Is this place really closed?! Oh no! I never finished this review.: This is one of the biggest food surprises I’ve found in Queens. I’m spoiled by living in Astoria and having some great restaurants a stone’s throw away, so I honestly wasn’t expecting anything beyond mediocre in this part of Bayside.(Except Ralph’s Ices, but that’s a separate review.) Originally craving Japanese food, my friends and I found ourselves on this block. But as we looked at the typical Japanese food menu next door, this amazing aroma of smoked meats and barbeque sauce wafted our way. Where was it coming from? Right next door! Three Brothers Butcher BBQ is a small neighborhood joint with a sizable meat menu, great prices, and just a few tables. The guys who work here are incredibly laid back, straight to the point, and surprisingly flexible when it comes to substitutions. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was savory, tender, and quite delicious. I also had a side of mashed sweet potatoes, which were pretty good, but the one-dimensional flavor gets tiring after a few bites. The meats here were all really good. The mac and cheese wasn’t anything out of this world, just as expected. Overall a great place, but if it’s really closed, I will have to say I’d be pretty disappointed. It was a huge(hidden) highlight of the area!

Me and a buddy were strolling down Bell trying to find something to eat when I saw BBQ. My three favorite letters. Recently moved from Houston where some of the greatest brisket beef in the world can be found; So it was hard to eat brisket in New York without feeling sentimental of Texas Beef. All that went away when I found Three Brothers and felt right back in Texas. All the meat is laid out in front of you looking so meaty and tasty making every Carnivore Animal Salivate like a hot dog(which I think they also sell on the menu). And so I ordered the brisket and he ordered the hot wings just so we can be able to try both chicken and the beef. They served the food to our table with some pickles on the side and soda and we chomped it down so fast it took me longer to lick the sauce off my hands. And the shirt. One of the managers was there and he was very warm and fun to talk to. We shared a few laughs I recommend anyone who loves meat to stop by and try the food. Yes they selled cooked and cold meat in case you want to take some home and cook it on your own time. I’m going to definitely be a regular here. Soon enough I’ll know the three brothers by name.

Love this place for catering. They are super friendly and helpful and can cater to any size party. Because my husband is from the south, I have to make sure any BBQ we eat is up to par and he approves of three brothers! We had them cater both our engagement party and his birthday party last year and all our guests were pleased. The pulled pork is our favorite, but the chicken is good too! The ribs are OK, but that’s because I like my ribs more saucy and thick. We were able to cater for about 30 people and managed to get the price to be about $ 10 per person because we ordered for 25 and still had leftovers! If you are ever in Bayside, should definitely stop by. They are also some of the nicest people around!

We had just left a nearby pressed sandwich place due to the long wait and 3 brothers caught our eye. We thought hey, why not just take a look. Their entire menu was impressive and full of mouth watering food. We settled on their famous steak sandwich, a cheeseburger, loaded fries and a crab cake. The famous steak sandwich was great, with chunks of well seasoned steak on garlic hero bread with cheese. The cheeseburger was tasty as well, no frills and you can choose what to add in there. The loaded fries were AMAZING! They asked us what type of meat we wanted(pork, chicken or beef) and we chose pork not knowing it would be their juicy pulled pork! Pleasantly surprised, the loaded fries were great with lots of meat, jalapenos, cheese and chopped onions. Their crab cake was full of chunky crab meat that was delicious. All around immensely satisfying meal, you won’t regret giving them a try!

I never thought I would find a decent BBQ place around here, especially in Bayside. We walked in and loved the laid back and friendly atmosphere. It seems like the guys working there knew most of their customers and chatted with them like old friends. After much debate over the droolworthy sounding menu, we chose: Ribs and pulled pork platter, comes with honey cornbread and coleslaw. Smoked Brisket with coleslaw on a roll Crab Bisque sugar cane root beer Oh yum. yum yum yum. The brisket was melting in my mouth. The slaw was refreshing and not heavily weighed down by mayo. The ribs were pretty good but the pulled pork was even better. Crab Bisque was full of crab meat and came with unlimited bread to dip. The bottled sauces at the table were yummy but definitely not needed since the food had great flavors already. Will come back to try their crab cake and that giant thick looking bacon in the display.

A-OK! This was my first meal in 4 days due to a terrible stomach virus =[, so I couldn’t order what I really wanted, which was pulled pork smothered in sauce, brisket, the whole nine! I played it safe and ordered a quarter chicken with mac and cheese. The chicken was dry as hell, but I just poured a bunch of the bbq sauce it came with all over. The mac and cheese was good, as was the cornbread. I’d have to give it another shot since I ordered out around closing time.

