Went to Blossoms for the first time last night with my boyfriend. We were craving sushi so we ordered 4 different rolls(jalapeño popper, mexican, awesome blossom, and tri city roll) they were all delicious!!! For an appetizer we order crab cheese rangoons, which were probably the best I’ve ever had! They were so fresh and crispy, we almost put in a second order. This is definitely one of our top go to spots for sushi now in Bay City. Not only was the sushi great, but the service was excellent. We were seated right away, drinks and food came out in a timely manner and the server made sure to check on us a few times. As we were walking out my boyfriend and I agreed that everything about Blossoms was great and we didn’t have a single complaint.

Love this restaurant, very good food. The appetizers are great and the entrees are wonderful. Our server, Kendra, was very attentive even though she was working a lot of tables. I recommend trying the gyosa and spring rolls

I had a hair in my seafood soup so they took it back to make me «a new one» well my «new one» had no crab. It’s a seafood soup and I had shrimp only. The manager said the owner was in the back and never heard from him. There compensation to me was taking off my $ 3.00 seaweed salad. Been here multiple times before but this will definitely be my last. Service is key in this business. I understand«hair happens» but I feel I should have been better compensated. Sorry Asian Bistro but you wanting to save yourself $ 10.00 for my seafood soup is just bad business.

The food was very«meh». Not really worth going back for. The atmosphere was fine, very nice décor. What really docked them for me was the service. Our server, Justin, was horrendous. Ignored us, forgot food, etc. Basically took our order then stopped serving us.

This place was suggested by a friend after I mentioned wanting Gengi’s. I’m so glad I took her advice. I ordered hibachi steak and shrimp with sushi at dinner and my total bill was $ 22. I could never have gotten that price at Gengi’s! And they even had that amazing carrot ginger salad dressing. My only critique is I wish they had more of a sushi selection, but I can’t complain. I have suggested this place to others and they all agree; great food for a great price!

I ordered the vegetable sushi rolls and sesame chicken, both were very good. The sesame chicken came with hot and sour soup which was out of this world good. My husband ordered shrimp fried rice and was a little disappointed because the eggs in his meal were slightly burnt. The hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant was virtually empty on a Monday evening and is nicely decorated. It would be a nice place to take a date or clients as long as it isn’t too busy. The open tables would be a bit too loud to converse on a busy night. We will be returning.

Mediocre at best. The sushi looked like minimal effort was put into preparation… poorly cut vegetables and sloppy rolling. They were very bland in flavor. Soy sauce was the saltiest I have ever tasted. The tacos were great but tiny and oddly paired with rice. Décor is pleasant and I wanted to like this restaurant. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.

I chose to go with a generous 4-star review because I see potential and support the concept of Blossoms. The menu is new and refreshing, especially the tacos. The udon is also fairly decent, and the teriyaki tofu is quite tasty! If you want truly authentic sushi and non-fusion cuisine, this is not the place for you. If you desire Asian fusion in a town with very little of such, here’s your choice! Prices are reasonable and service is adequate. I’ve often waited a bit for a table, but the food comes fairly promptly. They’re off to a good start.

First off, if you’re comparing this place to a big city restaurant, don’t. If you’re comparing it to all of Bay City… Well… I love this place. I’ve been at least 5 times since they’ve opened. I always get the sushi. They only have a couple rolls to choose from, which is disappointing, but they are very delicious. My husband and mother in law get the cooked dishes and have liked them. The restaurant décor seems a little bare… The waitstaff varies. There’s a really nice, tall, young guy who is very friendly, and I enjoy when he waits on me. A couple of the other waiters seem disinterested in customer service… and that’s not cool. I think this is still a work in progress. I’d like to see the menu have less traditional items and more«fusion» dishes. I’d pick this over Fusion 1 any day!

Clearly one of the best Asian food places in the tri-city area. Provides a culinary tour of the southeast Asia and Japan and Korea.

