The girls that work there are also always super nice. Great customer service & they are extremely informative when you have questions about any types of chocolates.
It’s a smaller store than what Alderwood or Southcenter is, but they make it work. If you need a good box of chocolates, or chocolate covered strawberries, this is the place to go!

They have a rewards plan and I signed up for it. I spent over a hundred dollars on chocolate for my girlfriend and the following week I came back and bought over another hundred dollars worth of chocolate. I asked the cashier if she can put it on my rewards card and she said yes. I gave her my phone number and she said ok its on it. I looked at the receipt and it didn’t show my account or the rewards. I asked the lady again if it was on it and she said yes. I then asked why it doesn’t show and she says I have to check online. I go online and it turns out somewhere along the line they screwed me over twice. The first time when I came in and made the account, the online operator says the account doesn’t exist. So not only was I lied to twice but I was also cheated out of my rewards and they wouldn’t do anything about it. I wouldn’t go back to this place just because of how they do business.

Godiva’s service certainly has stepped up! My visit during arguably the busiest week of the year for them was a pleasure yesterday. Everyone was cheerful and full of personality!
I snagged a few gifts for friends, always remembering to get something for myself… at least, when chocolate’s involved. I chose the chocolate-​covered macaroons which are actually the best thing I’ve gotten from Godiva!
That said, I still don’t think the prices warrant what you’re actually getting here — especially when it comes to their standard truffles, which I’ve never found that remarkable. But the macaroons… those were to die and didn’t even make it one minute into getting in the car with my friend!

UMMM what is up with all the negative reviews? I just got the best service of my life here. I walked in after having been in the field from 4 am until 3 pm, several afternoon dissections, and an hour long sweat sesh at Pure Barre. All I wanted was to be comforted by calories. The sweet girl behind the glass of chocolate looked at me, a hot hot mess, and right off the bat asked how my day was going. I wanted to break down and cry right then.
Then I told her of how the only thing that got me through the day was the thought of Godiva’s soft serve. I ordered the swirl soft serve (white chocolate and dark chocolate, oh yes!) on a cone dipped in dark chocolate and almonds. Before she got me my cone, she offered me the Godiva benefits card. I shop and eat at Godiva ALL the time and no one has offered me this. Yes, I knew about it but had no idea of all the amazing benefits. She explained that if I spent $ 10, I could get a free truffle per month. AND on my birthday month, $ 10 to spend on Godiva. YES, PLEASE. Considering how much $$ I spend on chocolate, why not. Then she told me about her day and working at Godiva and it was the best conversation I had today.
After she got that settled for me, she got me my cone and she really piled it up. It was huge. I literally skipped out of the store with the biggest smile on my face. I read some Unilocal reviews about the crappy service and I just want to know, are you sure it was at THIS Godiva?
Let’s talk food. The soft serve is amazing. I’m a nut for sweets, especially chocolate and soft serve. I feel blessed to have a Godiva store so close to me serving soft serve (haha). YES, it’s $ 6 but it’s the best $ 6 I’ve spent this week. The deliciously sweet blend of white chocolate and dark chocolate swirled onto a marvelously dipped cone. WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE? If you don’t want to spend $ 6, then just don’t come here? Go downstairs to McDs and get yourself a $ 1 cone.

Didn’t buy any Godiva cholocate for years after I am so hooked with another chocolatier in SF but I was so tempted by their new offering of soft serve ice cream. The pic looked so nice so delicious.
Finally I got one but the cone was just plain waffle cone not the ones shown in the pic! The ice cream is good but come on $ 6? I can have way better ice cream for this price else where.
Really miss that soft serve in Fukuoka airport of Japan… this is really the BEST!

The Truffles are excellent, the staff is friendly, and the prices are high so people shouldn’t complain about buying it since they know the price.
I give Godiva a 1 star rating because you cant buy all the truffles individually. They only have about 10% in the case. They make you buy their dessert or ice cream packages where you only get 2 of each truffle…

I just got a box of chocolate covered strawberries for a birthday tomorrow, and am feeling gored for not going online to Shari’s Berries and getting it done in time for the order to be shipped. Godiva charged me $ 42.00 for 6 berries! That is $ 7 EACH! Add to that the berries are only partially ripe, and I’ve had a painful learing experience. Why go to Godiva and get ripped off, when I can go online and have them (larger berries, fully ripe, and more thouroughly chocolate coated) delivered to my door? Never again.

