I really wanted to love this place but my last experience was just not up to par. I had been to this place just once before to grab a breve latte(which was actually pretty good!). This last trip… Not so much. I came in over the weekend to grab some food and maybe a dessert with a friend(shopping break). The place was pretty busy, it is conveniently located next to the container store. We stood in line in awe of all of the donuts, cupcakes and macaroons. Such a beautiful site, colorful rows of baked goods. Anyways… We began to order and asked for one of the sandwiches on the board(pear, brie and bacon), the guy working behind the counter stated they no longer made the sandwich(then why still have it on the menu if you don’t even make it?). We then asked for a suggestion of which of the other sandwiches they would recommend, another female worker standing nearby said they were out of the grilled cheese. Ok 2 of the 5 options are unavailable. Not wanting any of the other options, we decided to go with soup. I then proceeded to order a few of the baked desserts, all which came nicely packaged in individual boxes/pastry bags. When I paid I asked if I could have a bag(having 4 – 5 individual pastries) and received a reply that they only had large bags. Fine… I wasn’t going to be able to carry around these mini boxes. The guy at the counter handed me an extremely large bag, didn’t even attempt to help me bag any of my purchases. SUGGESTION! get bags; ones that fit your products. Soup was good… the bread(focaccia to be exact)… a totally different story. Dry, pretty much stale, disgusting. I was very surprised with all the baked goods around that Frost would be serving such terrible bread. I hesitantly went up to request a fresher batch… maybe one that wasn’t left out on the counter. I was promptly handed a new side of focaccia which wasn’t much better to be honest. We ended up finishing our soups but for the price, I probably wont order it again. Only filled the container ¾ of the way to begin with! If your in need of a decent coffee make your way in, for anything more substantial… i’d head elsewhere.

Went there with my son and we got all 3 items to try. The macarons, when I first took a bite it feels like it had been sitting there for days. its dry, crunchy, and super sweet, and has no hints of the actual taste of the flavor. The donut, I had the Aztec chocolate and that was ok, but the cake part was kind of dry. I do like the spicy flavoring. But I still prefer Top Pot donuts! My son(he’s 3.5) had the frost cake, took a few bites, and told me that he doesn’t want it anymore. He said it was yucky! I tried the cake and it was dry, and the frosting was stiff and super sweet. Even my 3 year old thinks its yucky, I don’t think this place is worth going!

Eh. I was really excited about trying this place out and finally we made it there last week but were quite disappointed. Pros: location is good and it’s a well lit place and quite spacious. They have coffee, tea, and Italian soda choices galore. They also have decent donuts, overpriced macaroons and cupcakes to satisfy your sweet tooth or for a post dinner date in Bellevue. Cons: they completely forgot about my order and we waited for my cup of tea for 15 minutes which is ridiculous because they were not busy at all. My bf already had his Americano and drank it and I ate my macaroon with no tea. We finally walked up to them asking where my tea was and they just said oh sorry and poured water and dropped the tea bag in there.(It wasn’t like a special Brewer tea or anything which required time which I would’ve understood). No «we apologize, here’s a free drink card for next time» or something of that nature meaning a gesture to show they are sorry and this sort of service is not commonplace. Considering they’re brand new and are establishing their clientele — client retention should be a focus of theirs. But I guess the traffic they’ll get bc of their location in Lincoln square allows them to not worry about repeat business. I do think the place has potential but customer service needs an immense amount of work. And honestly with a Starbucks being across the street I would just rather go there for a tea, coffee and a scone or whatever knowing they’ll have my drink ready in under 3 minutes and they’ll get it right and if not they take care of me next time which is why most of us a dedicated loyal customers to a big corporate giant like that even though I we would love to give our business to a local spot instead … But 3 stars bc I do believe there’s potential and they can turn things around if they actually try and take to what their customers say.

