I have been here twice. The first time the stylist cut my hair WAY too short. Then she left the salon. The second time I went back and the owner cut my hair. She is a nice person but I don’t think she took into consideration my hair type or facial features. I do not feel that the cut complements me that much. Also my hair seems much drier and frizzier now (I opted for color). This coupled with the fact that I received a call that morning asking if I could change my appt time with no reason offered is why I am off to find a new salon.

Very cute and loved hair salon. Be prepared for an in depth, pre-​proceedure questionnaire, all about your hair. LOL Very therapeutic! My stylist’s name is Erika, and I’ve already scheduled a color session in a month. She was very good at listening to my needs and I’m happy with the results. They have quite a selection of product brands, and I got the style primer (never heard of it before, so had to try it!). I came out with a warm and fuzzy feeling, despite having dropped $ 50 for the cut, great atmosphere and knowledgeable stylists, definitely recommended!

I am not a fan of the mega-​salons like About Faces or the cheaper chain-​salons (Hair Cuttery) so this place really fit the bill. The proprietress, Debbi, is a master stylist with years of not only cutting experience but, boy does she know her color! I visited on a whim about 4 months ago and have religiously returned every 6 – 7 weeks. Debbi possesses LISTENING SKILLS, so you always get what you ask for– right down to how she blow dries your hair. Of course, you can always give her creative license and be wowed! The shop is clean, the salon coordinator is helpful and she usually has one or two other stylists working to take walk-​ins.
Hint– You can park in the upper lot– north of the Bank of America, because street parking can be tricky.

So, I was in desperate need of a new salon. I was just getting tired of the big name salons. I mean, getting a color, wash, cut, and style these days can cost a small fortune and who wants to spend their hard earned money at salons that don’t really listen to your needs and rush you out the door? No one. Unfortunately, it happens far too often.
Well, Sass Salon is here to the rescue! I am so glad I whipped out my phone as I was walking by to save their number because I am a customer for as long as I live in Maryland!
As soon as you walk in, you get an enthusiastic hello from everyone there. They promptly offer something to drink (water, coffee, and even wine)! Allyson is my stylist and I have been there four times now. First time was just a consultation and it was the most in-​depth consultation I have ever had. I was actually being listened to! I knew I had picked the right place. Everything from the wash to the cut and style was just fantastic. Allyson informed me of the products she was using in my hair and I could tell that she truly believed in these products; that it wasn’t just a ploy to get me to spend more money. It is very obvious that Debbie, the owner, loves her salon and her customers. She is a great stylist too! Gave me a superb cut yesterday. My husband was in love as soon as I walked in the door!
I just feel «at home» when there. It’s a little escape from the monotony a day can bring.
They offer makeup services and sell some nice jewelry too!
The service this salon provides goes above and beyond. I highly recommend giving this place a shot. You will not regret it!
P. S. You can park right out front but the meters only last one hour (I think) so I would suggest parking across the street in the parking lot.

New to the area and wanting to support local business, I gave this salon a try. I thought it was a really good experience. I got a cut and color and not only did the stylist Allyson listen to me, she had a list of questions to make sure she AND I knew what I wanted to achieve. It was achieved, along with a fine cup of coffee and a wonderful head massage while getting a shampoo, a touch I always appreciate.
They have some fine jewelry for sale too that I have a feeling I will be back to see soon.
