I used to dine here often when I lived here a few years back. Now that I’m back in town this was the first place I ate at. I brought my husband and he loved it. It’s good breakfast with decent time service. The food comes out quick, but because the place is small and can be busy the waitresses aren’t always able to keep up with refills and order changes. I had a breakfast sandwich to go and it was perfect. Greasy and good. Oh and they have turkey sausage which many breakfast places don’t have.

One of my favorite places in the city for breakfast. If you want your French toast to have captain crunch in it and be delivered to you with a song, you’re in the wrong place. But if you like great diner breakfasts, hot coffee and nice people, then take a seat. Cool? Cool. Eat the breakfast bowl. Drink the coffee. Don’t get fancy.

For what it is… Jimmy’s is the BEST! Perfect place for a cheap, diner breakfast. Jimmy’s is very unassuming from the outside, but when you walk in it is a hustling and bustling place that is always pleasantly full on a Saturday or Sunday morning for breakfast/brunch. Just walk in and wait for someone to flag you down and they will seat you somewhere. It is very casual. The service is always spot on and quick. And the food is even faster to come out. We are usually in and out in 30 minutes and just $ 20 total for breakfast for two, including tip! Our favorites: Breakfast bowl — is awesome! It is a bowl of hash browns, eggs(get them scrambled), meat(I get sausage) and cheese and there might be peppers and onions in there too… it is always on point. Fried Chicken and Eggs — comes with hash browns, this dish is delicious and my fiancé’s favorite. I was never a chicken for breakfast person but throw some syrup on it and it is delicious. Pancakes — your normal pancakes but I love them. I usually the big breakfast with pancakes eggs and sausage. Also, in the fall they have pumpkin pancakes and they are THEBOMB! I can’t wait till next year to get them again! Yum. Hash browns — worth noting that they are awesome. Coffee — also worth noting that it is actually pretty good here! And they are quick to refill your cup. Like I said before, we will order two of the above meals, a coffee and our total including tip is $ 20! It is amazing and perfect for the weekends when you don’t want to make your own breakfast but you also don’t want to break the bank. We brought another couple with us this past weekend, the four of us our total was $ 32(before tip)… and they loved it. Enough said.

We have come to Jimmy’s many times and enjoyed the food. We will never be back. This past weekend, we arrived pretty early, before the breakfast rush. As we were waiting for people ahead of us to be seated, we witnessed an older man with grey hair(appeared to be in charge/manager) yell at one of the waitresses(whom we have had many times wait on us and is excellent) in her face. We were able to overhear him near the door, he used the«F» word and told her to «never F****ing» do something again(she was trying to help the hostess and seat tables) and then stated«and NO i will NOT get out of your face». We left immediately. I don’t care how good your food is– I will not eat somewhere where you treat your staff this badly. It’s just a diner– we had the same breakfast with a better atmosphere just around the corner. Will never be back.

Well its been some years since I have been to JIMMY’s, and then the food was goodTHEN.(dine in). Today because I am working, I decided to do carry out, and that was a bad choice. Food was cold, very unattractive to me anyhow, portions was mediocre, and it was a tasteless ugly breakfast. Now, I know this is not a five star restaurant but they did not put any effort to make my food look neat! It looked sloppy! And dry! I paid for extra bacon and i received bacon bits! The eggs were grey, flat and cold, the cheese was sprinkled on the eggs. The potatoes are over cooked some where inedible because they were so hard. I will not be going again. I was really disappointed in Jimmy’s it used to be so good!

Good for quick, cheap, no-frills breakfast food in Fells Point. The pancakes are excellent. The spinach and feta omelette was nothing special, but then again, it’s an omelette. It filled me up and was definitely not bad, seeing as I ate the whole thing. Servers are nice, and they were able to accommodate a large group.

Great diner food for a good price. Atmosphere is authentic and bustling. We had a mixup in or order due to one of our party leaving unexpectedly, and it took a while to get our waiters attention, but once we did it was quickly straightened out.

Fells Point classic diner and go to brunch place. Good food, nothing fancy, but especially great for the cheap price. Bmore culture, representative Bmore natives, and feels like home — one of my monthly to weekly go to’s. Pumpkin pancakes near Halloween. Jimmy is always keeping a lookout. Loud and friendly place at any time.