While we were on a trip to the Bellevue Art Museum to see a collection there last weekend we tried to knock off as many bookmarked places as we could and there was a fair amount of bookmarks concentrated where we were! FROST was one of those places and it was a business well worth bookmarking. Like anything some places you bookmark can wind up being duds but not this place! Here I had an Orange Spice Cake which was wonderful and decadent! The frosting was perfect and not too sugary. Steve had a couple of macaroons which also were wonderful! They also serve tea and coffee drinks as well to go along with their wonderful sweets! Kind of a hoppin’ place on the weekends!

Frost has been open for a couple of months now. I’ve been there once when they first opened, and once again recently, seems like they still have som kinks to iron out. My biggest problem with them is, they are slow. There’s usually only 1 or 2 people working who have to deal with both getting you the order and ringing you up. Then there’s the barista making you the drink, which always takes forever. While one may argue that quality can’t be rushed, I didn’t think their espresso drinks are any better. The macarons are tasty. Get them. I passed on the cupcakes since some reviews say they can be dry, but I did decide to get a custard filled donut since it looked good. The problem though, they did not pipe in enough custard so only 1⁄3 of the donut had custard in it. Maybe I’ll try a cupcake next time, or just stick with macarons.

OMG — these«cupcakes» are THEBOMB! I put cupcakes in air quotes as the are a bitter flatter than a normal cupcake and in the shape of a mini tart. We shared a winter wedding cake«cupcake»…vanilla cake with blue vanilla frosting. Literally melted in our mouths — the cake was so soft, spongy and moist and the frosting was creamy, smooth with the perfect amount of sweetness. I thought the sweet/sugar level was perfect — some of these cupcake places OVER sweeten their cakes and frosting a too much. This was the best cupcake I have had in Seattle, and I have been to them all… Trophy(too sweet), Royale(dry, dry, DRY!), etc… We were almost fighting over the last bite. It was that good! They have spruced the place up from the former Tullys with fresh paint, a gorgeous, glass-enclosed pastry case, and new décor. Very nice! Will be back to try more«cupcakes» and donuts! They also have a full coffee bar. –1 star for overly-loud music(we were practically shouting over the table) and the server didn’t seem too into his job(but he was really nice). Don’t miss this great little nook next to the mammoth Container Store.

What a super addition to Lincoln Square — exactly what it needed! Frost features a beautiful interior, warm and inviting in shades to chocolate and pink against a clean white background. Plenty of tables to sit and share a treat and linger. The pastries are magnificent — mini cakes decorated beautifully with little snowmen, too perfect to eat. We enjoyed a sampling of donuts — the classic glazed was light as air, as it should be, but even better, so was the salted caramel cake donut, a very pleasant surprise. The cruller was so good my daughter went back for a second. The display is lovely and displays each piece like its a work of art, which is a nice touch. We took some macarons to go and are looking forward to sampling them after dinner. It seems like they have other things there — savory dishes and of course, coffee — but honestly, it’s hard to get past the pastries and there’s just no reason to.

2.5 stars. Dry cupcakes. Disappointing. Maybe it’s the thick paper that they are baked it. Salted caramel was disappointing. Though I like a filled cupcake the caramel was too thick. It would be nice if it oozed instead of a clump. For $ 4 no thank you. I’ll stick with my other cupcake places.

The world needs more places for donuts… and Bellevue is no exception to that. While the donuts here would be somewhere in the middle when compared to all of the great shops in the area, the quality and price ratio really works in this market. Not to mention that they offer other desserts besides donuts and they’re open late. Did you read that? Yes, they’re open later, which means I can have a donut at 9 pm and not worry about either the store closing or them running out of stock. Thank you. I also think the prices here are excellent for Bellevue. I believe I only paid $ 1.20 for a cruller. The quality was between Safeway and Top Pot, so yes, not incredible, but for the price/location/convenience it works. I’m just hoping there won’t be too much of an inflation on that in the near future. I haven’t tried their other desserts, but the cupcakes and macarons look awesome. They really do a great job on presentation and bonus! There are really cool flavors… like a spumoni macaron. Where else can I get one of those?! So far, I’m definitely a fan of FROST! This is a great place to swing by after or before grabbing a movie upstairs.

