My wife and Me went to Izzys Beaverton Oregon location on sunday for their so called brunch. We both ordered steak, and my wifes wasn’t delivered to our table till halfway through the meal. And her steak wasnt cooked properly as she ordered. I had to tell the waitress three times that I never received my steak at all, finally I told her I would do her a favor and just forget about my plan to order steak here. The pizza, once again, wasnt replaced till every single slice was used up off the buffet line, in the older days of Izzys, there would have been plenty of pizza out at all times. Even the deserts for the kids or adults has gone way down hill. This Beaverton location is going to lose all their business if they keep operating in this horrible manner. And as all the honest reviews are stating, the staff was not friendly at all, all the way down to the waitressess who give you dirty looks everytime you ask for anything. Coporate better take a hard look at this poor location, its just terrible, even the chicken isnt replaced out with fresh chicken often enough. I see a ton of people standing at the buffet line waiting forever for new food to be brought out. Definately not worth the price of what they are charging here at this location!!!

Short of customer service and some foods just weren’t that good. The ladies there need to remember that some white people know Spanish… Some things they were saying were not appropriate. I don’t get very angry at racism because I’m actually pretty understanding about cultural differences and how people effect each other negatively, but racism is ignorant and no race can be generalized because there are always those who are different, and it’s plain offensive and made me feel unwelcome. The food was ok. The cook made a fantastic waffle. It was fluffy and tasted excellent. The pizza was good. The eggs were just terrible. I don’t know how they got it to be that texture, but it is not the texture an egg is supposed to be. And they did not taste good. I had some green beans that were amazing. The dessert bar and salad bar are very decent. Quite a bit of variety on those. All that ice cream, brownies, cookies, pudding, and more… And all my son wanted was two little tiny brownies. This place has the coolest layout and space, but it seems so boring honestly. They could really spice this place up with live music, or art, and/or some arcade games. That would just make this place really off the chain. It has plenty of parking around and everything, it could be packed and have people dining and enjoying themselves. Anyways I found it good but not all it could be, needs to be livened up.

Two years ago, I would have given this location 4 stars. More and more, this seems like a restaurant in financial trouble. Pizza bar restock is becoming more slow; the last three times the grill cook has taken an excessive amount of time to cook food and cook it without regard to the order(well done = medium rare?); the ice cream machine seems to have chronic operational issues; staffing seems to get leaner and leaner; and now the desert bar is being hit hard.

I don’t expect a lot from inexpensive chain buffets, but this one really is horrid. I went for lunch and the only thing that looked slightly appealing was the pizza, and even that didn’t look good. The«Mac and cheese» looked DISGUSTING — penne pasta with watery/oily orange-ish red-ish stuff they were trying to pass off as cheese. I had my two slices of tiny pizza and left(still hungry). I’ve been to other Izzy’s and the food has been great. I will never come back to this one and I recommend others not to waste your money.

Very little selection could be the slower part of the week but 3 pizzas to choose from at the bar along with choices of only a couple thighs and legs for chicken to pick from and the soup not great. Sorry to say I grew up loving izzys but lately especially this trip has changed my mind. Really going down hill!

This location is terrible! During peak lunch hours they only put out 2 or 3 pizzas on the buffet table. I ways have to ask for. Pepperoni to be made for my young sons and thi takes them at least 15minutes. During dinner the guy at the grill gives you a rude pissed off attitude when you put your order in. It’s like he’s pissed that we are actually making work(grill a simple steak) for his pay. You can definitely tell this location is a corporate store, we’ve eaten at the Hillsboro location(which is franchised)-‘and the service, food quality and even atmosphere is completely different! We would rather drive from Beaverton to eat at the Hillsboro location ! Corporate needs to step up and do some major house cleaning.

Love the pizza but the service is horrible. I’ve ordered to go pizza 4 times over the last 6 months. 3 of these times the pizza had clearly not been started when I arrived to pick it up– despite an empty oven. This time I had enough time to download the Unilocal app and write this review. I would have stopped coming if I didn’t love their pizza so much…

Sweet Tomatoes was the original plan for a friends birthday, and he changed his mind to Izzy’s. I sighed, but salad is salad. Or not. It had been years since I went to Izzys, and I didn’t remember hating their pizza. Now, it doesn’t even seem like pizza, its just seems like topped bread. I did try a bite of steak and fried fish that was decent(but the fish tasted like steak!). No one was particularly pleased with anything other than salad, and a couple desserts but I was too full to try those.(Not too full to have 2 Graprefruit cocktails when I got home though! Healthier right?) So I guess it depends. For $ 12.59 If you can eat 4 plates of food, or a couple pieces of steak, you’re getting a huge deal. My one salad and 2 pieces of pizza was $ 8.99, so I guess that’s about what I’d pay for a salad at most places. And you really can’t mess up a salad bar. I just prefer to go somewhere with good food and have some leftovers for a comparable price. But again, if you have a crowd of kids and big eaters, it is a lot of bang for your buck. The service was really, really good, I’ll give them that. He had 12 kids running around, and TONS of tables and was still very helpful and cheerful.