The chocolate is yummy but the customer service is horrendous. Who trains this people. Went in with my friend and two kids and wanted to get my free chocolate piece for the month. I bought a few extra ones and my friend did not. The manager and her assistant proceeded to give my friend a lecture how the child had to be over 18 and the free chocolate piece was not transferable, are you kidding me. Then they started to laugh at her when we left the store so rude. She never did get her free chocolate piece. Every time I go there it’s empty… Hmm!

we each had a dark chocolate covered strawberry. there are no prices listed next to the items in the cabinet. there must be some sort of behavioral research that has been done that made them determine that it is better NOT to display the prices of these kinds of luxury items in the cabinets.
so anyways, we wanted to treat ourselves and so there was no point is asking how much they were. we asked for them, they didn’t offer to tell us the prices, and they rung them up immediately. this is when i play a little game with myself. I try to guess how much these unmarked items are. that day, i said to myself «guess a price that is ridiculously high solely to me, but within reasonable pricing of a store that is this pretty and a name brand that is so well known.» so i guess $ 5 each. i was way wrong. they were 40% more… they were $ 7 apeice. considering i can get an entire lunch for less than $ 5 usually, these little morsels of heaven were very much priced that way.
but it’s a good place. save up your change for a few weeks (or months depending on your spending habits) and get yourself a few treats.

the chocolate is good, but not particularly special. Their prices are WAY to high and the selection is not that great.

There’s something about working in a boutique in Bellevue Square that makes SAs think they have the right to overact, be overly flirtatious, and act so self-​righteous to the point that their words and actions are just strange. I’ve had the most awkward and painful customer service experiences here.
Once, when I went to the counter to pay, the store clerk kept snapping and shouting orders to a seemingly new and in-​training employee. «Could you get her the samples?! … I need a bag — a bigger bag! … Bring the paper here! … Please box and wrap this now!» She was trying to show off her superiority in front of me, but ended up looking like a complete unprofessional bitch.
At one point, the person being shouted at jokingly put her hands on her hips and said «Why?» I think she did so to make it less embarrassing and less painful for me to watch. I smiled at her, hoping she can detect that I’m actually cheering her on. Deep inside, I was screaming, «Yeah! Don’t let that condescending, self-​righteous bitch order you around!»
Another time, an employee held a tray of samples away from her body as she faced the other direction to talk to a customer. Another customer probably saw her hold out the tray in an offering manner, so the that customer grabbed a sample from the tray as she walked by. The employee then snapped, «Excuse me, wait for me to pass out the sample to you!» It was definitely weird for the customer who took the sample, the one who the clerk was originally talking to, and everyone else in store.
When I was choosing her first monthly free sample, she was told that she can choose from all the offerings in the display counter. One of the variations was chocolate-​covered strawberries. She told someone she wanted them then asked, «they’re okay for the free samples, right?» Then, instead of simply saying no, the person snorted at my friend, gave her a condescending look, and said «No!» with an intonation that meant more like, «Are you stupid? Why are you asking such an obvious question?»
I’m really not sure how upper management trains their employees here, but there definitely needs to be some changes. I absolutely love Godiva, so I would hate to have to endure poor customer service every time I come in to get my Godiva fix.

Classy chocolate always surprises my by the prices that people are prepared to pay though that makes it the perfect gift for friends — yummy, classy packaging and expensive enough for them to know that you care!
Godiva is a solid choice for gifts, especially for American friends who may be a little bored of local brands like See’s Candies
I do enjoy munching on my free sample while I make my selection though one is enough for me — I have more of savoury than sweet tooth!

Reading all the reviews of this store, I see some folks had really horrid customer service. My experience has been pretty darn good: most of the time, the gals behind the counter have been very friendly and helpful. I’ve had a few who were aloof. None were rude or dismissive, thought. Most of the time, they’ve been nice to me.
The products here are wonderful, and yes, they do often provide samples. And the loyalty program is great. I go in often just for my free monthly chocolate. Never have I been treated rudely for doing so. Sometimes I buy another chocolate or two; sometimes I don’t .
The packaging here is pretty darn gorgeous, so these chocolates make amazing gifts. And they often have sales (usually after major holidays) where the prices are very reasonable. All in all, my family really likes this store.

