The Best Soup and sandwich place I’ve tried in BEAVERTON. I had the Thai soup with curry and pork and the pork, Cilantro and pepper sandwich tonight. They were both Excellently prepared.

Really good soup. I got broccoli and cheddar. You can taste that if is fresh. It came with bread and that was a nice add. So bowl of soup, bread and a drink for 6 dollars. Great. Will be back.

We have eaten here twice this weekend. The first time was so good we wanted to know whether or not it was a fluke. It was great both times. My husband loved the baked potato soup which was thick and rich and flavorful. I had the sandwich special panini which was crisp with flavorful caper mayo that perfectly complimented the ham and cheese snd other toppings. The sandwich came with fruit as well. The next day I had the Rueben Panini which was the best I have had in years. Perfectly grilled with lean tender corned beef and the perfect amount of sour kraut and cheese on a delicious marble rye bread. Also a cup of spicy tomato soup that had my taste buds singing. My sweetie had a small salad which was quite generous and varied in veggies with a thick bleu cheese dressing. He also had the pastrami panini which he thoroughly enjoyed. We found the service to be quick and friendly both days. We are excited to find a new favorite!

I have no illusions that these reviews will make me a star, but I decided I would stop by on my way to the gym. I had a bowl of baked potato soup, with fruit instead of French bread because I am trying to lose a considerable amount of weight. Maybe I should not come here again, because I started studying the menu and wishing I had ordered more food. The soup was beautifully flavored with rosemary and thyme(!), and salty enough that I didn’t need anything more. The usual toppings were all real and fresh, and for the first time I wanted to take a picture and post it. My three pieces of fruit were fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is cozy, and there is Wi-Fi(I’m using it outside in my car). There is also a patio with an awning over part and a heater. It’s kind of tucked away and surrounded by plants, but don’t miss it. The owner is obviously proud of this snug harbor, and he should be. I’ll be back for more.

Okay, so I came in at opening time on a Sunday wanting something light to eat. Maybe this was an off day for the place because when I got my thai lentil soup it was cold. I took it back and they reheated it in the microwave, that’s what I would have done at home. But this is a café and I wouldn’t have minded waiting for a stove top reheat or a new bowl after the soup heating problem was fixed. I was already going to sit in the café and I’m not expecting fast food, just good food. The soup by the way was pretty good after it was heated. Tge prices are fair so I think I’ll make my way back sometime. I don’t know why people are talking about how the décor is bad. I think it represents the melting pot of culture that Portland prides itself on.

Excellent soups and sandwiches, always have great fruit on the side. Salads are good, but just not my style.(I prefer chopped salads and these always have large pieces of vegetables.) The only negative — and a big one — is the owner — he’s not friendly or professional– treats his staff poorly in front of customers and doesn’t appreciate customers — one of those guys who acts like he’s doing you a favor when you spend money at his place. I’m visiting from Atlanta and this place is delicious. I ordered the special that comes with a ½ sandwich, small salad and cup of soup. I got the ham, salami and pepperoni panini(Italian panini), the salad with balsamic vinaigrette and the thai pork and yellow curry soup. The food was quality, tasty and took little to no time to come to the table. The staff weren’t the nicest, but they weren’t the rudest. I would definitely come back.

I ordered clam chowder today after having dental work done, as I needed something easy to eat. The soup was delicious, as was the bread. Price was definitely right at $ 3.75 for a cup! Many gluten free options available. I’m bringing down to three stars due to very rude service. Store needs cleaned up a bit. Also very, very cramped.

I found Fresh Thyme Soup Co. by searching Unilocal while I was close by and decided to give it a shot. I visited on a week day during lunch time. The restaurant was busy but not overly crowded, and we were able to grab a table outside and enjoy the nice spring weather. The service was good, my turkey and cranberry panini was good, and the homemade chicken noodle soup was quite good. Overall, it was a nice lunch spot I would visit again if I were in the area.

I work nearby and everyone always raved about this place for having the best soup and sandwich. I finally got to try it and it does not disappoint! I had the chicken salad sandwich and Hungarian mushroom soup. AMAZING! This is definitely going to become my new lunch destination!

First off food-wise this place is awesome, still have her if it’s completely organic or not but everything is made in-house. The 3 star instead of the five star is for the seating. It is not good, this place has to many people into a small space so it makes it uncomfortable to sit at a table because you either have people going between them and you’re always having to either push in or you get bumps as they past you. This place makes plenty of money I assure you, but I know from other people that go there that this is an issue and usually go look somewhere else where they don’t feel like they’re in a can of sardines.

Walked in at 7pm and the place was filthy. None of the tables were cleared and it looked like a dump. The heavy set man behind the counter behaved as if it was an issue for me and my lady to be standing there waiting to order. And wait we did. I was wondering if there was some local ordering protocol that we were unaware of and not adhering to. And still we stood. Given that, I must say that the soup was beyond good. It was fabulous. The salad was just as any salad anywhere as was the sandwich. But the soup? Wowza. it was awesome. The place needs to up their game with customer service for sure. We nearly walked out of the place before we even ordered.

