Horrible manner! I ordered two dishes before, food was not great. Later, I asked for a napkin and they asked«did you ordering here?».

Food court restaurant. Serving a big menu of Japanese food including sushi, udon and rice dishes. My favorite thing that I’m dying for to eat here once a week is Katsu-Pork-Curry. I love, love this dish so much and the fact that they make this plate right is hard to find. Crispy deep-fried tender pork topped with mild-spicy Japanese potato curry. For $ 8!!! I hope this place stay around for a long time so if I’m craving for Katsu-Pork-Curry, I can make a trip here to eat my fav. You have to serve yourself for water, but I mean it’s a food court! If the staffs are free, they will serve the food to your table :)

I pretty much always come here if I have to come into work early since it’s up the street from my jobsite. Philly roll is one of my favorites, and they have Inari! Always satisfies my plain-Jane sushi cravings.

WARNINGDONOTEATHERE! I was sick for 4 days with my sweetie who ate food at Ai Sushi. We were both puking and throwing up after eating here! I think we had food poisoning but were too sick to go see a doctor. This was back in the summer of 2014! The other problem with this place was service. They were unfriendly, mean and when they went to bring the food to our table, the young boy complained to me that it was hard trying to find our table even tho we were sitting right infront of the place out in the open. The food looked good to eat but never again will i ever eat here. If i could, 0 stars would be given! I am completely disgusted with this place. Every time i walk past it, i just glare at them.

I think it is likely I was«served» by the same young man Ginny K wrote about in her review 8 days ago on 11−30−14. He was quite rude and he violated the Washington state food handling rules by touching my ready to eat sushi with his bare hands. I ordered a California rolls and he went to a side area where there some that were pre-prepared. I then watched him pick up my sushi with his palms down. The sushi chef had on plastic gloves, this kid did not. When I pointed out to him that the chef had gloves on and so should he, he got visibly angry and said«I cleaned my hands.». He had just left the cash register. I did not see him do anything except touch a dirty wet washcloth on the counter. While it’s possible there was a hand washing station back there, it did not appear he washed his hands. I asked for new sushi to be obtained with gloves. He got angrier, but did go get them. The chef offered to make me a fresh order, so I lost sight of the kid and he came back and put the plate on the tray. I asked for his first name and he ignored me. I courteously asked one more time, and he gave me a name which I won’t post here, but will write to the mgr about. He is prob late teens, early 20s, dark hair, glasses, tall, and no customer service skills. Watch your food if he is getting it. Ask him to at least use tongs. I ended up not eating the sushi. I didn’t trust that he didn’t spit on it. I never write reviews here, and am a business owner who understands things happen. But this was an egregious case. I hope the owner retrains this person.

The young man working here shows he does not want to be working here. The food takes forever. Not going to go into the sanitary customs here, not to mention over priced.

Definitely a step above supermarket sushi but far from the best sushi in the world. Generous portions for the price make it a place I’d repeat for lunch on the quick, but not of a quality that i would drive out if my way to come here.

STICKWITHSUSHIME Just ate and left there 5 minutes ago and had their 12piece sashimi plate & Seattle roll. Seattle roll, good and well priced. Sashimi platter has frozen Ahi & salmon with an all the way cooked through piece of something that tasted/looked like white tuna. I do sashimi for the raw fish. I’ll never buy their sashimi plate again.

Came here after rock climbing across the street(Stone Gardens) last weekend. I gave this place a chance because it is the most attractive out of all the food choices in this strip mall(doesn’t mean much tho). I ordered the curry pork katsu(~$ 8.00). The curry sauce is not bad, but the pork katsu cutlet is very thin… not much meat… mostly batter. Also the dish was served with potatoes only… no onions or carrots. Don’t think I will come back even tho it was kinda cheap.

Simply put: $ 7 for a scoop of rice, eight slivers of chicken and a Capri Sun?! Have y’all lost your mind? I get you’re in Redmond, and that the spendage here is pretty exorbitant, but this place would make Bill Gates do a double-take. To add a neck chop to the crotch kick of pricing, it took much too long to serve this sad excuse for teriyaki. Now I know, now y’all know, if you hate money and eat like a mouse, this is the place for you.