Godiva is the best! I’d never had their chocolate until I became a member of their Rewards club. It’s free to join and you get a free truffle every month, email news and discounts on chocolates, and during your birthday month they totally spoil you! You get $ 10 worth of free chocolate, wowsers! Through this sampling process I have found so many truffles I like. But I’m soo sooo sad that they discontinued my favorite, the marzipan hearts. I highly recommend Godiva to all my friends, they’ve got great chocolates, great staff (I’ve been to Bell Square, Alderwood, and Downtown Seattle locations), their little shops are cute and full of character. Oh and sometimes they give out samples!

The customer service here is awful. I’d rather head to Target to purchase your chocolate bars then go to this store. Middle-​aged women reminding me of gossiping middle schools girls — no, thank you.

Godiva, while I love your free loyalty program, your large tasty chocolate bars, and your strawberry banana skewers, your employees make me want to discontinue coming here. The last time I was there (which was only a few days ago) I entered the store to get my free loyalty piece and also possibly buy one of their strawberry banana skewers (but I was fighting with myself whether the calories were worth it or not…). There was a line, but I figured I could decide whether I wanted to purchase the skewer while waiting. The employee (dark brown hair pulled back with a nose piercing) was tolerant of the two women in front of me, not friendly… just tolerant. However, when she got to me she immediately said in a snarky tone, «What do you want??» I replied that I wished to get my free loyalty piece and proceeded to hand her my card. She replied while looking annoyed, «You can’t get the free chocolate unless you’re over 18.» To which I replied, «I’m 20, so why does that matter? If I wasn’t 20, do you really think I’d have a loyalty card? You can’t sign up for it unless you’re over 18.» She just responded with, «Oh,» and grabbed my card from me while proceeded to tell me I’d just have to wait to get my free piece. Normally they completely help each customer before moving on to the next customer, but my friend was behind me along with an older man so I didn’t mind waiting. However, when my friend asked to sign up for the loyalty program the employee told her that «You’ll just have to wait,» and proceeded to help the older man. She continued to treat me like dirt for the rest of our encounter leading me to not purchase the skewer, my friend not purchasing anything, and her also deciding against signing up for the loyalty program.
If I looked like I was under 18, I could understand them asking NICELY if I was over 18. But I’m 20, I look 20, and the employee was completely rude. Godiva, if you want to keep your business I think you really need to hire employees who are focused on customer service (especially at Bellevue Square).

Nothing against the chocolates… they are yummmm! But common… you do not buy chocolates every time you walk in for the monthly free sample! The girl in the store is really annoying and is pretty good at driving away customers who walk in. When I told her that I came into the mall for shopping and just stopped by to get my free chocoalte… she immediately stopped smiling at me and just got impatient and disgusting. With sales people like those… I would never buy stuff even if I wanted to! Godiva… are you listening? Stop the monthly free chocolate or train the staff to stop thinking that the payment for the free samples is being taken from their salary.

It’s always an enjoyable experience going to this Godiva. It’s sometimes crowded but they make up for it by giving free samples to eat while you’re waiting. The employees are very friendly and the chocolate is great! Every piece I’ve ever had has been amazing!

I love free samples. So much. I mean, who doesn’t?
I came here with Heaven L. after watching Despicable Me (super cute movie). I always like going into chocolate shops, and looking at all the different types of truffles available. Godiva is a very upscale, classy chocolate place. The truffles are kept in glass cases, and displayed elegantly. They not only sell truffles, but also biscuits, coffee, chocolate covered areas, chocolate bars, and other chocolate goodies.
That day, free samples of key lime truffles were being handed out. I love key lime, it’s one of my favorite flavors! The outer chocolate shell was made of dark chocolate, not my favorite, but a nice compliment to the sweet and tart filling.
When I come back (totally will), I want to try their mint chocolate chip ice cream truffles, mint medallions, strawberry cheesecake dessert chocolat, almond praline raindrop, open oyster, macadamia mosiac, milk caramel embracce, roasted almond truffle, cappucino truffle, hazlenut praline truffle, strawberry truffle, pistachio truffle, and mango truffle. That’s a lot of chocolate to consume! Oh, and I can’t forget the chocolate covered strawberries, they looks simply divine.