We went here for dinner today(Sunday) around 6 pm. There was little to no food on the hot bar or the pizza bar. It took 20 mins for them to get anything stocked. The floor was sticky when you walked your shoe tried to stick to it. I tried the soda(Sierra Mist) and it was carbonated water only. I mentioned it to them and they never fixed it while we were there. The steak from the grill(I did not have, my husband did) was tough with no flavor. My son ordered his and received the wrong toppings on it. Mushrooms. Allergic to mushrooms so that did not go over well. It might be priced decently, but it is not somewhere we will go back. The wait staff was nice, that is about the only thing nice I can about the place.

We were visiting from out of state for some. Holiday shopping and a much need mini vacation for mu husband and I, after a very rough long year. After a day filled with shopping and the drive to Beaverton we ended up at Izzys Pizza. We hadn’t been to a Izzys in many years so we were looking forward to it. The manager who also served on the floor was very gracious and kind but the food and cleanliness was a bit alarming. The guy cooking the steaks was not friendly in the least and the steak we had just weren’t right, I knew it instantly, I kept trying to see if it was just me being sensitive or was a I really smelling the taste of meat about to turn. It was sour smelling Like meat that was on the veer or already bad but being disguised. My hub often tells me I’m too picky. I worked in rests for years and I expect certain things like eating palatble and fresh enough to pass a food inspection. So I smothered it in sauce idk to make a point to my husband. and between that and the Pizza that was non existent as it was gone too fast or the sale that looked as it had been sitting there for the entire day and then some. there was no fried chicken fresh and no one wanted those last two pieces that sucked. We quickly got out of there I wasn’t feeling good. We made a trip to Bridgeport Village and by the time we got back to the Marriott I was starting to experience sudden onset signs signs of food poisoning. We had our last evening planned to enjoy our time together and the holiday season and instead we were running around looking for Imodium PLUS and anything at all that may perform a miracle. I’ve been nauseous and«more» for the more than 24 hrs now.hours. We ended up ending our weekend away and taking me home which was an excruciating drive with my stomach in full force and the fatigue and nausea on top of it. The OTC meds didn’t help. And here it is over 24 hrs later and I’m still sick. A simple trip to what we thought was the izzys if days gone by literally left me spending too much money with having to return home and buy meds and more to get me by! I intend to file a complaint once I figure out where in Oregon one does so, So here I am just days before Christmas shopping not finished lovely weekend Ruined. And I pray tomorrow will be better as tonight I feel like death warned over. Very disappointed Jamie

The manager seated us and was very friendly and gave us an introduction to how everything worked. The food is buffet style, at a decent price. The food was very good although it didn’t have much variety for lunch. The buffet bar was clean and stocked. Our waitress didn’t talk to us besides to drop off the check. Overall it was a good experience with good food. We will be back to try the dinner buffet.

One of the best Izzy’s we have been to. The food was fantastic! Service is outstanding! Restaurant is clean! I would recommend to everyone! I personally love their sliced potatoes! That is my favorite. Good pizza variety. :-)

Terriblebly bland, old sitting food! If there’s a food type to destroy, Izzy’s will find a way to ruin it! Grill foods are stringy and very low quality. Winco sells better meat!

I’ve gone here for years with family. Pretty clean and has a nice variety of food from fried chicken, pizza bar, salad bar, desert bar plus they have different specials that’s grilled right there to order such as; steak, battered fish, salmon etc. Good price for good food.

