Subway

I work in Fells Point so I feel like I live at this Subway. The people who work there are always pleasant and friendly. My food is always fresh and good when I get it home. Clean bathroom if you need it. I like that they have specials that a lot of Subways don’t have, like the 2 dollar 6 inch of Cold Cut or Meat Ball Subs after 3pm. I would like to just state that I think the woman who was the runner who was pissed off because they wouldn’t let her use the bathroom was absolutely wrong. She states she asked to use the bathroom. They told her it was for customers only. Then she proceeded to whine and say «Can’t you just let me use it anyways»…So what she was saying was «I know you have rules, But I am better than everyone else, let me use it anyways». How RUDE. There are 100 bars in the vicinity where you could just walk into and use the bathroom and leave. By the way, Where Subway is in Fells, there are a lot of homeless and druggies who like locked bathrooms to do drugs and god knows what else in. THAT is why its for Customers only. Get over yourself and buy a veggie sub next time, Self important, entitled brats really piss me off. This Subway is the best downtown. It really is.

I don’t get why this place has such low reviews. Its a subway — and you get what you expect here. For under 10 bucks you can have a foot (or almost foot…) of sandwich, a medium soda and a bag of chips. The place is cleaner than most, the staff was friendly — and not just by Baltimore standards — and I was in and out pretty quickly.
I did read the review from the runner who was denied access to the bathroom… I’m a bit upset about that, as a runner myself, and I really hope they rethink that policy. I for one, will be sure to make my way back to anyplace that allows me to use their bathroom for free. However, I didn’t experience that, so I’m sticking with my ratings based on my personal experience — which was A-​Ok.

As far as food goes, this is like any other Subway.
However, like the two previous reviews, I thought it should be known that the staff here is MISERABLE. They are very rude and unhelpful. They do not understand the concept of $ 5 footlongs. And they are incredibly skimpy on the veggies. What an unfortunate experience.

While this is not necessarily a review of Subway’s FOOD, this review of the Fells Point Subway is so poor that it needs to be written.
I was out for a run last night around the inner harbor area of Baltimore, and was already 5+ miles into my run (so obviously not near my house) when I had to stop to use the bathroom. Trust me, if I could have finished my run and waited until I got home, I would have, but this was not the case.
I went into Subway, where there were two employees and one customer, and very pleasantly asked if I needed a key to use the restroom there. One of the employees sarcastically replied «CUSTOMERS ONLY,» to which I replied, «Oh! I’m sorry! I really, really need to use the restroom, would you mind anyway?» He doesn’t say anything. So I ask one more time, «I really can’t use the restroom here?» to which HE TURNS HIS BACK ON ME AND IGNORES ME. I looked to the other employee and said, «really?» and he just looks away and ignores me too! I was so in shock that they would be so ignorant as to ignore me that I couldn’t even come up with any decent response to their rudeness! I just said, «You’re just going to ignore me?!» and they did! The one kept his back completely turned to me and wouldn’t turn around, and the other wouldn’t respond or even make eye contact.
I am not even so upset about the fact that I couldn’t use the restroom as I am about the fact that the employees didn’t have the common decency to even respond to me. If they had said «I’m sorry, we really aren’t allowed to let non-​customers use the bathroom, it is corporate policy,» I wouldn’t have been so angry, but that wasn’t the case at all. And really?! There was ONE customer there, it’s not like it was a booming lunch hour, it was night time. What do they want, a quarter for the water I used to flush their dirty toilet? I will never go to this Subway again, and I will tell my friends to stay far away as well.

I never in my life thought I’d end up writing a review for a chain restaurant, but, oh Subway, how you’ve inspired me.
This place is awful. The service is terrible and rude. I live around the corner and I think I got in on a Thursday night after working way too late and thought I’d just get a sub — I go in and two guys are working — not another soul in the place. They can’t figure out how to even ask me what I want, but once they do I just ask for a Veggie Sandwich. He proceeds to put about 4 pieces of spinach on it — I ask for more — he puts two more leaves — I, at this point, realize this is going to be a long session with Mr. Subway man and just sign up. I ask for more spinach about 10 times, and then it’s on the cucumbers… you can imagine how that goes…
I try to explain to him that I’m not getting any meat, so I really need some actually veggies on my sandwich if this is going to work out for me.
WHat was vexing was that he really couldn’t understand me and I couldn’t understand him. So every time I asked for more — he would say «you want cheese?» and I would say «no.» And, onward we would go. I seriously wanted to walk out during this whole exchange, but I felt bad for that poor spinach.
There it is — a review of a chain restaurant.
Don’t go. Go to Stuggys and get wings or a hot dog.