Great soup! Sandwiches are fantastic!!! However, the air circulation in the building is crap! You leave there smelling like food the rest of your day… It’s awkward, dogs will follow you, people say they smell food… I cannot go back there until they fix the smell issue… Embarrassing. Been there twice, happens both times.

Waited over 30 minutes for my food. My friend’s food came within 10 and we ordered at the same time. An employee had to come to check on my number after the first 15 and came back with my soup in a cup, not the bread bowl I had ordered. Grabbed a guy to let him know and he said he would fix it right away. I had to flag someone down after 30 because it was clear I was forgotten. I thought because I ordered a bread bowl that maybe they were cooking the bread from scratch or something. Nope. They eventually brought my soup in the bread bowl and gave me first bowl to take home extra. The last guy was apologetic at least. The soup was good but not great and not hot. Warm would’ve been a stretch. Place was super busy, though, so perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing or my food was actually sitting there for 30 minutes. My friend got soup and half a sando and seemed pretty happy about it.

So far, sitting in this café, I want to redecorate it badly. The theme, Paris, is great but things are not put up very well. Just scattered décor and it needs just a nice touch. Loved the food! Had the chicken wrap and it was delicious. I would come back to try another sandwich.

wow! really yummy sandwiches and soups, but you can’t be afraid of cream or butter as one or the other seems to be in everything. We got the mushroom soup and the clam chowder as well as the tuna sandwich and the roast beef. All were delicious! I am looking forward to going back. Minus one star for poor ventilation. Luckily we were getting our order to go, but it was pretty smoke and steam filled in there and as other reviews said, you will probably end up smelling like panini if you stay to enjoy your food.

We really enjoyed our visit to Fresh Thyme Soup Co. They have Clam Chowder daily, which made us chowderheads very happy. Other than needing maybe a bit more clams, the chowder had great taste and was made very well. The ingredients for our soup and Reubens were of quality. I will be back with my soup loving daughter.

I’ve been here several times(pretty close to my office)…and their food is ALWAYS5 stars! Service level is pretty good as well(especially with how busy they get during the lunch time… if you’re looking to have an inside seat location be patient as they will get full pretty fast… during sunny weather the outside is a good option). My favorite soup of theirs is the«Hungarian Mushroom»…they rotate soups on a weekly basis with a few stand by’s all the time(Chicken Noodle, Baked Potato and Clam Chowder). They also have salads, cold sandwiches, wraps and very, very good Panini’s). Very good selection of items to choose… and you won’t go wrong with any of them. If I could I’d do 4 ½ stars vs. a full 5. The only reason is the prices are slightly high in my opinion… but with that said I think the quality of their food is outstanding! So I’d rather give them the benefit of a «5 star» rating than knock them down to a «4 star» rating.

I love this place! Winter… Summer…really doesn’t matter, it’s gotta be my favorite«fast food» place in Beaverton. You can just taste the love in their soups! Served piping hot and fresh, you get a choice of toasted baguette or fruit for accompaniment. The prices here are more than reasonable, and if you get your order to-go, they even offer you a dollar off the menu price! I love the garnishes that are individualized for each soup, they really complete them giving them that«fresh to order» feel. The Hungarian Mushroom and Mulligatawny are two of my favorite soups here. Fresh Thyme offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free items/soups on the menu as well. I can’t attest to much more than their soups and paninis, but I’m sure the salads, pastas, and other sandwiches are just as good. I’m actually surprised by how many items such a small place can offer! They even offer cold soups like gazpacho and melon soups in the hot days of summer. I give them 5 stars for their food, but there are 2 small downsides to this place… maybe 3… 1) Don’t go here if you are planning to be in close proximity to people(people you care about? patients? co-workers? ESPECIALLY new love interests!!!) afterward. You WILL stink like a panini press. And I don’t mean for a hot second, I mean for the entire day or until your clothes are washed! I don’t know how the workers deal with this, such brave young souls! 2) The parking is sparse. I seem to get lucky most of the time and don’t have much problem, maybe I just eat at odd times. But you’ll see plenty of shotty parking along areas that are questionable. 3) I’ve only encountered this problem once or twice(at lunch hour), but sometimes it can be hard to find seating during the lunch rush. The seating gets extended on nice days to the patio, so that helps a bit… also helps slightly with(see 1).

I had a hankering for Hungarian mushroom soup, and it so happened to be on their menu this Sunday. A bowl comes with either garlic bread or fruit. I chose garlic bread because I love garlic and carbs. The bread was delicious. The soup was just okay. It was a bit too sour for my taste — a lot more sour cream than I would use if I cooked it myself. However, the creamy texture was good and I did get my craving fix. Service was quick and friendly. My meal was $ 5. Awesome. I don’t think I will be back again, but it was a decent one-time experience.
