Not the greatest for ice cream selection. But some of the other desserts that the Happy Skipper offers are the awe inspiring treats that really put them on the map. Ice cream wise Happy Skipper offers the basic flavors that you’d expect(chocolate, rocky road, moose tracks, banana, strawberry, etc,). and whether you get them in a dish, cone, or milkshake the end result is perfectly satisfactory. You can also replicate the same result with the many water ice flavors that they source from Philly. All are good things for typical ice cream lovers. But they take it even more up a notch when they bring in the few big gun specials, like a warm apple pie a la mode. But the complete and total AMAZEBALLS thing that they had to offer that has me craving more still was the chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick. for this treat that instantly earned a spot on my top five dessert list put a popsicle stick into the business end of a slice of key lime pie, doused it in dark chocolate, bagged it and froze it popsicle style. So amazing, and only available here and one other spot down the shore. If Happy Skipper had more confectionary treats like that they be a revelation that puts dessert on the map. But with just the couple that they have their a decent ice cream spot with some well played not too secret items that will have any sweet tooth enamored.
