A shout out to the excellent service last week to the HK server who is passionate about tea. Friendly service who was so helpful in checking up on refilling my tea pot with hot water. She gave me a brief history about the different teas and showed me a detailed tea menu describing the tea process. It really got me intrigued to want to expand my tea horizon. Awesome tea experience to escape the gloomy cold rainy weather to this peaceful oasis. Thank you to the lovely server. You made my day!

Cutest little tea place. The hostess was so cute. She had so many suggestions on what tea i should try and what desserts i should eat. I had tons of questions and she was able to answer them all and even included more info about certain types of teas and the benefits of drinking them. Great place.

Had their A Li Shan tea in the shop before, it tastes great, pure high mountain tea with great taste. Ordered this tea again online and the delivery was super fast! Package maintains pretty well. Will definitely order again, which is very convenient.

I am a regular tea drinker. I have my own tea set and bought tea leaves from China and another tea house in Seattle. I like Smatch’s attitude. Their store is modern and beautiful. They hold tea class to educate drinkers and build loyalty. I probably will go there to have a drink with my friend. But when buying tea for my daily consumption, I will turn to other sources, because: 1) they do not have free tea tasting; 2) their tea is not the best in combination of quality and price, in my opinion.

Really enjoyed it here. Great oolong and green dragon pearl. Very courteous customer service. Nice interior. Only draw back strange smell of space when we entered.

Awesome place to get authentic tea. Don’t expect boba tea here, but they do have more«modern» drinks like a matcha green tea latte.

I pretty much tried all the tea latter options they have. My favorite one is matcha latte(prefer hot one). Their matcha latter is probably the best I have had in Washington. Not better than jp thou. I would definitely try the tea tasting as well. I had it with the boss. He is really kind and willing to share his knowledge with tea. I remembered he said he bring his own tea with him when he go to restaurant. Like dim sum hahha :)!

Their tea is really good and the interior is the best among all the tea places I’ve been too. The owner told me he hand picks the products for his store and has tea farms in China.

Perfect place if you need to get a gift for a tea lover and need some fine recommendations. If you have time and 2 friends I would highly suggest the cupping. You can try 3 different teas for $ 15 and get a better idea of what you want. The employees are incredibly knowledgable and passionate about what they do. The location is a little small so I would say make a reservation if you want to do the cupping, just in case.

The cookies & pastries they sell are delightful! The girl at the register was super sweet and willing to give her suggestions as well. Will definitely go back to try their tea!

Great Chinese décor and quaint feel to the shop. Was excited to stop on by based on all the raving Unilocal reviews, but walked out a bit disappointed. Overall drink prices are pretty pricey for quantity, but that’s understandable based on the high quality of tea they serve here. Wife and I ordered the Chai Latte, and found it to be really disappointing. It tasted not very spicy/flavorful at all and quite frankly very watered down. Perhaps it wasn’t steeped long enough or the ratio of cream/water was off. Mistakes happen, so willing to try a Jasmine/Oolong instead next time, but won’t go out of way to come back.

Great tea. Awesome selection. Cup of tea was on the brink of luke warm. I personally like mine really hot. Cute spot. I’d like more lounge areas and there’s no wifi!

Walking into Smatcha and I just feel happy. When I order my jasmine tea latte and I smell that aromatic, sweet tea, it transcends me back into time like old China and I’m an Empress. Ok, maybe a slight exaggeration but I am impressed with the quality of their tea and their preparation of it. My tea latte is this perfectly infused blend of the rich, flowery taste of jasmine with a slightly sweetened mix of soy milk. The flavor rolls and lingers on my tongue and I wish I could wake up to this every morning. Sad to say, I don’t live in the area anymore so I can’t just zip over here and get it. This tea spot also sells a lovely assortment of Japanese desserts. They mainly consist of rice flour and adzuki(red) beans, meaning they’re very delicate, slightly chewy and lightly sweetened. If you’ve never tried them before, I’d highly recommend giving it a try. I definitely make it a point to stop here when I’m back in Bellevue since this type of store is incomparable to all else.

What a cool store in a weird place. You walk into a different world here. We ordered a pot of tea and some snacks, and sorta drank the afternoon away. I highly recommend coming here if you like tea or coffee. They do to go orders as well. I loved how pretty and relaxing this place is. The waterfall is really soothing. It’s behind the ihop, by the goodwill. This is the kind of place I would expect in downtown Bellevue not here. But the tea was so good, who cares.

I admit their wagashi is the only reason I came in here. I don’t drink as much tea as I used to so I am much more sensitive to caffeine now. But their wagashi is delivered from Tokara in Phinney Ridge and if you can’t wait for that one Sunday a month, you can get her confectionary at Smacha. Along with the wagashi, I also purchased their matcha olive oil cake and their matcha red bean rice flour cake. Both were delicious but I especially liked the mochi cake. I also had an oolong latte because what the hell. I’m in a tea shop. It made the nightmare drive home to Seattle a bit more bearable.

One of the most amazing tea houses in the area. The décor amazes me, the second I took my first step inside I felt like I was in a spa! There are numerous types of tea to choose from, and when I mean numerous? They have a full booklet of tea to choose from. I am making it a personal mission to try each and every flavor before I die, ask about the strainer that is unique to smacha. I have yet to buy it so I can pour my tea with ease. All in all a great tea house. Amazing atmosphere, perfect flavors and awesome staff! I don’t have a single complaint about this diamond in the rough.

This is an authentic tea house. There’s excellent customer service, tea tasting, and lots of products to purchase. They have everything a tea connoisseur would love to have. I’ve been here a couple times to enjoy a pot of tea. They have all my favorites and a few I haven’t heard of before. I recommend Smacha if you’re a real tea lover.