I’m giving this restaurant a 4 because personally I’ve liked almost everything I’ve had, with a few critiqes. The Malaysian Fried Noodles are my absolute favorite and a very unique dish for this area. I get Pad Sieu all the time at Thai Restaurants in the Flint and Detroit area, this is very similar if you add broccoli. Tasty rice noodles in a delicious smoky brown sauce, just enough to coat the noodles. I eat the Bibimbap, very good. Hot stone bowl with rice, beef, spinach, fried egg, zucchini and the best Korean sauce on top. The hot bowl cooks the rice to a crispy and delicious texture. Preparation consistency needs some work though. I’ve had bowls that weren’t as hot as they should be and the eggs are almost always over cooked. It’s delicious and I always wish the portion was larger or they had a larger available. I recently started trying the bowls, also very unique for this area. Great flavors, complex dishes and a great lunch on a cold day! Again though some preparation issues. Eggs should be soft boiled, I don’t really care for a solid hard boiled egg in my soup, it should be soft, runny and combine with the broth to form a silky consistency. Also, broccoli was undercooked and huge pieces to eat with a soup spoon. Easy fixes and it would be perfect. I’ve tried the hibachi, steak and chicken, very nice. Yes oddly similar to Asian Express in Midland, but great nonetheless. Sushi, I’ve had one roll and it was tasty! It’s not super high quality sushi restaurant sushi, but tasty. I’ve tried the tacos. My husband liked them more than me. Personally I think the shells need more of an Asian touch. Wonton wrapper shells, soy wrappers, not Mexican tortilla. The contents are very tasty though, especially steak. I haven’t tried the Chinese since they have that everywhere else, but they have options there as well. Atmosphere, very clean and modern. Love that. It’s nice to eat at an Asian restaurant that looks clean and trendy looking. Staff, amazing. Very attentive with managers even roaming to check on you and your experience. Nice touch. I’ll be back, have already been at least 10 times.

We tried this place out last night and I just had to laugh. It is literally the same as Genji but half the price for their hibachi menu items. The yum yum sauce is very runny and not at all like Genji. We overheard the waitress tell the table next to us that«this is a sushi restaurant» which is absolutely not true. This restaurant has been hyped up way too much and is really just a copy of Genji with cheaper items. Personally, I would drive to Saginaw or Midland and pay full price for quality food.

Finally!!! Bay City has a good asian restaurant again! Awesome service, cute atmosphere, great food. I had Malaysian Noodles. They were awesome. Little bit of kick, perfect. My best friend and mom had tacos. They had a mix of coconut shrimp tacos and korean bbq beef. We all raved over our food. Our waitress was so sweet. Someone else even came around and checked on everyone. We will definitely return.

I’m so excited that this area finally has a sushi place! Blossoms has sushi, your standard Chinese dishes, and hibachi meals! Their menu has a great variety. I had the teriyaki chicken hibachi(only $ 7.50 for lunch!), and it was amazing. I would prefer the veggies to be cooked a little longer, but overall it was delicious. Great service as well. Very friendly staff. Nice, new, modern place. Great deals, very affordable prices. They are busy! Get there before noon if possible for lunch — they fill up quick! The Tri-city sushi roll was also delicious. I’ll be back for sure! This is my new favorite spot in the area! :-)

A group of friends and I tried Blossoms for the first time last week. The sushi selection is small, but it was good! My friend tried a couple of the fish tacos and said they were«okay». Crab rangoons were a little greasy. We all had hibachi and thought it was really good for the price. I got steak and shrimp hibachi and it was only $ 13. Overall, we really enjoyed it!

Popped in here after some auto service at Thelen. River Roar or something was going on, so there were a lot of cool expensive boats in the area. Anyways, I was the first customer of the day, and some friends of mine recommended this place. It was very good, I had the Curry Noodles or something like that. There were a lot of things on the menu I’d like to try in Saginaw. Service was exceptional too, my server was prompt and didn’t bug me. Don’t understand the negative reviews on here, it’s a bit bizarre.
