This place is great! The staff was so nice and let me try everything. The tropical ice was so good, but holy moly the custard is awesome!!!

Love this place. The Blendini is my favorite of their offerings, especially with hot fudge or caramel as the mix-in. I’ll have to keep coming back in order to report back on my absolute favorite combination of ice and custard, but brownie batter ice + chocolate custard I got on my last trip = so good! The young guy working when my indecisive self and three friends walked in was patient and not annoyed at all by our slowness in finalizing our orders or questions about Unilocal check-in deals. Great service, delicious product!

Kids got italian ice: dr pepper and sour patch; oreos and sour patch. I am not an italian ice but they do have different kinds such as bellini which is custard blend with italian ice and milkshake mist. It is refreshing and better than syrupy snow cones. Unilocal checkin has free gelato upgrade but did use

Just tried Rita’s new flavor: Dr. Pepper! Smooth, creamy flavor from the first taste to the last bite. Pure summer refreshment!

My friends and I drove 20 minutes JUST to experience Rita’s for the first time and was very well disappointed. Now I usually like my shaved ice thin, meaning not large and chunky but small enough for it to melt in my mouth without any effort. However, Rita’s ice was more of like Rita’s ice water. It was too thin that everything melted within 5 minutes of my order. Aside from that, the flavor was just too sweet I felt like I was drinking cold syrup water not this so-called Italian Ice of Rita’s. I went home and told another friend who is from the Euless/Bedford area about my experience here, and he too completely understands and agrees with my opinion. Run away from this place and run to Bahama Buck’s if you can find a location! I am still disappointed that I even made the trip here whenever I think about it.

The weather in north Texas has been pretty crazy these past few weeks, but that isn’t much of a surprise. This week has warmed up much more, which made some ice cream or shaved ice sound really good. I’ve been hearing about Rita’s for a while and how fantastic it is so I wanted to go for a taste. When I checked their website earlier this week, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were offering a free cup of Italian ice on Friday because it was the first day of spring! Something that they’ve been offering each year. Note that this only includes free flavored ice, not the custard you see many people add on top. So I set out yesterday to Rita’s for a free cup with my bf and a couple of friends to try for the first time. The line reached the door, but moved along quite efficiently. There’s a piano on the side when you walk right through the door that you can sit down and play if you please. I tried both the mango and peach, topped with vanilla custard. The mango tasted artificial to me and the peach tasted more true to its real flavor. The ice was fine, but I believe I’d rather prefer the ice of Bahama Bucks which I find to be more fine and smooth. The custard itself was very good. It isn’t as dense as other places where I have tried frozen custard. Even though it’s lighter, it is still creamy and smooth. After reading and hearing about Rita’s, I believe I set the bar too high walking in. The ice was just OK to me, nothing amazing. If I were to return again, I would pass on the ice and just go for the custard.

Custard is better than ice cream. There. I said it. Then you go and mix that with a snow cone. In essence. ANDBAM… you have italian ice. Man. I could have just ate the ice cream alone and been happy, but the combo of both is just stupid delicious. Your crazy if you live in the area and haven’t tried it. Go. I don’t care that it’s cold. Just go!

Pretty good options and combinations for treats. I recommend a blendini with vanilla, mango ice, and strawberries. They have seasonal options too. Serving are a little small though for the price. Good location right off the freeway 183.

Rita’s recently catered our corporate event. The recommendations and flavors and experience was amazing. If your having an event, Rita’s Italian«water» Ice is a must. Everyone enjoyed the following flavors: Mango, Chocolate, Strawberry Margarita, Blue-Raspberry(well all of them are good.) Go see Dave and his team as you will enjoy the fat free treat! By the way, Katie did our catering and she was awesome. From the presentation to the scooping and greeting everyone. Super nice girl Go try one today…

Ritas was my first time trying italian ice and it was delicious! They let you sample any sample you like and help you choose what to get for first timers. I would highly recommend it for people who like snowcones and frozen custard :3

Not quite sure what the hype is about. I’ve had Italian Ice before and it was fabulous so I had some pretty high expectations going here. This stuff was the saddest imitation of Italian ice I’ve ever had. None of the flavors really tasted the flavor it was supposed to be and I tasted all of them including the mango which is supposed to be their number 1 flavor(and I love just about anything mango). It’s basically just finely crushed ice with a hint of imitation flavor. I’ve had sno cones that tasted better. The custard is decent but not worth the trip. Do yourself a favor and save both your money and gas and go to either Paciugo or Sonic. Won’t be back.

RITA“S is the BOMB! I lived in Philly area for 4 yrs and they’re walking distance from nowhere, nearly every corner has a Rita’s Water Ice. Was so happy when they left the state and built one right here near my hometown. The flavors are unbelievably close to whatever they name it. candy, popcorn, pb&j, I’ll sample those but usually stick to tried & true — a Mango Gelati, aka, Mango Ice layered with vanilla custard. They also have sugar free ice, custards, traditional sundaes, Misto(mix of ice and custard) with added candy bits of choice. etc. Make sure to download the app to save up for a free ice, bc trust me. Once you go, you’ll go back. Especially on a hot summer day — Rita’s is perfect! If unfamiliar with superfine ice rich in flavor, give them a try. You can also sample flavors before you mix up your treat(some flavors are pretty sweet). AND! Keep an eye out for their first day of spring free small ice to celebrate(lines were days long in Philly but not so bad here). Finally, you can get a tub(s) to go for special events!

Today was my first time going here. It was really delicious! I got sour patch red mixed with cotton candy. Not really mixed, because the ice takes a long time to melt. It has a really interesting soft consistency. I have no idea how they get it to be like this, but it’s called«cream ice?» Anyway, it’s like a snow cone but way softer. Hard to explain, I guess you just have to try it! Great service, lots of flavors that change daily, you can sample everything. Highly recommend, especially during this hot Texas summer!

Rita’s Italian Ice is made fresh daily with chunks of fruit in appropriate flavors. IE: Lemon, Pineapple, and etc. I like the fact that this location is open all seasons of the year and until 9 – 10 pm at night. I used to live in NJ and the Rita’s stands there are seasonal and only open during the summer. It’s awesome that this TX location will be here all year around! The workers here are young, happy, polite, and informative. I was told that If I call ahead and request a flavor they can make it happen. I usually get the«Gelati», which is a combination of custard and Italian ice in one cup. So basically you get double the fun! The bottom layer is filled with a custard of your choice: vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. Then, the middle layer can be filled with 2 flavors of Italian Ice of your choice, and finally topped with more custard! The ice is not overly sweet and they have a variety of fruit or cream flavors. As for the custard, it’s alittle bit more thick and rich to eat alone, but perfect with the ice combination. This is my culprit of driving all the way from Dallas to Bedford for just dessert! Yes! It’s that good!
