Walked into PC Richard looking for a deal on a washer and dryer because mine literally broke down that day. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Was I going to get a pushy salesman? A bad price? Was my experience going to be like the other appliance stores? NONE OF THE ABOVE! My salesman was kind, respectful, funny, easy to talk you, and he answered ALL OF MY QUESTIONS THAT I HAD in terms of delivery, size of the units, installation, etc. The whole sales process was smooth and went without a bump. I decided to go with one of their special deals they were running that day, and I have not been disappointed with my purchase. After the sale was made, the managers, Kamal and Joe, greeted me and asked me how the sales process went and did my salesman answer all of my questions. I said «YES» a billions time over! And here I was thinking my salesman was polite. The managers made me feel welcomed; they, too, were funny, polite, and sociable. The delivery process was smooth and professional. Thank you so much, PC Richard. Thank you for giving me a wonderful shopping experience, and thank you for being one of the last companies to offer face-​to-​face sales communications. Things like this are lacking nowadays, and it is much needed in the world we live in. Thank you to my salesman, F, and to the the managers, Kamal and Joe, for making my shopping experience a five-​star experience. HERE’S TO ANOTHER 100 YEARS!

My experience started as a 5 but ended as 2 stars.
On Tuesday November 3^rd, I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine at PC Richard, Store #33. Salesman Louis was very helpful and so was the rest of the staff. Upon leaving Louis asked if I could Unilocal the service and I said I would. I did not pick up the washer until Thursday, November 5^th. I parked in front of the store and with the help of one of the laborers we loaded the washer into my van.
When I got home I took my time following the instructions page by page. My wife wanted to know what was taking so long. When all was done, I loaded clothes and detergent, turned the knob to NORMAL and pressed START. Well this is where the fun begins.
The machine leaked from the front inside of the machine. Not from where I connected the ‘HOT & COLD’, but from where the water enters the drum through the detergent. Water all over the floor. I quickly stopped the machine and called the store. My salesman was not there, I explained the problem and that I had picked up the machine less than 3 hours before. I was told to call for service. The machine was not 24 hours old and I was told to call for service. The next day I called for service just to get an appointment and then called the store back. I explained everything about the leak to whomever answered and they said, ‘Call for service.’ I told them the machine is not even 24 hours old and I’m not getting it serviced, I want a new one. I was transferred to a manager who said I would have to wait until Tuesday, November 10^th for a new machine, since they come to the store by truck. And I would have to bring the defective machine back to the store. Since I had picked it from the store. So I suggested why not have a new machine delivered and the old one picked up. They at first said NO, so then I reminded the manager I have not yet Unilocaled the service. He tuned changed and said he would need to call me back. When he called back he said delivery and pick up was set up for Saturday, November 7^th.
I get a call to confirm delivery for Saturday and asked for a time after 12pm, since I would not be home. I was told OK and that there would be a call half hour before delivery. So I gave them my wife’s call number to call when ready. They first tried to contact my wife at 11:58am and again at 12:01pm, saying they were at my house. That’s not a half hour notice. My wife raced home to find no delivery truck. They left to go to another delivery. Finally returning to my house and delivering the machine.
When I got home I discovered the delivery truck tried to contact my house at 10:45am. I also read the deliver receipt and it plainly reads «CALL CUSTOMER 1 HOUR BEFORE DELIVERY,» with my wife’s cell phone following this message.
AND this is why I’m giving PC RICHARD & SON 2 stars. Purchasing & Pick-​Up was easy and friendly. But once I had a problem with the machine, customer service was poor until I mentioned Unilocal. Delivery was unsatisfactory because workers did not read and follow directions.
By the way the new washing machine works with NO flood.

