I met Nick the owner of the shop when my rental snowboard broke on my 2nd run of the day at mt. Bachelor. Nick told me he owned a shop and they were open until 7 so I could swing by and grab a rental for the next day with much lower prices. Having the shop open until 7 is awesome, it gives you time to come down from the mountain and shower before heading over. They also have gear for big dudes as I am 6’3″ and 290lbs the boards were solid and in great condition. The transaction was easy and effortlessly prices were awesome and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If I don’t have my own board by the time I head back to bend I will definitely rent from them again.

I came in for a repair on my snowboard binding. They found the part and got fixed my board in minutes. Selection is good and the service is great.

Great little shop! Good selection of snow gear and skate gear. Cool staff. They have a beer garden out front that is super chill. Definitely a fun spot. Check it out!

Ever wanted to get your day-drunk on while buying new snowboarding goggles? Aspect Boards & Brews has you covered! So I’m not much of an extreme sports guy. No, instead I found Aspect Boards & Brews by accident and by way of the kick-ass burritos served from the Shred Town burrito cart out front. As I was waiting for my meal, I decided that I deserved a beer to wash it down, and thankfully this board shop had me covered. I was able to choose from a decent number of beers and sit at communal tables while I waited for my food from next door(or their side lawn, but who’s counting). They played good music and were super friendly. I don’t know what more you could ask for. So, if you want to know about what’s inside, the only info I can offer is that they have a small but well rounded inventory for all your flinging-yourself-down-a-mountain needs. They had some hats and gloves that I like. They had some other stuff too. But really, for me I was sold by the beer and sunshine, both served up in a good environment. I’ll be back on my next trip to Bend, for sure!

We tried Aspect twice when we visited Bend. Both times were in the evening, when the Lot was to crowded. What I like about this place is that the staff are laid back and helpful and appreciate your business, they are dog friendly which we had ours with us on both occasions. It was busy both times but the employee, who was there by himself, made time to bring out a bowl of water for our dog, now that’s customer service! They allow outside food to be bought in which is nice, we went to the Lot, got our food and came back to have a beer and eat. Yeah, its attached to the board shop but we didn’t see any issues when we were there. Minors are not allowed after 8 pm so if you know that going in you’re ok. I liked the beer selection and were provided samples with no issues. Didn’t see any aggressive dogs when we were there and there wasn’t any smoking issues or «creepy» people hanging out. Will be back!

My favorite hang out spot by far! I started coming here when I decided to Learn how to snow boarding and Katie the owner helped me get set up for success and I have gone back ever since. Now they offer beer, cider and sangria all local all great! For hole to play friends to meet, the staff is always super nice and here to help with anything you need! Shred town is a food cart right next to it to offer yummy grub, and aspect is dog AND kid friendly… Come one, come all! I would def make it a must if you’re down for some good fun in the sun!!!

Honestly the selection is poor. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be but when there’s no selection there isnt much the staff can do. I am also disturbed with the bar out front. I understand bend is a craft Beer enthusiast but to attach one to a board shop is just tacky. If you need beer 10 barrel is next door! I miss the old atmosphere where kids and teens were welcome.

First off, this is a BAR attached to a board-shop. When I attempted to take my daughter in there for a helmet there were creepy characters smoking & sipping beer out front, with growling aggressive dogs and with large«minors prohibited» signs everywhere behind them. The place reeks of booze and smoke smell. The sales associate is also the bar tender. If you have children of ANY age I strongly recommend you take your business somewhere else.

This place was amazing. Great customer service, very knowledgeable staff, and nice selection of merchandise. We built a custom board for my daughter and my husband picked up a pintail longboard. Highly recommend this place for all your skate board needs!

As a Bend local, there is no other boardshop in town I trust more than Aspect. Every time friends of mine come from out of town to go skiing or snowboarding I always take them to Aspect for their gear rentals and have never had an unpleasant experience — it’s always been quite the opposite! The staff is knowledgable, friendly, patient and willing to take the time to answer any questions we may have. For a small, locally-owned shop Aspect offers a more than reasonable selection of gear — especially when it comes to skate and snow gear. I plan to purchase my next snowboard from Aspect as they are an awesome shop where I know I will get the help I need in choosing my next board!

expensive and the selection and choices are limited. I did not receive friendly or welcoming service and the outside looks sketchy and run down. There are better board shops in town to choose from.