I used to eat here almost every day I work,(5 days a week), because I just loved their customer service. And because of that, Ai Sushi is my number one pick whenever I eat inside the mall, whether I was not working that day, dressing«casual», you know a nice warm hoodie to keep you cozy. There was always this nice lady who would smile and greet, like typical customer service, so I spent quite a bit on their tips. I loved their chicken teriyaki since the meat was soft and tender, rice neatly packed into a nice little half dome, and a giant leaf to layer over everything. They gave a LOT of chicken and the waitress would bring the meal to me when I order«for here» since I wouldn’t sit too far away. I would’ve given it a 4.5 star if I had started Unilocaling then. Eventually, there were other places to try, so the visits became less frequent. Finally came back and OMGWHATHAPPENED?! Here I am again with a day off, wearing my casual hoodie, and ordered my usual chicken teriyaki. Was greeted by this gentle colored mustache«girl» with a pony tail that looks as if she’s in middle school.(Apparently in her 20s.) I ordered and she was just rude, just tells me amount in an annoyed voice like saying why do I have to buy their food of all places in the mall. The chief of the day came beside her to see what I had ordered, I’m guessing so he can start cooking. She starts speaking in her native lanuage, mentioned my order along with some rude comments, while the chief snickered along with her. If she’s so scared for the customer to know what she’s saying shouldn’t she either not have any English in their conversation at all or wait until the customer leave? It’s pretty annoying when the customer knows what they’re saying. The chief then asked oh aren’t you going to give her a number(since it was«for here») and she replies right away«no, she’ll come get it herself». I was ready to just ask for my money back and leave, but it’d be too much work to do returns and everything, and I had better service here before. Regret of the day, the return would have been worth it. Waited for half an hour, for a usually ten minute cooking time, my food never came. I was just waiting and eventually I had to go up to them to ask for my food. I didn’t order to go, jeez. The meal was twice as less as well. The meat was very dry, sauce was more gooey than usual(signs of refrigeration), my rice was a half dome and it looked like someone punch the middle of it so it is in the shape of an angel food cake. My «giant» leaf that used to dominate the upper layer of the plate is now a baby leaf(~5cm long) shriveled in the corner of my plate. Thank you and **** you, New Ai Sushi. No tips for you ever again. Did I mention even their utensils got cheaper? Oh my god, no way! YES! They did!

The food is decent but way too EXPENSIVE. The worst thing about this place is the service. Once we ordered«Chicken Katsu Curry» and the waitress misheard us and gave us «Chicken Katsu» instead. We told her about her mistake and she didn’t do anything. In fact, she was quite rude and told us to buy another one or just leave. The time it takes for the food to be done is also really slow. This 20 — 30 min for mediocre quality food isn’t worth the wait in my opinion.

I agree that this may not be the GREATest sushi but the dishes I’ve had are significantly better than similar fare at similarly-priced sushi restaurants. I almost always get the Spicy Beef Roll and Tekka Maki(tuna roll) because they always hit the spot. As another reviewer said: «luscious.» =) The goodness significantly detracts from my ability to carry on a conversation during the meal. The chunks of tuna are big and juicy, the tempura batter is light and crispy, and the sauce is yum! The Bento boxes are very pretty but I haven’t tried them yet. Nothing has ever been wrong with my order. I used to go to Blue C when I worked near one, and I kind of miss the conveyor belt selection, but Ai Sushi is so fresh and jeans-friendly that I never go away unsatisfied. Plus, at those conveyor-belt places I often eat(and spend) more than I planned to. =} Even if Ai Sushi weren’t right by the library, I would probly go monthly, but right now it’s just so convenient to be able to pop into the library while I wait for my order. Crossroads is awesome!

