This place really does smell of urine. And put the damn AC on. If you’re a fan of karaōke, and also like having your name skipped when the KJ’s friends come in, allowing the friends to sing with you when it’s your turn, then this is the place for you.

Often smells like urine, let me get that out of the way before you read anything else. That’s not an opinion of service or scenery, it straight up smells like urine in there. So, while it’s a pretty down to Earth spot off of the square, it is not a place I plan on ever frequenting again given the abundance of better options in the area. My first experience there was a quick one on a hot night when they refused to turn the AC on. My final experience here was on a karaōke night which paled in comparison to Walt’s Inn. The KJ at NcDevins would sing unclaimed songs rather than simply going on to the next song. It got old. Didn’t help when the KJ skipped requests in favor of his buddies. When one of my friends went up to sing, the KJ gave the second mic to his girlfriend, rude. Smelled like urine on this night too. I’ve been to worse bars in the area hence the 2 stars, but I won’t be returning. Especially learning that this is a Steelers bar. Go Ravens!

This bar is very unpretentious and in the middle of a neighborhood in Highlandtown/Canton. It’s good for a couple beers while watching a game.

So when I first found this place they had the Wailua but that only lasted about a minute. I’ve been back here quite a few times since though. They always have specials, trivia, comedy night, chili cookoffs and that Golden Tee game that some knuckleheads seem to love. It’s a Steeler’s bar so if you come here on a Sunday be prepared to have a packed house of Steeler Nation. When Pittsburgh scores I can hear the cowbell from my back porch. The bar staff is friendly and helpful and this place is usually pretty laid back. It’s a nice bar to have on my corner. No complaints here.

So I live right around the corner and go here about every other week with friends. The food is just ok and the bartenders make the drinks differently. The crowd is cool and so is the owner which is why we go back.

There is a bit of an identity crisis in Canton and Nc Devins is no exception. Whether you’re a Yuppie or Blue Collar, you can easily feel at home in this bar. The bartenders are great and they even have a decent jukebox. Wednesday nights are reserved for trivia and Saturday nights for karaōke. They offer decent pub food consisting of all the classic sandwiches, burgers and appetizers you can think of. During football season this is the only steelers bar that I know of in Baltimore. So, if you’re a steelers fan, believe me, this is where you want to be on football Sundays.