Found this place on accident. It’s a chic, elegant place. My boyfriend and I weren’t hungry, but we wanted to try something since we stumbled in. We both shared the bacon maple donut. It was $ 2.49(that’s the highest priced donut there, $ 2.49)… It was scrumptious. I’m not a big fan of donuts but I enjoyed this as it wasn’t too sweet… Nor was it greasy. I mean, it’s nothing I would order a dozen of to go… this is just a great place to have a coffee, pastry, and a good conversation at. I would love to try their other delicious looking items there next time… They have macaroons, cupcakes, sandwiches, and a little café area where they seem to make specialty coffee drinks.

A cute little café that serves both bakery and coffee(Well, it’s not that little… but it is still cute haha). I just really like the way they design the store. Pretty opened space, a lot of seating area, cute decoration which make the place looks like a modern and happy café. They present their bakery very well in the organized, spacious showcase, which include donuts cupcakes and macarons. They also provide large drink menu from all the Espresso stuff to many flavors of Italian Sodas. I mainly went there tonight just to check out the place so obviously I would get my usual boring cup of Mocha and a Maple Bar. In addition, I also got a Peanut Butter Cup Cupcake for my breakfast tomorrow…(Don’t judge!!). Anyway, their Maple Bar was solid. I mean you can’t really go wrong with Maple Bar anyway, right? It has really nice soft texture that has the right amount of frosting on top of it. If the Maple Bar was good, that means all the other donuts should be good as well, right? I hope so… haha. Their Mocha was just okay though, I was expecting something better. I don’t think any place in Bellevue has beaten my favorite Mocha at Café Cesura yet. And Frost’s Mocha is still behind Starbucks, too… So. yeah. it’s just a 4 stars place if taking coffee’s taste into account, too. Next time I will try something else and maybe who knows I will get better drinks!

Swung by to grab coffee and donuts on my way to watch Star Wars. Can’t hurt to have sugar and caffeine before a movie, right? The shop replaces Tully’s and is large and bright. The donuts and cakes are prominently displayed and you make your selections as you filter toward the cashier. I grabbed an old fashioned and an Aztec chocolate, paid, and was on my way. Unfortunately for me, the Aztec chocolate was spicy, which I didn’t expect. I wish the person I ordered from would’ve mentioned it. While I don’t often crave donuts like I do other things, Frost may end up being a stop on my way to many movies in my future.

I love frost and love this location it gives me more reason to hit the gym. Went there the other day to get an Americano and donut. The line was moderate and the donuts could have been a little fresher. But the coffee is great will hit it up again soon

Such a welcome addition to Lincoln Plaza! Glad to see a big chain replaced by a local bakery. There are savory items here for people looking to diversify or grab lunch with a sweet treat. Things like grilled sandwiches and coffee. But more importantly they have amazing cupcakes and donuts too! I was lucky enough to try a half dozen of the donuts on opening day of this location and absolutely loved everything I bit into. I want to say I didn’t eat all 6 donuts over the course of a day or two, but I did. I shared them though! My fiancé and I passed each one back and forth and fought over various flavors. I love that there are seasonal flavors, classics, and more. Truly some of the tastier donuts I’ve had in a while and I’m glad to see someone else in town besides Top Pot. I love both businesses but it’s nice to have varied options now and again and I feel like Top Pot is everywhere. Love the minimalist, clean interior of the space too! I know people want to scoff at the price of donuts because we all grew up remembering them being so cheap. But are we also upset about home prices, gas prices and the cost of going to the movies? We can’t be hung up on price with inflation and time — it’s just how the world works. The quality of these donuts are worth every penny. If you think of them as expensive, just buy one. It’s better for your waistline anyway. At least that’s how I look at it! ;)