Very great people staff and food, I went for breakfast around 7:15 and wasn’t disappointed. Spent about 10 dollars on the steak eggs and home Fries and was surprised to get a above average steak for this cheap. I haven’t been in the evening but breakfast went beyond my expectation. Recommending this place for anyone looking for good service and food early in the morning

Great food!!! This was our first time here, found this from a Unilocal search. Excellent prices and great food… oh I already said that. The owner talked and joked with us as we waited and ate, great guy. We sat at the bar top area as there was no wait there on a busy Sunday morning. All the staff were very friendly and provided aome recommendations, which we ordered and loved(texas toast sandwich with bacon, egg & cheese, pancakes and the chicken philly cheesesteak sandwich). We we not disappointed with anything. We will definitely be back again to Jimmys and to say hi to Jimmy! Thanks!!! 5

Jimmy’s has won the crown for my new favorite greasy spoon in Baltimore. It’s a terrible shame that it took me so long to finally get to Jimmy’s and I have no explanation as to why. I’ve heard from so many people how great this place is. I finally made it this weekend after a long night out before a study session around the corner. We arrived just in time. The hand full of open tables filled up quickly after we sat. If you are a twosome, expect to get intimate. In true diner style, most of the two-tops are four-tops with a small barrier wall down the center making two two-tops. The menu is a decent size for a diner. Not as large as some of the huge stand alone diners but much bigger than Sip and Bite and some others. I had the Hungry Man breakfast: 2 eggs, 3 pancakes, bacon, sausage, and scrapple. Everything was perfect. I wouldn’t try to improve on a single thing about the meal. The bacon was crispy. The sausage came as two huge extremely juicy links… no tiny frozen patties that I find in a lot of greasy spoons. I don’t usually like scrapple but Jimmy’s was delicious. My eggs were done just as I ordered them. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, not at all dry. The service was efficient, quick, and knowledgable but lacked personality and friendliness. Our waitress clearly had many other places she’d rather be. My only criticism was the coffee. It could definitely have been better. It lacked flavor and strength, tasting a little watered down. Overall Jimmy’s is definitely a diner you want to check out if you’re in the area and also worth travelling past many of Baltimore various greasy spoons to get to. I can’t imagine a better beginning to a Sunday Funday around the water!

S’alright, s’okay! A Baltimore legend, where you’ll find a nice mix of folks that represent a decent cross section of Baltimore’s populace. All day breakfast is always a good thing, so props for that. My gal and I went this morning, with a thin layer of ice covering many local walkways and some streets. Not a big crowd, and so our service was teddy before us. I had the egg platter, opting for bacon, tater tots(nice to have a couple alternatives to the usual home fries) and rye toast. The bacon was nice and crispy, as ordered, but the cardinal sin of an already broken egg yoke was transgressed. That’s a major penalty in the book of this egg dunker! The tater tots were plain Jane, with no topping or seasoning. The lady ordered grits with cheese and bacon, and was not impressed. Coffee was what you’d expect of a non-gourmet place, and prices were fine.

I finally tried out Jimmy’s for lunch one day with some co-workers when we’d all been craving«brunch.» One of my co-workers got a philly cheesesteak omelette, which he raved about and I’m pretty sure he almost always orders when he heads to Jimmy’s. Another co-worker got a breakfast platter, which also looked pretty delicious. I personally ordered their tator tot special, which was tots covered in pulled pork and cheese. It was delicious and pretty much tasted exactly how you’d expect based on that description. Jimmy’s does standard diner fare solidly well. Don’t go here expected anything to amaze you or for any sort of customer service. But I would recommend it for any time your craving some greasy breakfast fare.

This restaurant has won many awards and accolades for their breakfast food. And now that I’ve eaten here, I can see why. After all this time, I’m disappointed that I hadn’t discovered Jimmy’s sooner. Everything is done to perfection… their pancakes put new meaning to light and fluffy, the sausage link are perfectly medium well that burst when you bite it. The bread was the freshest baked. All the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Service was friendly and down home. Prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere was perfect for this type of establishment. Open early at 5am. Easily a thumbs up thumbs up… two thumbs up!

Great diner! I love Sip and bite, but tried Jimmy’s for the first time on a Tuesday morning. It was 745 am and it was full of shift workers, so you know its a good place. We sat right down. The food came fast and was hot. Waitresses were really nice. What more could you ask for in a diner?
