So the owner works from opening to close. He stays open late and is widely known for their pizzas! Apparently the fells point area at night is primarily the spot for motorcyclist and night owls. This place is very welcoming to all! The food is amazing, pizza slices are fresh and large! Customer service is friendly! Love coming here!

Really cheap & fast for breakfast or lunch. The service is much better than Vikki’s, I should have tried it sooner.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Love it… I wish I could get here more often. When you walk in you are instantly greeted, food comes out in 10 minutes or less. Wonderful business I hope never goes away.

Came here with my family when I was visiting. It’s a cute little place really good if you’re looking to pick something up really quick to eat. The service is impeccable and you feel a part of the little family there. It’s small but the good, intimate small. I had the cheesesteak which was really tasty and not too heavy. Was able to put old bay on my fries and it was all smooth sailing from there as I washed everything down with a half and half(Arnold Palmer if you’re feeling fancy) so if you’re ever around and need a quick fix of food and awesome hospitality, make your way over here.

Like all others before me, I love this place. It is unassuming and no frills and inside a food market, so a bit tricky to find. But it’s worth seeking out! Food comes out fast, Barb makes the best coffee and there is a great selection of breakfast foods, omelettes, French toast, yum, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, wraps… And hands down, The BEST home fries ever!!! We ordered seconds and I am considering coming to Baltimore more often just for home fries. There is a home cooked feel to all this food and it is truly delicious.

We were in the area and wanted breakfast, but to our shock and horror, Jimmy’s(our usual to-go spot) was closed due to a power/water outage(I forget which). Hubs did NOT want to go to Blue Moon(and I can’t say that I blame him, honestly) — what to do? I Unilocaled to find the closest breakfast joint, and up popped Joann’s Kitchen — so I said what the hey, let’s give it a shot, the reviews are great. And they didn’t lead me wrong. To my surprise, Joann’s turned out to be in the same place where I had once worked in a bakery that had been there in the 90’s, and I knew the exact layout of the space. The register is probably in the same spot that I had whipped up pastries 20-odd years ago. Weirdness. Anyhow, we had a seat in the generously-spaced dining area and perused the menu, which is extensive. We decided on simple breakfast fare — eggs, meat, toast, pancakes. Yes, I know, boring, but sometimes the gauge of a good breakfast place is its simplest offerings. And Joann’s did not disappoint in this regard. The omelette that I ordered was generously sized, fluffy in appearance, and delicious in taste. The coffee was particularly good, too. I’m used to bad or inadequate coffee, so when I find a place that has good Joe, I don’t forget it too easily. Add in the daily papers, current magazines, and a few crusty Baltimore-born regulars, and you have a place that I’ll be sure to come back to again and again. The staff were also very sweet, making much of my newborn daughter(we’re used to that, but it was still quite a touching thing to see). :) Prices were VERY reasonable. I don’t think it was more than 15 dollars for two. One tip: they have both breakfast and lunch menus on the tables when you come in, so if you want breakfast items, make sure you’re looking at the right menu. That threw me a little bit at first. The Korean-themed items tempt me greatly. I’ll have to try them when we visit again. I think Jimmy’s just got knocked off of its throne for best breakfast in Fells. It’s certainly no longer the cheapest option, that’s for sure. I LOVE the fact that the local«natives» flock here. As one of the few Baltimore natives that seem to be left in this town, that’s important to me. Parking is dismal, but it’s Fells, so it’s to be expected. Very much recommended.

What a cute little diner! I had no idea it even existed until my friends and I stumbled upon it while we were trying to find a place for brunch that didn’t have a +1 hour wait. It’s a very unassuming place but the food is well worth the price! I got a breakfast sandwich for a mere $ 3! Where in Baltimore can you get that kind of deal? Their home fries are really good too — they were more like hash browns than your typical home fries but they were cheap and delicious! They also serve breakfast all day long so you don’t have to worry about missing it. They also have a lunch menu with sandwiches and a special Korean menu that I will have to come back and try sometime!