This place is EPIC. Like… EPIC. I don’t know how I never knew this place existed! Went with the recommendation of a friend when a bunch of us were hanging out. Walked in to the smells of thickly sliced bacon that was just pulled out of the smoker. Ran over and drooled by the pan until one of the brothers gave me a taste of that insane goodness! Had a BLT as I wanted as much of that bacon as possible(Seriously, heaven in my mouth. HEAVENINMYMOUTH!!). Friends had the pulled pork sandwich, and the sole man in our group had the Brawler. We had been eating all day, so we weren’t all that hungry, but I found myself polishing off my BLT, my friend’s half of a pulled pork sandwich, and several bites of the Brawler. Next time, I’m going for the Brawler!!! It’s the perfect combination of meats, cole slaw, and fried onion rings. Seriously, I’m trying to gulp back my drooling right now just THINKING about it, it’s SOGOOD. My new go-to spot for dinners now! Can’t wait to go back! And the guys behind the counter = wicked nice!

Really glad I found this place. Tried the chopped brisket sandwich and a little of my wife’s pulled pork sandwich. Brisket was definitely the winner of the two but they are both great. Meat is done extremely well, love the bread and cole slaw. Sauce isn’t my favorite, but still pretty good, just a touch vinegary for my taste. Also tried their mac N cheese(even though I ordered macaroni salad and got MnC instead).pretty good, worth trying. I’ll definitely be back, even if I have to add $ 10 to the cost to go over the bridge and back.

In the words if homer Simpson… mmm bbq. Food here was pretty decent. We did get enough food to feed maybe 6 ppl. But that’s bc the bf always over orders. we had the baked beans, some ribs, jambalya and the smoked brisket. Th meats were tasty the texture was just right and full of flavor. The bbq sauce they used was a combination of sweet, tangy and spicy.

Please visit this shop and get yourself a steak sandwich! Do not let anyone go halvsies with you. Tell them to get their own! The bread is toasted, rubbed with butter and garlic, slabbed with steak done the way you want then topped with melted mozzarella. It’s a heart attack wedged between bread but it is SO worth it.

After a bad meal at another local joint me and the wife walked across the street and got the most amazing pulled chicken sandwich with a side of corn. Going back again today… I just love this place. Good and consistently tasty food.

Looks can be deceiving and on passing by this local joint, you might not even give it a second look, but PLEASEOHPLEASE give their steak sandwich on garlic bread a try! Imagine a foot long sub roll smothered in mashed garlic, mozzarella cheese and tender morsels of steak sheets ready to be devoured. Yes, that is what you get when you order this notoriously delectable steak-wich! Everything is made on the premises. My hungry man, who has the appetite of a lumber jack, and I often order the full rack of ribs and pleasantly welcome the food coma that comes to us after diving in to enjoy the MEATY, luscious generous portion waiting for us! The barbeque sauce that accompanies this meaty specialty is tangy and perfect for dipping and spreading(we often smear this on the steak-wich too!) The macaroni and cheese and corn bread are great sides as well. The pulled pork tacos are not our fave, but that is because the taco shells don’t travel well when delivered. We have no complaints about any of the meaty loveliness that Three Brothers offers. :) Also, the brothers are GREAT! They are truly smart, good business people. Here is a prime example: when we mentioned to the oldest brother, who happened to pick up the phone and take our order, that we were treating ourselves to ribs and steak because we had just finished running a half marathon, we received a HAND-WRITTEN congratulations note and a complimentary bread pudding in our order! How sweet is that? These people know how to take care of their customers and offer GREATFOOD!!! CHECKTHEMOUT!!! This place is one of the gems on Bell Blvd!!!

I found this place with my brothers when we were looking to find a decent place near our neighborhood to get our BBQ fix, and boy did we find a winner. While parking is a bit of a issue, since Bell Blvd is quite crowded, but if you can get past that this place is simply terrific. It’s part butcher deli, part restaurant. Perfectly fine if you’re eating alone or with one other guest, but not many more than that as there are only 4 or 5 tables, most of which only seat 2. Great place for take out though. I’ve had many of their sandwiches, but quite frankly my favorite just has to be the pulled pork sandwich. The pork is cooked proper and shredded fine, without being too dry, smothered in their own blend of BBQ sauce, topped with slaw. Very generous portions and good to the last finger licking bite. Their sides are incredible as well. You simply must have the Jambalaya. It’s cooked drier than your typical variety, with nice spicy kick given off by their store blended sausage, with a herbaceous, almost earthy finish. The one reason i keep returning, besides the quick service, the well made sandwiches and side, is the consistency in quality. I’ve returned on several occasions and each time was just as good as the last. It’s always good to have a place where you know exactly what you’re going to get.

