Great shop in Bellevue– I visit often from downtown Nashville and really appreciate the solid craft beer selection. Very fair prices, and a fun once a year«Rare Whiskey» lottery drawing. Definitely check this spot out!

4.5 Despite living nowhere near Bellevue, I will come here again and again. Finding go-to, full service beer, wine and spirits stores in Nashville isn’t as easy as one might think. When the going gets tough, the tough go west. Now, I know what you might be thinking. In order to drive clear across the city and out of the city(Bellevue isn’t Nashville proper), this guy has to be a raging alcoholic. No, I am not. I am just used to doing all my shopping in one place and there aren’t many options in the city proper at which to do so. I’ll drive for quality.* And, Iroquois has quality. It starts with the owner. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile, a welcome and an offer to help me find what I was looking for. When I let him know that I was in the market to make my own six pack of brown ales, pick up a bottle of wine and check out the rum selection, he took me to each area, point by point. The fact that I could make my own six pack was already putting Iroquois on my good side. The beer selection isn’t as deep as some other stores but the casual-to-slightly-more-involved beer drinker should be able to find some brews s/he likes. Like many Nashville stores, the selection skews to the hoppy in favor of malt. In the front of the store, you have the option to fill a growler(or, three). I think the taps rotate and being able to, literally, get your fill is a nice plus. Where Iroquois shines is in wine and spirits. There’s a great selection of a wine variety of adult grape juice and spirits and the pricing is fair enough that you can buy a few bottles and not hurt your wallet. The store and selection are bigger than you think upon first glance. Take your time and peruse the selection. Ask questions. Again, the owner will make you feel like a valued customer and steer you to a great purchase. Did I mention the store has weekly wine tastings(Wednesdays)? Yep, definitely worth driving for… *Funny thing: I almost bought in this neighborhood. I had a conversation in the parking lot, looking at the Kroger, and wondering if I could/should live here without a brood of kids. The stores in this parking lot(and prox. to the park) almost made me a 37221-er.

I’m a drunk, therefore I’ve been to most liquor stores in Nashville. All of them actually, and this is my favorite one by far. The selection is great for the size of the place. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. When I go in I feel like i’m buying booze from friends, not judgmental strangers. For the wino there is a superb amount of wine to choose from. Wines from the vineyards of Spain, California, Italy and beyond! Even a decent selection of Sake too. I usually gravitate to the box wine because for the amount you get it’s usually cheaper to go that route. It also cuts down on the amount of bottles you throw away. The box wine keeps you from looking like Nicolas Cage from«Leaving Las Vegas» every time you take out the trash. Always a win. They carry champaign too but I hate champaign so I don’t know how that section is. If your a beer drinker, they got you covered too. The selection isn’t as big as other places but what they do have is very good. I usually go for the $ 1.99 Dog Bite in a pint can myself. Because it’s Nashville and they have stupid, outdated, puritan church laws still in place, you have to get high gravity beer at privately owned liquor stores. Also because of the overly Christian Bible belt politics of Tennessee, all liquor stores are closed on Sundays. Free country we live in right? They also have a grand selection of the hard stuff. Scotch, rum, tequila, whisky, bourbon, vodka its all here! If your looking for ulcer tonic, they got plastic jug Popov right on the bottom shelf! If your more of a high roller then you’ll find the fine selection of brandy to your liking. The prices are fair as well. I find they are lower or the same as another store in town. An important factor for the discerning booze bag. The only things that could make this place better would be if they were open on Sundays and if they delivered. But this isn’t California so those things are not their fault. I guess if i felt that strongly about those issues i’d vote next time. But I got better stuff to do, like drink. This place is great! Check them out, you’ll be glad you did. Cheers

I randomly stopped in Iroquois one day, and I immediately sought out their selection of rye whiskey. I was looking for something, and I couldn’t remember the name. An employee quickly noticed and came over to help me. Although I never thought of the name, the employee talked about rye with me at length, offering a variety of suggestions at different price levels. He recommended Whistle Pig, and I shrugged it off because of the price. He was fine with this, but he told me that I needed to try it even if I didn’t buy a bottle. We went over to the in-store bar area, and he poured me a sample. Life changed. Bottle purchased.

Very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff. The store is very clean and organized. As a whiskey/scotch/bourbon drinker I have asked for recommendations and they have always gone out of there way to help me. Added bonus… when you walk in the staff always greets you… makes you feel like your a VIP.

Somewhat embarrassed to admit that I’ve been buying alcohol enough to have a favorite liquor store. But I have and I do. And it is Iroquois. Not as impressive from the outside as Red across the street but they have everything you’d want and AMAZING customer service. Always helpful without seeming pushy and always with great suggestions. A wine lover friend says they have some Italian wines he loves and can’t find elsewhere.

My absolute favorite liquor store in all of Nashville. Love the guys and gals that work there and Art always has a great suggestion for bourbon for me(So far Temperance is my favorite suggestion from him but Eagle Rare was damn good as well, though I keep going back to the Sazerac Rye too).

I’m so blind when it comes to alcohol. The people in here make it so easy. They help if you want them and they pick out great stuff for you. I admit I like it so much I’ve never tried Red across the street. They have a great selection and their prices aren’t bad. If you get 6 regular bottles of wine or 3 large ones you get 10% off. They also keep a great selection chilling in the cooler if you need it cold now. The best thing is that they frequently update their stock with new items so when I go in there is always a new surprise waiting!

Red is great for sheer selection, but after shopping at Iroquois, I am impressed by their customer service. Two people asked if I needed assistance almost immediately, but then happily left me alone when I said I was browsing. They volunteered that they were doing a tasting the same afternoon and said they planned to do them weekly. They also clued me in to their Facebook deals — friends can get some amazing prices. I will definitely add this to my liquor store rotation. It’s nice to have choices after such a long drought.

Iroquois Wine & Spirits has a smaller homey feel to it with really personable service. They seem to have a little bit of this and that with pickings from the high and low ends. It’s also common to find different featured items on sale when I visit and I never leave empty handed. I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve tried from there thanks to their recommendations! And like Lauren S., I also enjoy their«snazzy» reusable bag! Last thing to note is that if you buy 6 bottles, you’ll get 10% off your purchase. :)

This place is sort of hidden in a strip mall next to Kroger so it’s hard to miss — but it’s worth seeking out! The selection is smaller than the superstore across the street(Red Wine & Spirits) but the service is great. If they don’t have something you need, they will call Red and have them put it aside for you. Iroquois also gave me a snazzy lil reusable bag for all my wine purchases as well.(What can I say? I’m a sucker for free stuff =))