I recently was faced with a warm refrigerator… and panicked I was going to loose a lot of food… ran to BAY RIDGE

That day I not only bought a Fridge, But also a Stove and Microwave. I was in love with SAMSUNG STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES. Louis showed me all 3 that matched, right up my alley. My only regret is I wish my building allowed dishwashers in a one bedroom apt’s…I would’ve bought that too.
The manager Kamal is a gem!!! He referred me to Louis B., assured me Lou was the guy! Thank you Kamal and Lou… for helping me in my hour of need when the old fridge died.
My appliances were delivered the next day by very professional workers… who were very detailed in fitting everything where it should be… they left no mess at all.
No matter where I shop and price appliances and electronics needs… I seem to always end up at P.C. RICHARD’S BAY RIDGE

Just Finalized my Purchase of my appliances and I have to say My salesman Frankie once again was Spectacular. He was a big help when picking out my whole new set of kitchen Appliances and I could not be happier and comfortable with this purchase. This guy knows his stuff cause he knew what would match well with my new kitchen that I have being installed. (originally going with White appliances) he changed my mind and I’m glad he did cause the stainless steel is gonna look much more stylish as well. He took his time to make sure that everything we picked out fit our needs. We love to cook and in my house we usually have family dinner at my house every Sunday. So not only will they be impressed with the cooking they will be impressed with how my kitchen looks too. Lol. I highly recommend if you are looking to purchase any appliances or electronics go and see Frankie boy. You will not be disappointed in whatever you purchase.

So our experience with PC Richard was very smooth while purchasing appliances at the store. Dave, the sales person, was patient and a great help. However, he didn’t inform us about the return/​exchange policy. That’s when the whole experience turned out to a nightmare. We bought four mattresses (which is a new line to the company). One of the four mattresses we bought, a Queen mattresses, didn’t look right and was kind of curved from the middle. We called PCR to exchange only to notice that it was not an option. After several phone calls, they sent two employees to check on the mattress so they’d probably return it to Sealy under manufactures warranty. That didn’t work because it was only 1 inch and manufacture’s guidelines for returns only accepts an inch and a half in order to exchange. Since I’m stuck with the mattress now, I figured to change the two spring boxes to one, just in case if the curve that was in the middle occurred because of that. It took me at least 4 phone calls (at least 5 – 10 minutes each time) to exchange box spring without a fee. After scheduling the delivery, no one showed up. When I called the day after to follow up, they didn’t even apologize (about 10 phone calls at this point). I was advised to call and follow up if the order was put in the system instead of them calling and making my life a bit easy.
All in all, TERRIBLE customer service. Maybe good with appliances but think twice before buying a mattress from those guys.

David is by far my favorite sales guy at this location. He is always so happy and pleasant to work with. He knows his stuff and will always make sure you are happy with a good deal. I have returned to this location several times in the past few years and choose to only work with David. Thank you!

Herb was a great help with my purchase of a washing machine, on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park, helping me think through the pros and cons of each option. I didn’t feel like I was being pushed into a decision. He was straight forward and pleasant. He really makes P.C. Richard & Son look good. At this point, I would not go anywhere else for appliances.

I was not too thrilled with my visit here. My dishwasher stopped functioning but luckily I had a 10 year warranty on it. The part that I needed for the dishwasher was on back order so it would have been 5 weeks without repairs. Having a warranty thats unacceptable so I filed a complaint and I received a store credit for a new dishwasher. Perfect. I get to the store and decide to pick out a new washer. The gentlemen tells me that the credit does not include deliver which will have to be paid separately. Ok so now I’m $ 135 in the hole. He then proceeds to haggle me to get another 10 yr warranty again on my new dishwasher. I proceed to tell him that i do not want to pay $ 135 and an additional $ 245 for a new warranty. I should have already had an additional 4 years left on my old warranty but that will no longer be honored due to the store credit. Ok, I’ll take my chances without one then. He continued on and on and said more than once that its «crazy» that I don’t want to jump on a warranty and he’s «never heard anything like this before» ect ect basically insulting me. He then tried to cut deliver fees so I would only pay for the warranty. He starts rambling off numbers and again I say no thank you and again he goes on to say that this is «crazy» and he continues to go on and on. All I was thinking was can you put in my order so I can leave? Extremely unprofessional. Clearly they get commission here. Making customers feel uncomfortable with insults is not a good sales pitch. These sales guys should get some better training on how to pitch a sale!