This is the worst chicken teriyaki I’ve ever had. Where do I start? First, it took forever to get the order out even though I was the only customer there. It took 15 – 20 minutes to get a take-out order of teriyaki! Second, the food looked extremely unappetizing as soon as I opened the box. The lettuce in the salad was obviously old, since it was already starting to become red and show signs of going bad. The salad dressing was not good, either. I took two bites and threw it away. The chicken was a very small portion and that section of the takeout box was all covered in black specs from the burnt chicken. Like I said before, it looked EXTREMELY unappetizing. Third, the chicken was very dry and had a burnt flavor. The sauce also had way too much soy sauce in it and was overpowering. It was a very liquidy sauce, and not the slightly more syrupy-consistency ones that I’m used to. Fourth, the two pieces of sushi that came with my order weren’t very good. Honestly though, with all the other things that went wrong with my bento box, this was probably the small glimmer of light. However, half of the teriyaki sauce from the chicken had spilled over into the sushi, so the true flavor of the sushi was masked. I used to think that almost all teriyaki places tasted the same. I was proven wrong today! I only took a few bites and ended up finding something else to eat for dinner. It was that bad.

I eat here all the time, at least once a week. Way better than most«mall sushi.» Not quite high-end, either, but that’s not what I expect. Staff is friendly(Hi Julie) and Crossroads is a fun place to eat. If anything happens to be wrong with my order, they’ve always fixed it right away. And the price is reasonable. The rainbow roll is as luscious as you’ll find anywhere!

I always go to the Mexican place at the Crossroads mall so I thought I should switch things up and try Ai Sushi. I ordered the tempura bento box and it was ready in the time it took me to walk to QFC to buy Diet Coke. The gal working at the counter was very friendly and sweet-great customer service! I was surprised at the amount of tempura included. It was delicious and I couldn’t even eat it all! I was given two pieces of California rolls that were falling apart and didn’t taste too fresh, but I didn’t expect too much? The pickles were yummy, I just wish there were more. The scoop of rice was plentiful and I am saving it for a snack later. Overall, I was pleased with my meal. It wasn’t the best, most fresh but I give them stars for friendly and quick service and low prices. Plus, it is easy to run in and grab since it is near the back entrance in the mall. I will try them again!

Hmm. Could have swore that I wrote a review about Ai Sushi and somehow it has disappeared. Nevertheless, writing one now. Ai Sushi is a food court restaurant at Crossroads Mall serving Japanese entrees, noodles and sushi. Prices here are decent and the wait is relatively short. Alas because of the food court setup. Have had noodles here that were just okay, while the Japanese entrée are decent sized. Tried their teriyaki halibut special that was about $ 8. It was setup like a bento box with a potato salad and other small side dishes. The sushi that came with it was okay, while the teriyaki halibut itself seemed a bit overly sweet but filling. Ai Sushi is not particularly great, but good in terms of value and leaving you feeling full. Considering it is a food court joint, Ai would be considered to be better than expected.

I get sushi quite often. My wife and I go to Sushi Me at least twice a week. I didn’t think I could find a better deal than Sushi Me. I like the rolls here better for one HUGE reason and one smaller reason. AI(Allen Iverson?) Sushi uses TOASTED sesame seeds which send your taste buds into orbit. You need to eat slow and savor each seed’s flavor. The other thing is the fish is cold, not room temp like conveyor belt places. I like the cooler sensation than the room temp fish. I had the nigiri once and it was below average, but the rolls are simply great. I want to try the other dishes based on other Unilocalers, udon, don dishes, etc.

I eat at the Crossroads food court way more than I should. Anyway, the Japanese restaurant in this spot has changed ownership several times since I’ve been in the area. I think my favorite incarnation was when the same two women were always working around lunch time, and they knew what I wanted each time: katsu don. But after they left, the quality of the pork was pretty variable, so I’m hesitant to order that and instead go for yakitori don if I’m in the mood for a rice bowl. Bentos look pretty good, too. It would be 3.5 stars just for that food, but it gets pushed up to 4 for the rolls! Sushi has become so trendy that I’m getting used to shelling out $ 7 and getting four dinky little pieces that they dare to call a roll. Not here, though. $ 12 gets me two rolls that are an actual meal, not just a snack, and they’re tasty, too.(Picture to follow) I’m a little wary of the nigiri, mainly because I never see anyone eating it, and it’s hard to keep it good, fresh, and well-priced when there’s not much demand. EDIT: Tasty dragon roll for $ 6.50? A sushi combo with a spicy tuna roll and a California hand roll for $ 6? I’m still loving the deals here.
