The salad bar is pretty decent but the hot food is pretty terrible. Environment is everything you would expect from an all you can eat buffet restaurant. Not horrible but definitely better options

Everything is fresh… sometimes the soups are bland… sometimes too salty… the pasta dishes are always extremely bland… the breads are good and they offer something for everyone… stick to the salads and the chili is usually solid as are the cream soups… avoid the pasta dishes… it’s suitable for a buffet…

I love coming here! It’s family friendly and reasonably priced. My son loves all the food options and I don’t feel guilty about enjoying my unlimited salad. The staff here is awesome too!

Sweet tomatoes is a chain restaurant with their main food as soups and salads so they have good variety of salads and soups for vegetarians /Vegans as well. They have a salad buffet structure which is open all day long. On their website they have a vegetarian club option for which if you register you get 20% off. Haven’t tried it yet. I enjoy their soups the most. The clear soups are delicious with lots of condiments to add to. I wish they add some avocado in their salad bar. Their ready to eat salads are delicious. Jacket potato is a good addition if you are looking for some carbs. They do serve focaccia breads, pizza bites and 2 – 3 variety of pastas. For desserts they have variety of muffins, fruits and softy ice cream machine. Here is my rating for this place — Overall — 4.25÷5 * Food — 4.5/5*(for the variety they offer) Ambiance — 4/5* Kids and family friendly — 4.5/5* Service — 4/5* Vegetarian/Vegan options — 4.5/5* If you are in a mood for warm soups and good salads this is the right stop. It is a value for money place for a satisfying meal. I will visit again when I am craving salads and soups and some extras.

All the employees are very friendly and professional there. The manager must be doing a good job. It’s a go-to place for my family. Super healthy salads and soups.

I really have nothing to say about this place, good food, good service, pretty clean! I don’t review chain restaurants too often, but gotta say I liked this place. Good fresh salad, good soups, and breads. Pastas were a little bland, but didn’t expect much from their pastas anyways.

No Sweet Tomato in Washington so we were excited to see this place. We had tried ST in California. This place was in line with other ST. The salad was great but the baked goods, soups, and pasta were just ok. Good place to bring the whole family to get full. Be careful if you are trying to eat healthy. You start with the salad but end up eating too much carbs with the breads and pasta.

Very clean establishment and the food display is plentifully stocked and fresh. Very friendly and courteous staff. Reasonably priced and you get your bang for your buck.

This a regular place for us. We love making salads! However, this is the first time I’ve come here and be completely grossed out. In the taco salad there was a giant 2“X1″ chunk of rehydrated«ground» meat. Kinda a glimpse into how un-fresh some of the ingredients might be.

So corporate deleted my post… the post follows. My point was that the staff needs to be alert to the people in line… corporate found this as inappropriate… Removed Content: Gross. Family loved it there. Need some staff to watch the… what’s the word… can’t say here. Observed family of four eat, lick fingers and eat some more. in the salad bar line. Mom. Dad. Kids. All did it. Dad sneezed into hand then used it to knock shredded eggs off tongs onto his salad. Most disgusting display of lack of manners I ever saw… daughter ate from her dish while filling it at icecream machine. Not with spoon. Mouth to dish then refilled right there. Apple didn’t fall far from tree. But the socially oblivious left in a Prius. Of course. Should have been kicked out while eating in line. Done with sweet tomatoes.

No matter what happens… Sweet tomatoes has a place in my heart. I love walking into a fresh salad bar. This is what I fill up on! Love the variety of veggies and dressings as well as the different pasta salads! The soups are also delicious, it’s hard to pick which ones to try! The bakery portion is okay… And the pasta I usually skip over. It’s pretty bland and not worth the extra calories lol

It can be a zoo for weekend lunch, way too kid friendly but precisely the reason why I come with the family. Mac n cheese Mac n cheese keep the toddler happy. Fresh salad and plenty of soup choices for the adult, other choices like pasta, pizza etc is edible but never satisfying. Get on their email list for the coupons if you care to save a buck or two.

This is my standard go-to when I’m craving a quick soup and salad dinner. I rarely do the ‘sit down and gorge’ style of eating here and pretty much stick with the take-out option. You can cram an enormous salad(enough for 2 meals) with lots of toppings into their to-go container and it only costs $ 6! Add a side of soup for $ 2 more. Fresh, clean, good tasting food. Have never tried the pasta though so have no idea how well they do with it.

Great buffet. Employees were friendly and gave us a coupon since it was our first visit. She explained that the menu changes each month. Food was fresh. Lots to choose from. If I were to complain about anything it would be that sometimes they fall behind on keeping plates and utensils stocked and they aren’t good about picking up plates that are not in use. I would go back and eat here again. It’s a quick meal if you are in a hurry.

Come early because even at 8 o’clock at night on a Friday night this place crowded… Even when it’s all«filled up fast» but there’s never been a wait to get a seat. I’d like to thank the academy of menu makers for the fresh twists to the sweet tomatoes eats

Ok, so it’s a buffet restaurant and they often get a bad press. However, I tend to like the choice you get and the value for money. Additionally when you have a child who barely eats it’s always good to find a place where under twos eat free. For the grand total of 24 $ we had salad bar, pasta, breads, baked potatoes and desserts. It was all fresh and all tasted good. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of space to move around despite it being busy due to it being Saturday night. As we don’t live in Portland area and there is no sweet tomatoes anywhere around here I won’t be returning unless I am in the area again. When I was in San Diego it was called«souplantation» and for one reason or another we never made it to one. Shame given that it was a San Diego based company!

I do wish they had more organic stuff but I love soup & salad bars so I’ll take it! They have about 6 soups rotating, some of which are pretty good too. They have a good sized salad bar with about everything you could want on it. I always like being able to get whatever drink I want, like ginger peach tea the first time and then maybe strawberry lemonade the second. The baked goods were decent, good muffins including a gluten free pumpkin muffin, but I’d skip the pasta bar, only because it’s overcooked as you’d expect on a buffet. Overall it’s a cleaner, better version of Fresh Choice and that I love.

I don’t care what anyone says, I love sweet tomatoes. Their salad bar is reason enough alone to go, but I’ll stay for the soup and soft served ice cream as well. Not much of a fan of the other food like their pastas, but if you know you don’t like it, don’t try it over and over again hoping it’ll get better, am I right?

I really enjoy this place. Unfortunately they are a little far away from work for this to be a regular lunch spot, but every time I go here I am satisfied. Obviously the big draw of this place is the salad bar. You walk through the line, and they start off with some pre-made salad options for if you aren’t very imaginative(they are all really good), and then you move on to the expansive make-your-own selection. The employees keep all of the fixins looking great, and they’re constantly moving in and out to refresh the little bins. After you go through the salad bar line, you get to the registers where you actually pay for your all-you-can-eat meal + drink, then you can sit down at the tables. One you eat your salad and feel good about all of the healthy choices you just made, you can go back up to check out the desserts, soups, and other meal options they have available. I mean, if you really wanted, you could just fill up on as much soft serve as you can eat /the machine can make — whoever gives up first. The beauty of this place is that there is probably going to be something that everyone can eat. Additionally, if you’re trying to eat right, the tiny plates that they give you for getting non-salad items are practically built in portion control, so you either have to go up shamefully for fourths and fifths or actually just resign yourself to eating a reasonable amount of food for your meal. Each table has a little card that you can set out to clarify if you’re actually done and the employees can clear out your booth or if you are just up grabbing more food and they should leave your spot undisturbed.