I’ve only been here for breakfast, but it is BOMB! There’s one older lady who’s the only waitress I’ve ever seen. She’s super sweet and friendly, and you know she’s been there forever, because she remembers her regulars, their orders, and how they like their coffee. And in this day and age, when do you get waitresses like that anymore? Their breakfast is SOCHEAP!!! A lot of options, and you must try their home fries. They’re seriously the best home fries I have ever had. Their blueberry pancake is also very yummy, buttery, and made with fresh blueberries. Their service is also super fast. You can call ahead to pick up orders. If you want a fast, friendly, home cooked, and cheap all-American breakfast, you have to try this place out.

I’ve only eaten here twice, but I think salt-of-the-earth people go here. They remind me of the guys in Cheers. They all seem to know each other, they rib each other and they hear everything. Once, I went to pay for my scrapple sandwich only to find someone had already paid it for me! Anonymously! I can’t speak for the rest of their menu, but not everyone knows how to do scrapple. This place gets it right.

I had their beef bibimbap which was so good! It’s kind of like a food court, so don’t expect anything fancy. The only thing I didn’t like is that they put the spicy sauce on top of the food for you, so it’s a little harder to adjust the amount of spiciness. I wish they would put it in a little container on the side. But otherwise, I love this place.

Cheap, quick, satisfying, and a good portion. All qualities that I like in a breakfast spot. Joann’s isn’t much more than a stand inside the larger market building, but much to our surprise, it was pretty busy on a Sunday morning. While I read that it is a Korean breakfast sort of spot, I just went with the normal pancake, eggs and bacon. Order at the counter and they call your name when it’s done. Pretty simple. As I said, the food was good and the portions were filling. It appears the breakfast options are a bit lacking in this part of Baltimore, so if you’re up early and you want a quick fix, this is your spot.

For an unassuming diner counter in the broadway market — this place really blew me away. The concept of Lucia’s Joann kitchen is it’s a mom and pop style diner that serves all American Baltimore fare(think Cheesefish sub — that’s fried fish topped with cheese) and Korean food. Kind of an odd combination — but it really works. The Bi Bim Bap is what keeps me coming back. On a cold day, this really hits the spot. rice, sprouts, meat, vegies, hot sauce all topped with a fried egg — yum. It comes out fast, the price is unbeatable. Instructions for eating the Bi Bim Bap. First timers — get the beef with an egg over easy on top with hot sauce. Suck it up — it really adds to the dish — get it on the side if you must. When it comes, since this is your first time, try each separate item to get an idea of the taste. It’s all pretty good, but that’s no way to eat Bi Bim Bap. Take your chop sticks(or fork — no judgment here) pierce the egg, and then, because Bi Bim Bap translates to «Mixed Rice», stir the whole mess up. Try again — how amazing is that. Sure — «next time» I’ll try to cheese fish… but not really, since by the time I’m done writing this, I’m craving another Bi Bim Bap! A word about the staff. It doesn’t matter if you’re working construction, a cop, or show up in a tie — you’re treated warmly by these very busy matrons who do seem to be all about the food and customers. I would say its a hidden gem — but it gets pretty busy, so it’s just a gem.

I have been coming to this place now in the Fells Market area for a few months now. This is the diner that is located on the other end opposite of Vickie’s. I must say that I thoroughly enjoy this place. Is it the best food your going to get? No. Is it good, fast and inexpensive? Absolutely. The service is fast and mostly friendly, when the to ladies at the counter have time to talk, of course. I have a bunch of menu items here but mostly breakfast stuff. My wife loves the fact that you can get half servings of hash browns, which for her is perfect. I absolutely love the bimbimbap. It’s perfect for hangovers and is pretty filling. It has rice, home made sweet potato noodles, veggies, beef, chicken or more veggies with a egg on top. It also has fish sauce and a spicy thai paste or something on top. It is awesome. I Highly recommend it. If you are in the area and the lines are long or there are long waits at all the over rated restaurants in Fells, swing in here and grab a quick bite on the cheap and put that extra money back in your pocket to help achieve that hangover the next day!

What I had: beef(bulgogi) Bibimbab. The most famous(arguable) dish of Korea, it has a great balance of foods; carbs, protein, oils/fats and Vegas(hard to get around in the states :)) Word of warning, they make it somewhat spicy, so if you can’t handle heat, say you don’t want any chilli paste. The paste is sugar and chili flakes. Opinion: they asked me how I wanted my egg, traditionally they give it sunny side up. You don’t do poached. Scrambled is ok too! They also put some potato noodle in it(jjapchae, another Korean dish) Tastes great, I’m Korean and I love a homely kinda comfort food style Korean food. You’re getting the deal here and the price is reasonable.