I have to admit the reason I chose PC Richards and Son (Bay Ridge location) is because of Joe Santana. He is very courteous and knowledgeable about the products he has to offer and made my purchase simple. I was able to trust him that he would stay within my budget and with the help of the regional manager Bill I was able to get the products I wanted for the price I wanted. In fact, if it wasn’t for Joe I would have forgotten the stacking kit for my washer and dryer. I will definitely go back for my next purchase as the service and prices can’t be beat.

Two sales reps spent a good amount of time helping to find me the right replacement after my refrigerator broke, and pushed for delivery ASAP.

I went to purchasea a vacuum cleaner and saw one I liked for $ 299 on sale. When I went to buy it I was told the sale was over and that they had forgotten to remove the sale tag. The price was now $ 329. I walked out of the store.

P.C. Richards has a lot of the latest products out today. Make sure you check out the circulars for the latest deals and sales. It is the holidays and a lot of the products were on sale or have been discounted from their normal prices. It is not bad store to purchase stuff at, but customer service maybe a little tough to get because either they walk pass you, pretending you are not there or they are really busy. It took a while for someone to help me out.
I came here to spoil myself by purchasing an iPad Mini for my birthday. It was for only $ 299 because it was the holidays. Not only that I had a $ 25 gift certificate and P.C. Richards gave me a $ 50 mail in rebate as well. I also purchased a iPad mini case and the total with the tax and discount was $ 338 and change. Add the $ 50 rebate I’ll be getting back, I paid $ 288 for an iPad mini and a case. Score!!!

These jerks tried to sell me an HDMI cable for $ 134 dollars! They work on commission and really can’t be trusted to be honest with you. I will never go back. Bought my cable online for $ 20. I will absolutely never go back there.

I was very lucky to get the best salesman they have on staff, for my purchase. Very patient individual, informative, going-​the-​distance-​to-​make-​the-​sale. Haven’t dealt with any of the other staff as yet but the whole place is simply very energetic about selling appliances. They are on top of every detail, seemingly. Prices good; customer service good. Highly organized.
I would give four stars based on all this – but will hold off until they recognize the one minor –but I feel, important – detail which they’ve overlooked so far. There’s nowhere to sit. This store is found on a very unpleasant corner street location next to the Ft Ham Parkway (constant noise, hustle-​bustle, horns, and chaos). Many times, customers are forced to stand outside waiting for their car, their appliance, or their taxi. Its a huge empty sidewalk, blasted by wind and sun. How about some potted shrubs, for shade and windbreak? How about some lawn furniture, some plastic benches for people to rest their heels on during a hectic shopping trip? It sso easy to do. Then you just take them inside at night. Would make such a difference! Get with it, PC Richards!

Moshe the Manager gave us great service when my sons Air Conditioner
failed to have the oompf to cool his new babys room. Moshe offered to exchange the Fridgedaire 5000 for the next one up with only the difference to be paid. Brave Moshe!!!
Also this is the best, cleanest and most organized PC Richards in the chain. The salespeople are nice and knowledgeable. And they cheerfully
bring your stuff out to the Car… A great place to shop with service not to
be found anywhere else.

Great place to buy a television! I trust the crew at PC Richard because their stores are not huge and they have their staff focus on the specialty items they sell.
TV’s are specifically what i would buy here, with a huge variety and mostly reasonable prices. Staff is on point with any qiestions you may have and PC has great warranties for their products.
Shop for TV’s with confidence or just take a walk inside and see what they have to offer

I bought a laptop from this place over 2 years ago, and it’s still rockin’. However, a number of programs installed were trial versions, so I’d recommend following up with them to ensure you know exactly what you’re getting.
It’s a fairly large store, so if you’re looking for any number of electronics, I think it’s a solid option for the area. I think for the 86^th street area, it’s the largest electronics store around. Prices are fair, IMO!