1 star because their lunch buffet is only 6.99 and dinner 8.99. Where they get you however is charging 1.99 for a drink which is now a ‘serve yourself’ area… which actually makes it kind of nice. 1 star because the only reason I come here is to eat their pizza. I’m not sure why I am fond of their pizza, but I do believe it’s the chewy/doughy/buttery crust that reals me in. Other than that, their buffet is seriously lacking. No wonder it’s so cheap. My family and I used to frequent Izzys as a kid and we loved it. However, quality has certainly gone downhill over the years. Salad bar — lettuce did not seem super fresh, they had ‘fake’ eggs, so-so topping choices. Overall it’s just kinda MEH. I remember the one in Gresham being a lot bigger and better with tons of fruit and veggies. Hot items — Eww. Jo-jos were soggy, bbq chicken looked demolished and it was dry, green beans were never replenished, pasta looked old and dry, garlic mashers and baked beans were alright. Pizza — about the only item I can say I enjoyed. Overall I would not recommend coming here but it’s OK if you are looking for a quick cheap bite I suppose.

ehhh, after eating here I probably won’t do buffets unless it’s a fine dining place. There was plenty of food to select from but the quality was awful. The grill was ok. Last note — The pizza was so fatty and oily! wow!

Izzy’s was a good place to eat when I was a kid — their cinnamon roles were a highlight of my trips there. I was super excited to visit again; it’s been years. I don’t know if they’ve all changed, but it definitely wasn’t the Izzy’s of my childhood. I’ll start with what I like: $ 5.99 for a lunch buffet is a pretty darn good deal, if you’re on a mission for quantity over quality. It gets on my lunchtime rotation from time to time. Their salad bar is decent. Their pizza ranges from meh to good. They do usually have a variety of pizza options, and some are better than others. I usually pass on the rest of the hot food bar items, sticking with pizza, salad and dessert. What I don’t like: there is no service, it’s serve yourself. Even for beverages. It feel so cheap and impersonal. I think $ 1.99 for the self-service soda is way overpriced. Especially for the size of the cup. The food is just average, nothing special. And those legendary cinnamon rolls? They changed their recipe a few years back and they’re nothing like they used to be — I asked. Dare I say it, they’re not even good. Major bummer.

I will say I fear salad bars because usually the food is nasty or has been sitting out for far too long. I was drug here with a group of friends though and wow, I was actually happy we came. They had a great variety of food that was very fresh and tasted great. I cannot imagine coming here on my own just because buffets are a waste on me since I just do not eat that much but their food is quite tasty.

I like Izzy’s, I would give it 3.5 stars but since I cannot, I will round down for now. This is not a place to go for atmosphere, it’s a place with some decent hearty food. Let’s start with the not so good and work our way up. They don’t offer anymore the $ 5 one one plate once around. Many times I actually don’t want to gorge myself, and considering I eat a lot of small meals throughout the day, I really don’t get my money’s worth doing my usual one trip at the usual rate. Thus it may force me to do more than 1 trip and my stomach does not like that, there is only so much room up in there! The other thing I do not like is that they do not offer pancakes, yet offer waffles. Anyone who knows anything knows that pancakes are FAR superior to waffles. Shute, I’d take a plain decent pancake with nothing on it before I take a waffle with all the trimmings, and this is coming from someone who LOVES real whip cream and strawberries. The L.O. location turned to a Shari’s years ago, and I do not like venturing into Beaverton, it’s not a good feeling, I avoid it as much as possible. Lastly, I also don’t like that Sundays are dinner prices when I don’t even take advantage of the extra brunch items. Time for the good! I went to Old Town Buffet once and every freaking thing tastes the same! I can’t tell the difference between the meatballs and the potatoes, that’s insane! It was like the twilight zone! At least here I can close my eyes and know what I am eating. Service is good, nice peeps, I’d rather tip them extra and tip a snobby waiter at a fancy restaurant less for giving me tude’! The salad bar is pretty standard, could have a few more unique items but it’s fresh. The various chickens dishes are soft, juicy and tender. YUM. Some things don’t have a lot of flavor like the mashed potatoes, perhaps it was powder mixed with water lol. The pizza is amazing though, both the thick crust cheese and thin crust pesto and artichoke. The local pizza places can learn a thing or two! Shute, they specialize in pizza, Izzy’s should not be better. The deserts are pretty standard(pudding, mousse, brownies, bread pudding, average cookies) all stuff I like, but nothing really tasty though. They also offer fresh fruits, can’t go wrong with the pineapple, melon and watermelon when their in season. Oh, and they do change it up by adding new items to the grill which is cool. The price is decent if you go during the daytime Monday through Saturday, plus you can use a $ 2 coupon and if you are a senior, extra savings! Yey, something to look forward to when aging lol.
