My visit here was just fine. The rooms are a little older, and there is only an option for air conditioner(freezing!) or heater(it got too warm too quickly). The rooms include a small kitchenette, which would be helpful for lengthier stays. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The hotel does include a breakfast, which was just fine. Proximity to campus is great, so there were no complaints on location. My two worries were the following-1. The latch on the door lock did not work entirely. It was loose, and this was not settling to me as a guest. 2. The bathroom is need of updating. Stat. It was old and showing its wear and tear. The lighting is dark, and, overall, it is not an inviting and almost not a functional space. Again, this place was just fine, but a few changes would really make it shine.(rhyme time!)

If you’re in town for LSU football, or any other LSU event, Staybridge is the best option for any reason. The VERYBEST!!! No need to find parking for the game, paying astronomical fees. Staybridge is walking distance from Tiger Stadium. It’s a nice walk, but if you’re not willing to walk, a rickshaw will come along & pick you up for $ 9.00 per person.(Not affiliated with Staybridge.) Not bad, especially if you find yourself in a downpour, as we did. That said, ponchos were also available at the hotel’s front desk for a small fee of $ 3.99. A lifesaver! The walk back was pleasant and safe. Once in our suite, we were more than content. Nicely decorated, our suite had a small kitchen(stove top, no oven) with utensils, dishes, pots/pans, living room with sleeper sofa, flat screens in both living room and bedroom with a DVD or Blue ray player(can’t remember which), and a nice sized bathroom. The bed, oh my gosh! The queen sized bed was beyond comfortable. I wanted to kidnap the bed. Better than our bed at home! Our suite was PERFECT! Very quiet! A continental breakfast was served buffet style with fresh fruit, juices, milk, coffee. Whatever one wants to drink. Fountain drinks, too, for you Coke lovers. Breakfast was delicious and more than plenty. If you want to burn off calories consumed at breakfast, head down to the fitness room. Great equipment! I used the facility during the evening and no one was there. There’s a nice swimming pool with a pagoda and BBQ pit. Need to wash clothes? Leave your quarters behind because it’s free to wash/dry clothes in very clean, nice machines. Everything well maintained &CLEAN. Free WIFI. Listen, every comfort from home is right here! Check-in is easy and the staff is incredibly friendly. Super duper nice! They even remembered our first names after a busy weekend of seeing everyone in purple shirts. Now, that’s personable! If you’re hungry, grab a bite to eat at Marty J’s, conveniently located right there. What else can I add? More amenities than I can list. Feels like home & we’ll be back often. Love it here & I’m picky! Conveniently located to downtown & easy access to I-10. You can’t go wrong at Staybridge Suites. You just can’t! They also welcome pets! Exceptional place, especially for extended stays. Make the reservation already!

The most convenient hotel for game day hands down. You can see the stadium from the hotel. It’s dog friendly and breakfast is included. The rooms are clean and spacious. You can also walk to a few restaurants and bars around the area.

My hubs and I were so pleased to find a nice hotel in Louisiana after having horrible hotel experiences in New Orleans. The king suite is so spacious. The price wasn’t bad either. My hubs loved that there was a washer and dryer on site too so he could do some laundry, as he did not bring enough clothes for our vacation. We would definitely stay here again.

Staybridge Suites Baton Rouge– At LSU Southgate — Located on Nicholson Drive, Baton Rouge, LA My 5 stars are for the following reasons: This is THE closest hotel to Box Stadium. You can easily walk to The Box from here! Also within walking distance is a coffee shop, ATM and Walk On’s, as well as the LSU store — much of which are part of the same stripcenter. There is also a bar/grill in the same complex as the hotel. The area around the hotel is clean and nice too. The wi-fi was free and worked well. In general the hotel is not at all fancy. I’d call it’s décor rather minimalist. The hotel is quite clean, everything you need in an apt. style hotel room is here! Also the parking lot is well lit and there is plenty of spaces! We wanted to host others in our hotel room ‘living room’ area — which worked perfectly! Our ‘kitchen’ was sizable and open to the ‘living room’ area with a fridge, and large counter top/bar. We also had a table and chairs as well as a sofa, chair, and coffee table. I was VERY pleased with this hotel and will stay here again when in BR. It took me a while to put the review up as I was last here in April. This hotel seems to sell out quickly during big events — I wish I could have stayed here last week!

I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. Rooms were very spacious and clean, every amenity I could want in a suite was there, internet service was great, continental breakfast was excellent, and during the middle of the week they actually also had a complimentary happy hour with free beverages and hot dogs. I will definitely stay here every time I come to Baton Rouge.

I went to a wedding in Baton Rouge and the bride and groom negotiated a decent rate with the Staybridge Suites. We stayed for two nights, with four to a room and a fifth on one of the nights. I think the cost was around $ 120 a night, which ended up being pretty cheap split multiple ways. The lobby was small and plain, but I was surprised at how nice the room was. It was huge, with a big bedroom and a bigger outer room with a living area that had a great TV and a couch that was big and comfortable enough to sleep our fifth person. The outer room also had a full kitchen — I mean fridge, cooktops, dishware, everything. The name of the hotel suggests it’s designed for extended stays, and I could definitely see living here without too many problems. The room was also clean and the beds were very comfortable. I was really pleased with our stay. It was cheap and cozy and I had a great time in Baton Rouge. I would recommend the Staybridge Suites to anyone in need of a hotel in the area.
