Well, after many years of purchasing through this store as a vacation rental company, and of course, they are great during the transaction of the sale, but the follow up service with their warranties and service AFTER the fact is extremely poor. I encountered the first«warranty» issue on a dryer, years ago, I accepted the continual excuses, bait and switch, and after several issues, we had the homeowner purchase another dryer to their dismay. Here we are again, a new washer and dryer, purchased through the store with great sales techniques, but after the sale is over, forget it. The Maytag washer that was purchased for a vacation rental, soon encountered issues, we called in on the warranty, which took a few weeks to get someone to look at it, to be called a week later, saying they were ordering the part. After not hearing from them again, I called to check in to see what the status was on the part, another wait, with a return call several days later, TODAY(November 21, 2015), to be told that the earliest for the install would be January 7, 2016. Really, who goes without a washer in a home of any kind? Their excuse? The only have ONE service technician for the entire area, and that person is not even located here. So, I would think, that if they need to hire someone else, great do that. In order to honor a warranty, they should be able to utilize service companies that are here, operate locally if they are not able to fulfill their obligation otherwise. I have set up many homes in this area over the years, I will not be using Standard TV& Appliance ever again, as I can’t operate my business that way. I am only as good as the businesses that support me, and I don’t recommend using this company at all.

I read previous reviews and truly wonder what happened here! We could not have asked for better service from Standard TV and Appliance in Bend. We bought a GE washer and dryer set at the Portland store for our new home in Central Oregon, should have bought it here but that was an error on our part. There were problems with the washer, sounded like there was a load of bricks in it no matter what I was washing, dealt with GE on that, got a refund and got the new washer in and the defective one taken away within 2 days after finishing with GE and their«service provider» Lee’s TV and Appliance out of LaPine!(another 2 set of experiences all together!!) Salesperson, Renee, and manager, Travis, and installer, Casey and his helper, at Standard were absolutely wonderful to deal with through everything. No questions asked, no problems! We will definitely go back there for anything else we need here!

We got a great deal on appliances at Standard but when it came to delivery and customer service it was a very frustrating experience. Our delivery was pushed out twice but there was no phone call to let us know about the delay. Then when they delivered the appliances they were unable to get it into the house, left it in the garage then asked for $ 99 for the delivery. On top of it all Travis the Bend manager and the delivery team were quite rude. In the end I would have paid more for better service.

After less than one year of ownership, our icemaker has not worked for over six months. Dear Standard, I have been calling every day for one week straight… spoken with multiple people and left multiple voicemails. It took weeks for you to deliver our fridge, it took you weeks to send a tech who could do nothing, do I have to wait weeks again for someone to actually talk to me on the phone to order parts for the repair??? Do you really want me to come down there in person? our next conversation is not going to be a pleasant one…

I will never shop here again. We purchased a brand new Maytag Washer and Dryer. We put our first load of clothes in the dryer about an hour after delivery, and it banged like there were bricks in it. We called Standard immediately. They didn’t want to replace it because they«didn’t know what had happened to it since it was dropped off.» Seriously? We put CLOTHES in it! We tried to get a repairman out three times, excuse after excuse, Standard finally replaced the dryer. About a week later, the second one started doing the same thing. I could have have a pair of underwear in it, and it bangs like there is a brick in it. We have attempted, again, to get service on it, and have had them cancel on us three times. Unbelievably expensive waste of money and ridiculous customer«service.» Seems to be common for this company, though.

We bought a full price refrigerator from them 18 months ago. Over the past week, we have noticed puddles of water on the floor each morning. We went to Standard TV& Appliance for assistance. We were told the warranty was only 12 months and then they said, «Oh, well you should have bought the extended warranty» in a way that was insulting and only slightly infuriating. They also informed us they don’t have a customer service department, so let us know we could call a center in Portland for more information. That’s what you call customer service! Needless to say, I wish we’d read these reviews 18 months ago, and they will NEVER be getting our business again. I guess we should have realized the«Standard» in their name means something. They aren’t called«Excellent» TV& Appliance for a reason!

Well here we are about 12 weeks after getting our refrigerator with the dented door. Still no replacement door. Promised over and over but they have our money so why would they care. Save yourself the grief and shop Costo where they value you and keep their word.

I will never shop here again. Sales person«Tanya» was dishonest with us, made repeated promises she did not keep. Kitchenaid refrigerator was delivered missing a shelf. After more than three months of promises via phone conversation and face to face visits she finally took a shelf(white) from another refrigerator on the floor that didn’t match ours(stainless) and told us that was all she could get. She said they didn’t make ours any more. Well, guess what, the fridge and parts are availalbe all over the internet and from Kitchenaid. Issue, I think, was the stainless model shelf is about $ 130. The white shelf is less than $ 30. This is after Tanya telling us mulitple times she had the shelf. First, it wasbehind her desk and it got moved, then it was locked in the parts department and no one could get to it, and then telling us it was in her car because she had planned to drop it by but was in a different car that day. Sheeesh! Had delivery and filter issues that also went unresolved. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody.

Honestly, I will never reach out for there services again. was very un satisfied by there service, prices and customer service. They are triple in price and do a horrible job at even showing that they care. I understand a mark up, but taking advantage is another.

Went in Standard TV& Appliance to look for a new refrigerator. My home requires a 42″ wide built in. I was directed to a KitchenAide model: KBFC42FTS. The sales person told me their price was $ 9,300 and the list price was $ 11,000. She told me they don’t negotiate on the price. Later I looked online and found out the list price is actually $ 8,700 and the unit can be had for well under $ 8,000. Avoid.

I bought an item with cash then tried returning it a week later but was told since I used cash would have to wait two weeks. What year is this? In the old days we’d pay with a check and have to wait for it to be cashed… I understand that 1985 thinking but unexcusable in today’s world to wait 2 weeks to return an item purchased with cash. I feel bad for this local Portland company… bad service equates to never returning again.

I want to thank James Eck the technician from Standard TV& Appliance that very patiently assisted me as i was having trouble with my brand-new Whirpool washer. He also gave me numerous«tips» regarding the usage, in general, of my «smart-washer» as I call it. He also shared his expertise about the usage and care of the new dryer as well. He is very knowledgeable and polite.

I should have taken the reviews of the parent store in Portland as a warning. I purchased a new washer and dryer from the Bend location. Sales went okay except for the salesman selling me an set of hoses when the washer actually comes with a new set. My washer stops six months later, so I call their service dept. for a person to come out. Service tech. makes a diagnosis which I question him on, and when I do he changes his diagnosis and says he will have to order a part. It has been two weeks since he has been out and I have not received a call back from them. I called today to check the status of the order, and I am told the part has not come in yet and they have no tracking number to tell me when it will be in. I ask when the part was ordered and the service dept. tells me the 18th which is a full 9 days past the day they were at my house. Not having a working washer in the house is a giant inconvenience. Having the company responsible for repairing it taking their time to fix it, and diagnosing the original problem without doing an electrical test on the part in question has me concerned that they might be wrong. This is all unprofessional in my opinion. When I start looking for a new stove it won’t be with Standard TV& Appliance.