Frost replaced the Tully’s in Lincoln Plaza. They have to go soups, sandwiches, salads and cupcakes and doughnuts. And coffee. It’s a nice and convenient spot to grab something quick when you’re shopping or just before a movie show. I tried the Turkey and Curried Apricot grilled sandwich. It was $ 9 plus tax but pretty large so not bad for this premium location, $ 7 would make it an every day lunch for many! The cupcakes are smallish more like a mini cupcake size and $ 4 plus tax each. They’re ok, very pretty looking but texture is just ok. They come in hard paper shells and are a bit on the dry side. The salted caramel flavor was decent but not the gooey and delicious center that I was expecting. The doughnuts looked rather dry, maybe because it was the end of the day at 5:30PM. I think I will avoid the cupcakes or doughnuts and stick to getting a pre made salad($ 8 plus tax) or sandwich(most are $ 9) from here. So 3 stars, they need to lower prices slightly or bring up their food quality or people will stop coming once the novelty wears off!

It’s been a few weeks since they opened and I’ve gone back several times to try their cupcakes, sandwiches, soups and, of course, more coffee! Oh, I’ve also had their Treveri sparkling wine — my favorite local brand. Service is still a bit slow and takes about 7 minutes for coffee regardless of if there’s a line so definitely not as quick service as Tully’s was. I was blown away by how delicious the roast beef and arugula sandwich was — cheesy crust, great sauce and lots of roast beef. The coconut chicken soup was also amazing. Seasoned very well. My favorite item so far are the macarons but I noticed they don’t serve them daily. I’ll continue to come back but will make sure to give myself extra time.

Interior is inviting with plenty of seating and(seemingly) plenty of staff. 4 – 5 associates behind the bar. Nice selection of wines, espresso, and sweets. I was a little dissappointed that this location doesn’t plate anything for guests staying in the café seating, so expect everything to be bagged/boxed. Staff weren’t necessarily friendly, but I also wouldn’t say they were rude or offensive; a few of them certainly seemed overwhelmed with the steady flow of customers though. It also seemed like they were still figuring out their POS systems, or maybe training??? Not sure. Prices are fair for the product. I ordered two«evolved» old fashioned doughnuts and a 12oz americano. Total came out around $ 7 — not bad. The white peppermint old fashioned was perfect. Not too sweet with just-enough icing/toppings. Loved the peppermint on top, and the dough was outstanding. The chai sugar old fashioned was good, but I wasn’t left as impressed. The topping was very sugary(which is fine), but the chai flavor I was hoping for was too mild. Americano met all expectations. Nice crema and flavor profile. Overall I was pleased with the sweets and coffee, but service and efficiency could use a little improvement. Wouldn’t mind coming back here.

Just had a few donuts. Old fashioned and a maple bar. Both where ok. Fresh but just ok. Seriously, I’m not seeing how these are worth the time and money.

I was told by a friend that this donut place was really good, so I came in with some high hopes. The interior was very cute, minimalistic and very café like. Visually, it looked better than Tully’s. ;) The prices for the donut was similar to Top Pot, starting from around $ 1 to around $ 2.50 as the highest. You order by pointing out what donuts you want. Don’t want donuts? They have cake, macarons, sandwiches and coffee for you. I only tried the donuts, so my review is based off of that. I tried the Vanilla covered donut with the raspberry drizzle. It was«okay». It wasn’t very sweet but it kind of tasted wet. It didn’t really taste like a donut to me. Next, I tried the white chocolate peppermint bark donut and it was«okay». It didn’t taste bad or great and it left a weird after taste in the mouth. This store just opened on Tuesday, so maybe they’re still working with the kinks, however I would rather go to Top Pot for a donut at this moment. I was a little disappointed with the taste of the donut. Check it out if you need a place to grab coffee and sit.

Went in with enthusiasm and high hopes, left disappointed. This place looks great and has some great offerings in the bakery side but the coffee disappointed. I ordered a macchiato and(long story short) despite clarifying with the cashier and barista ended up with a sugar bomb of a latte with caramel sauce. How hard is this concept of the original macchiato? Anyways I tried to drink it and couldn’t. Went to Café Cesura for relief. Just assume this place is a Starbucks when ordering and don’t expect coffee to be a priority here.
