I switched to Medic Pharmacy this year when Walgreens stopped taking clients with Express Scripts. I like them, and they seem to know what they’re doing for the most part. By that I mean that they fill my prescriptions correctly and are kind and courteous. However, they’re not as good at communication when there is a problem with a prescription being filled or needing approval. I had to follow up with them to find out when a prescription was approved, and it had been sitting on the shelf for a few days already, waiting for me. A call to me that the prescription was ready would have been nice. I wish they had a website where we could find out that information. On the positive side, they do have a 24-hour number that you can call to refill prescriptions. I’m sure this is just a matter of me getting used to dealing with a different pharmacy.

If you want a pharmacy that adds a personal touch and makes you feel like your health is important! Then go to Medic Pharmacy. My elderly parents(both in their 80’s) switched from Walgreen’s to this smaller phamacy in June. I was a little worried that they would not have their meds when needed. Wrong! They have always been able to fill all of our prescriptions. They even deliver them to our home. My parents live close enough to the pharmacy and they love walking over to visit the staff… They sometimes make it a fieldtrip for the day.

once upon a time, in the year 1992, a young lad named fran entered the workforce never to exit it again. the place of entrance was medic pharmacy and he was hired to restock shelves, deliver drugs(ahem, medicinal drugs), help at the counter, answer phones, and even occasionally clean up after vomiting customers. ewwww! i know i know. tell me about it, i had to relive the awful but well repressed memories to write this review. see how much i love you folks? now let get serious for a moment and let me tell you that if you think the job of a pharmacist and his or her crew is easy as pie, well, IT’S NOT! you get sick customers, mentally not all there customers, desperate and in real need for drug refills but not insurance coverage customers, you get to see all form of human medical condition and some of them leave you with lingering loss of appetite. especially those coming in with a «rash». medic is the bomb. this place is a «good neighborhood» associated pharmacy. takes medical, medicare, blue shield, kaiser, even your grandma and best of all will deliver your medicines for free! come on, admit it, there is nothing worst than being sick and having to get on your car and drive to get your meds, right? medic saves the day! even if i no longer work there, you should check them out. if they’re still hiring young men like myself, the place can’t be all that bad, right? just don’t forget to tip if you get your meds delivered. it’s tough being a working college student!
