Crown Trophy

Sometimes, Internet, you’re just too much of everything and not enough of that one specific thing you need.
I needed a pretty specific sort of award for a work event, and totally thought I could take on this task using my mad online shopping skillz. I had one in hand and just needed to order another… How hard could it be?
Here’s what I learned: I don’t know anything about trophy lingo — what is the base thing called? Is it just a base? What if it’s made of like half steel and half marble? Is it called something else? What’s the difference between glass and crystal? What the hell is jade?
After a couple of days of earnest searching, and with a deadline quick approaching, I gave up and called for Unilocal. Unilocal! What’s a trusted trophy shop not too far from my work?
Crown Trophy. Excellent. I shot them a message with a photo of the award I needed, and they responded quickly with an example of what they had that fit the bill, along with pricing and timelines. Voila. Exactly what I needed. Expert humans for the win. They should get, like, an award or something. I’m sure they’ve never heard that one before.

Always on time and done right. The employees are helpful and know their biz. I have purchased several times and never a problem.

Overall, I had a good experience. I ordered a few things and they said it took two weeks to get in.
I waited over two weeks and hadn’t heard anything. I called them and they lady told me «we don’t call people when their things arrive». That’s very poor customer service.
I’d like to give more stars as everything else went well but just can’t because of this.

I was recently in need of a small, commemorative engraved brass (–esque) plate in honor of a dear friend that had recently passed away. Without getting into the details, it was installed in his favorite place, a place that held many memories and friends for him. I miss him every time I see it.
Ahem. So, I called around to a few trophy shops thinking that would probably be the best place to get something like this done. I stopped in to Crown Trophy, selected what I wanted, and was out the door in 5 minutes.
When I came in a few days later to pick it up, there was a misspelling in the engraving. My handwriting — though I was careful to print — maybe wasn’t as clear as I had intended, and an «n» was read and engraved as an «r.» I meekly asked if they’d mind re-​doing it… though I knew it was just a few minutes before closing. No problem, they whisked the plate away to the back room, re-​did the engraving, done and done. No extra charge.
How much did this set me back? I was prepared to pay whatever I needed to; he was a dear friend after all, and this little remembrance was absolutely imperative. Um, less than $ 10.
Their bread and butter, from looking around the small but tidy and well-​stocked showroom, is in fact trophies (as their name would imply, or rather explicitly state.) Should you be in need of awards for a child’s sports team, or a business achievement, go here. Great service, very reasonable prices.
