I bought some furniture from Cort last year and it was a very smooth process overall. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The delivery was quick and definitely cheaper than other places. Everything I bought there was of high quality and I did not have any issues and that’s why I went back last week to get some more furniture. I highly recommend this place!

I had a very good experience with Cort Clearance. I had to move in a hurry, starting from scratch, and so I ordered one of the multi-piece sets over the phone. Everything arrived as expected and the quality is good for the price(with the possible exception of the bed frame and headboard, which is pretty rickety, but I can replace that soon enough). The delivery, handled by a separate company, was timely and efficient. Who knows how long the stuff will last, but for now, I’m very happy. Would shop here again.

Ok, I’ve had this bookmarked for two weeks thinking about what I want to say about this. Cort has ads on Craigslist linking to their website for used rental furniture that they are selling. They had an ad for a couch and chair for a certain amount of money, and a table and six chairs for a certain amount of money. In the pictures they looked good. I pondered for a while, then decided that used and cheap is better than used and questionable or new and expensive, right? Hmm. When I went in to look at them, the prices they quoted were different than what was on the website, and I’ve noticed since that the same items prices will go up and down, as if they’re looking for the price that will bring in the buyer. Not necessarily lower, either, just different. Sometimes with 9’s at the end, sometimes 5’s. Have you seen that Ellen Degeneres ad for jcpenny? it reminds me of that. Like they think one price SOUNDS better than another. Cort people, it’s only better if it’s LOWER. The salesman was pretty nice to me, he showed me a couch and chair that had allegedly been in a model apartment for two years, and quoted me a price(different than the tag AND the Craigslist ad).He gave me this speel about how he almost bought them for his own family, they were such a good deal, etc. etc. I liked them, I bought them. The table had six chairs. He said«it comes with four chairs, but I can throw in two more». Wow, what a deal… I said«the ad on Craigslist said six chairs». He said«oh». They really ought to read their own ads. I bought the table too. When the delivery people arrived(they don’t work for the store, you have to pay them in cash and it’s not very cheap), the table looked very different than the one in the store. Same style, model, etc, but much more banged up. With a deep gouge in the middle. I have to go buy one of those wood crayons now to try and make it happier. FYI, Cort has grades on their used pieces for sale. This one was a «C» probably, but the one I saw in the store was an «A.» This made me somewhat grumpy, but not grumpy enough to return the thing. So, the moral of my story(sorry I’m longwinded to get to this point)… If you’re going to buy furniture there, ask them, is this the SAME one you will deliver to me, or is there another in a warehouse somewhere you’re going to give me instead… because I didn’t ask this critical question. I wish I had. I didn’t go back and fight it, I’m tired, and my life is busy. The table is fine. The couch and chair are fine. They smell a little bit perfumey, like they were sprayed with Febreeze, which I don’t remember from the store, but I’m basically happy with them, and with what I paid for them. I do want to note that they have used lamps, end tables, etc. for pretty cheap, you can get some good deals in there. Just be careful. Like the Lorax said, You have been warned!
