This is a review ONLY for the waxing experience. I didn’t get my nails done, so I can’t comment on that aspect of the salon.
After reading reviews specifically on waxing here, I thought I’d give it a try. The location was perfect for me, and the price was comparable to other salons in the area.
However, they use STRIP wax which hurt about ten times more than a Brazilian should. I ended up with a terrible case of folliculitis (I always get a few bumps after a Brazilian, but this time it was EVERY SINGLE pore that was irritated and inflamed.) Add to that she did not even get all the hairs (not to be too graphic, but the inner parts were not waxed AT ALL.) It’s been just over a week now, and I have more ingrown hairs than I have ever had after a Brazilian.
Admittedly, I do have relatively sensitive skin. However, I’ve been getting Brazilians regularly for about 8 months, and I have been able to handle them just fine. I’m new to the area and WILL NOT be returning here.
Also, don’t take the menu prices for waxing at face value. The first time is always more expensive according to them. For instance, the menu says a Brazilian is $ 45, but that’s a maintenance price. Also, it’s ONLY the front, not the back. You have to ask specifically to have the back done. That’s an extra $ 10 (the first time cost me $ 65, not including tip) I was told the maintenance price for front and back would be $ 55. For that price, I’m finding a new salon that uses hard wax. Any suggestions please IM me!

Such a surprise. My daughter and I received spa gift cards from our realtor Whitney Keiller, and I have her mine. She used them here and convinced me to try them. We are from California, Land of Spas. This place is wonderful and Gladys is the best.