Aspect’s staff is knowledgeable, helpful and very nice. It’s the only skate/snow shop in Bend I feel 100% comfortable visiting and purchasing from. They always have what we need/want and if they don’t have it they find it, even recommending other local shops.

A a native Californian, we of course showed up to go snowboarding with no gear. The staff was friendly and helpful. Aspect took the time to outfit my tween daughter with everything we needed(including the clothing) which helped make her first snowboard experience a success. I would highly recommend this place for any gear needs. Rental clothing and gear looked practically new and was very high quality.

Aspect had a huge impact in making our ski trip to Bend a success. We rented ski gear for our whole family and all the gear was in good shape, and the prices were the best in town(especially with the online coupon). As an added bonus, they also rent helmets. It was cheaper for us to add a ski rack to our rental car and rent gear at Aspect than it would have been to rent gear at Mt. Bachelor. Also, it’s so nice to show up at the mountain without having to deal with the lines and hassle of the rental shop. But besides the good gear and prices, the best part of the experience was working with the people there. Everyone was really nice and seemed genuinely concerned that we have the best experience possible. They are extremely flexible about keeping the rentals for extra days, payment, etc. Regarding the previous post about a dispute with damaged gear, they offer a VERY reasonable $ 3/day damage waiver that is good insurance about such a situation. I hope to be back in Bend again and will definitely visit Aspect when we do.

While visiting Bend… seems to be our home away from home… I needed snowboard rentals and boots! Yes, I must be the only living 30 something that is just not trying to board! Doh!!! So how does one choose a rental shop in Bend? With sooooo many to choose from, they are practically on every corner(like Starbucks in Portland)… So with the help of Unilocal and our rental location, we choose Aspect. Sooo glad we did! My sweetie already has his own board and boots, so I was the only one who needed rentals. I do not like to rent up on the mountain, it’s more $$ and a pain with all the lines. These folks had me in and out with my gear in 15 minutes. They were very friendly too, no attitude here, even when they found out this was only my second time going boardin… they were still all smiles and very helpful! They carry all the cool gear too from snowboards to long boards, and wheels for your skate boards. It would be too easy to drop a couple of pay checks in under an hour in here! But until I fully commit to the snowboarding thing… I will come here for my rentals when I get that urge to go play on the mountain :)

Update: Changed from 1 to 3 stars for the response about working to make things better. I’m glad to hear it! Original post: My wife and I rented ski gear from Aspect instead of renting on the mountain to try to save a little money. In the end, we were stuck with $ 30 in bogus repair fees and had to rent gear from another location. See below for details. My wife, because of a poor fit for her boots(admittedly not Aspect’s fault), only used her skis for a single day, half in the learning area and half on the bunny slope. Her use was far away from any of the rocks or stumps on the mountain. I handled her gear myself and know it was not damaged while in transit. Upon returning our gear, they found no fault with my board(which I put through much more use than my wife) but claimed damage to one of my wife’s skis. They pointed out a 4 cm long, 3 mm wide, and 1 mm deep gouge in the base of a ski. There was no visible defect or deformation of the edge or any other part of the ski. When I explained the nature of our use of the ski and that there was no way we could have caused the damage, the only response was that they checked all returned gear and so must have given us the ski without the damage. They offered no supporting documentation. I question the validity of that claim and question whether the damage was truly significant(I’ve only used rentals and so have never waxed my own gear, but it appeared that the damage was only to the wax). Considering the edge of the ski was intact and that all the ski likely needed was fresh wax, a repair charge did not seem legitimate and a $ 30 charge seems outright fraudulent. We left the shop and ended our excellent trip on a very negative note. If I return to Bend with a need for rental, I will not return to Aspect. My suggestion to skiers who choose to rent from Aspect is that they photograph all rented gear upon receipt to document any existing damage, however insignificant.

Really great staff, great customer service. They helped both of my kids build their skateboards there. Steered them in the right direction for what they wanted and needed. No hard sell on the more expensive accessories, just sensible choices that were very cool for the kids. Plus, gave them a little peptalk on wearing proptective wear — reinforcement is always good in my book. It’s a small store, but with a pretty decent selection.
