This review is for Debra Brost specifically, she works at this particular salon along with many other talented individuals. My husband and I have been seeing Mrs. Brost for 35 years now. We have grown up together essentially. I have come and gone a few times, but hubby has stayed strong and never strayed. Debra is an amazing stylist, colorist and a dear friend. I have crazy long and naturally curly hair and she manages it beautifully. She has her own room with a door that shuts so no one can see you looking your worst with foil in your hair. The salon itself is beautiful and they sell some interesting things in the waiting area. You pay her directly, she accepts cash and checks, but no credit cards. She schedules far in advance, so plan ahead. Also there is little parking in front, but there are many more spots in the back of the building and you can go in the back door. If you can get an appointment I highly recommend Debra Brost!

I go to Becky Mack here for haircuts. She’s great, and I’ve used her services for 15+ years. We’ve done hairstyles from conservative to wild, and she can handle it. This shop has many practitioners, so I can’t speak for everyone working there. Her prices are reasonable, and I know I’ll look my best after her work. The waiting area is inviting, and stylists work in private rooms.

I’m very particular about my haircut and few have had the opportunity to cut these«locks of love.» When I was living in Massachusetts, I faithfully went to the same hairdresser(Martha) for 9 years. I was anxious about moving to Portland, not because of the cross-country drive, but because I would need to find a new person to cut my hair. I was referred to Vicki at Aesthetics Skin Care Institute by a friend. One haircut by her(she fixed my Sport Clips fiasco) and now I am a loyal fan. She is talented, friendly, accommodating, and affordable. My haircut costs $ 22(cash only, no cards). Both my wife and brother go to Vicki to get their hair-did. Book an appointment and park in the lot BEHIND the Oregon Wellness Center. When you’re done, you’ll have a nice doo for checking out Target or Swagat. Update: Vicki accepts cash and CHECKS!

Got my nails and brows done by a gal there one time. For brows: you go into a small room, and there’s an office chair you sit on. She tells you to tilt your head back then the waxing begins. Every time I’ve had my brows waxed elsewhere, you lay down on a treatment table. As far as nails go, it’s your typical mani, nothing special. The pedi’s are horrible. They use the pedi spas where you can buy at Bed Bath and Beyond and again, you sit on the office chair. It really feels like you went to someone’s house to get a mani/pedi/wax. Please don’t go there.