I’m a little mixed about this place because the first time I came, I absolutely loved the steak sandwich on garlic bread. So much so that I ate the whole thing and didn’t feel well for the rest of the day ’cause the portion was THAT humongous. The second time I came here and got the same thing, I just didn’t feel like it was as good as before? I don’t think the steak had any flavors this time whereas before, it definitely did. Really disappointed :( They have great cornbread, but the jambalaya is lacking. Don’t get it. Hubby didn’t enjoy the pulled pork — said it was too saucy and sweet and unfortunately they pre-mix the sauce with the pork so you can’t even ask them to lighten up or put it on the side.

4.5 stars One of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Big plus since its: 1) moderately priced 2) staff are nice 3) close to my home 4) it’s cute — love the hand drawn labels. I would come here every other weekend but my body and wallet would hate me forever. Pulled Pork Sandwich — the meat is so smokey but i wish they would serve it on warm bread Chopped Brisket — a little greasy but«melts in your mouth» good Ribs — a little dry if you eat it as is. 3BROS. Famous steak sandwich — steak on garlic bread. clean taste! Po’ Boy original — it was okay. we wanted the shrimp one but forgot to specify which one so they automatically gave us chicken. Baked Beans — big chunks of meat Jambalaya — great flavor! Creamed Spinach — tasted too healthy aka bland. A little disappointed because I had high expectations since they never had any left when I wanted it. Saved the best for last. Drum roll please! ****Corn bread — I usually don’t really care for them but these are to die for! Big warm moist squared piece of corn bread. ****Bread Pudding — my first bread pudding with caramel sauce. Loved it!

Came in here on a Friday night at about 11:00 P.M. right before they were closing. I had the BBQ Brisket sandwich, and a side of Jambalaya. I didn’t have high expectations when I walked in I was just in a hurry and it was kind of late. I have to say that that was the best BBQ Brisket I’ve ever had. It was delicious. The Jambalaya was excellent as well. I am definitely going to return here and I want to try everything they have here. FYI — This place also doubles as a butcher shop they sell cuts of meat and I think sausages as well. I can’t comment on the butcher shop, but I will definitely give it a shot the next time I want to fire up the grill and char some animal flesh.

Came here a few weeks back and just now getting around to the review… but I remember it like it was yesterday. I expected to see three hearty Texan looking brothers serving up BBQ but I was taken aback when the setup was more like a butcher/deli with casual seating. They should really include everything they actually serve at the store on the online menu. My friend showed it to me and I was so-so on the idea but when I got there and saw how much more variety there was it took me a good few minutes to decide. I got the ribs and jambalaya as a side which came with a nice size square of cornbread. The serving size is nicely portioned but if your used to Brooklyn spots with heaping portions you will be slightly disappointed. Quality wins out though as Three Brothers served up really good tasting food. The ribs were meaty but not overly fat, saucy but not drenched, and came with about 4 medium sized ones. They could be bigger and a bit smokier but for NYBBQ there pretty good. I personally like my jambalaya with a real quick and most places cater to northern palettes with no spice tolerance. Three brothers came the closest to what i have had down South as far as flavor. The cornbread was cornbread, nothing to write home bout. I will definitely be back again especially when its warm out to try the ice cream shop round the corner. So many flavors!

The friendly staff suggested 3 Bros. Famous steak sandwich. A garlic bread hero loaded with chunks of steak and mozzarella. A fantastic sandwich and if you get the hero, you have half as lunch for the next day. Reasonably priced bbq, though I’d suggest using them as a «shop.» You can order their meat by weight and easily make your own sandwiches at home. They have a diverse gourmet selection of sides as well.

So the«Older Brother» there is a complete riot. Recent convo with him while Mark G & I went here for the brisket. FYI, we came in at like 1030AM after a 3 hour board study session: [old brother] «We serve a great fuckin’ brisket here.» [us] dumbfounded, but intrigued. [old brother] «ya see that car out there? Chevy Caprice. 1973. best fuckin’ car ever.» [us] holy shit, this guys awesome [OB] «so, I gotta ask ya. Is this a late dinner, 4th meal kinda deal? out all night partying? or an early lunch?» [us] «no, early lunch.» [OB, in complete disbelief] «yeah, look at your bloodshot eyes, you’ve been out all night. I can tell. (looks at us with devilsh grin, saying nothing) [OB] «You kids, you love the fucking city… Briskets ready. You’ll love our damn brisket too» [us] «no really, we’ve been studying» [OB] «for what… haha. what a country. GODBLESSAMERICA.» This guy has served for countless jokes over the past month. I mean, Im partial to the ’71 caprice, but really, how can you argue with OB?
