion size. McMenamins has fish and chips for $ 18, Deschutes Brewery has them for $ 16.50. Here they were $ 8, and they were worth every cent. They weren’t quite as crispy as some I have had in the past, but they were still delicious. The«chips» were not very good; some kind of steak fries and half of them had the mealy taste of not being cooked enough, but I honestly thought the fish made up for it. It was exactly what I was craving, and my husband and I both ate for an even $ 20. Last– the tacos. These were so simple, yet so amazing. It was a soft corn shell that had obviously been lightly fried. In it was a couple slices of the fried avocado, layered with very mild pico and a small amount of sliced cabbage. I ate most of one and it was the perfect appetizer to my fish and chips. Only thing I could say about it was that I don’t think frying the avocado is really necessary, but everyone loves fried food, so maybe it’s just a way to piqué people’s interest.

I was really disappointed in this place. The portion sizes were tiny — two little pieces of fish, but a pile of fries. I think the fish would have been really good, if they had bothered to give us any.