I’ve only been here for the beef bimbibap and I love it! It’s my current obsession for lunch during work. It’s around $ 7 for a bowl and $ 1 for extra meat. It’s definitely worth the money especially since the ‘Green Bowl Truck’ tries to charge you $ 12 for a smaller bowl. Here, each bowl includes your choice of meat, carrots, an egg, cucumbers, onions, rice, bean sprouts, noodles, etc. You are guaranteed to be full whether you are a guy or girl. The bimbibap here is more authentic and the hot sauce they use is the bomb. The Green Bowl is missing a lot of the flavor that comes with bimbibap and therefore is trash for $ 12. Don’t waste your time there and take the extra steps to the market and stop by Lucia’s!

Methinks I must be an easy reviewer… so many 4’s! I went to Joann’s Kitchen after doing a Unilocal search on blueberry pancakes(had a hankerin’), and verifying that they offer breakfast all day. Took the mile and a third walk from my place on the east side of Patterson Park on the beautiful Spring day, and moseyed on in around 1PM for my breakfast-lunch. Despite noting that the next guy down at the counter was digging into his bowl of bimbimbap with gusto, I stuck to my guns and ordered the blueberry pancakes with crispy bacon. The pancakes were a solid 4 stars out of 5, and quite possibly the most heavily loaded with blueberries that I’ve EVER had. I asked for extra butter and had them sans the syrup. The bacon serving was four slices, so a plus for portion size, sufficiently crispy, and pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but plenty good enough. Also had the coffee, which is typically a hit-or-miss with places that don’t specialize in coffee, and I’d rate it as merely okay. They put the cream in for you, whereas I prefer the«do it yourself» method so as to make sure it has the desired creaminess. In this case, they put too much in. LOVED the older woman who served me, who was a smiling, kindly, warm sort that puts the charm in Charm City. She was they type that made you feel like you were a regular. The food prep time was lickety-split, and the pancakes came out piping hot. Once all the stuff was added up the meal came out to a higher price than I’d have expected, being that the pancakes alone are nice and cheap, but still far from exorbitant.

The atmosphere isn’t as grimy and dingy as I expected. It’s clean and well lit unlike most marketplaces. The French toast was soft and not too dry, it was surprisingly decent and priced right… don’t think I’d be happy if I paid more for it. Though I think an extra $ 2 for some frozen blueberries is a bit much I’d say give this place a shot, it’s no blue moon but it’ll do for a quick bite.

Like others, I stumbled across Joann’s Kitchen after seeing the huge line in front of Blue Moon Café. No amount of Captain Crunch French Toast was worth that wait for brunch. Unilocal quickly brought me to Joann’s Kitchen, which turned out to be a great find. The restaurant is located inside an indoor market space and I would not have found it without the help of Unilocal.Just like walking through Lexington Market for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to find a Korean-run diner in Fell’s Point. In additional to their breakfast and sandwich menu, they have a few Korean items such as Japchae and Bibimbap. I arrived at around noon on a Sunday and it was busy, but not packed. I was able to grab counter seating without much trouble. Beside counter seating, there is also a small area with 62-person tables. Service was efficient and my order was taken immediately. Joann’s Kitchen has a simple but comprehensive menu. I decided to go with the Webb 2.2.2, which included 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 pieces of bacon all for $ 5.45. I heard about their homefries, so I added a side of those for $ 2.50. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious without being too greasy or salty. The bacon was crispy, pancakes were fluffy and homefries had a perfect crunchy exterior balanced with a soft interior. You really can’t get a better breakfast for $ 10 including tip. Sure, you may not be able to order Captain Crunch French Toast, but for a simple no-frills breakfast, Joann’s Kitchen has what you need in spades. Service is friendly, efficient and costs are low. From what I could tell, their customer base consists mostly of locals, which says a lot to me. Anyone looking for breakfast or brunch in Fell’s Point should Joann’s Kitchen a try!
