Completely relies on it’s position in the inner harbor. Awful sushi. Not even good by grocery store standard. Usually old. Also overcharged us for dessert. We asked for a dessert on the menu and add a normal raw banana on the side, charged us for 6.95 banana dessert for a single raw banana.

I order the miso soup w the Maryland crabcake sushi nothing over the top it’s an ok restaurant. I feel like you can go to a Chinese restaurant for cheaper price & same quality food.

I love this place. I have only had a few things here but they were yummy. I have had the volcano roll twice here. I live in New York so I had been craving this for a long time. My fiancé had the roll topped with eel. It was decent. The seaweed salad looks amazing and another patron said it was great. Also had the bento box. All good. I’ll be honest, the first time we came there we thought it looked a bit hike in the wallish, kinda like they were trying to be fancy but failed miserably. We sat outside. The view was amazing!

Arrived to a host who was listening to an iPod with headphones. Seated at a sushi bar that was greasy and left with used sake cups and crumpled trash from customers before me(that was never noticed or cleared away). The server was literally swearing at the bar and talking to friends about his personal life while I waited to put in my order. No one welcomed me. No one recommended anything. No one smiled. Management is either absent or simply doesnt care. Food was average. And by average, I mean not good — especially given the overpriced menu. The shame of it all is that this place could be so successfull. There aren’t that many good sushi options in the inner harbor area of Baltimore. And the view from this restaurant is beautiful — offering an amazing panorama of the entire harbor from both indoor and outdoor seating. I won’t ever see this place again… except perhaps on an episode of «Restaurant: Impossible»

The sushi was nothing short of underwhelming, even if the wasabi was unbelievably fresh. Between the sushi chefs arguing through my meal, the low sodium soy sauce or the painfully slow service, I can’t settle on a reason why I won’t be back.

The sushi is decent. The location is spectacular. You can sit outside on the terrace or inside with a window view of the harbor. It is lovely! It’s a great place for a date if you are in the area and craving sushi. But this place does get packed so you might have to wait to be seated on the weekend nights.

Amazing California roll, very fresh, and fried calamari, so light and appetizing. Overlooks the waterfront, and the waitress was adorable and accommodating. Def a do-over.

Anytime we come to Baltimore this is a must for us. The dumplings are amazing and we always get the Harbor Maki which is incredible! The crab and citrus taste of the rolls are perfect. A must try when in Baltimore!

I died and want to buried here! Long time I really don’t have a great and original sushi. Everything it was perfect, from the service to the food. Now I barely can’t go other restaurants bc I keep coming back here

Great location … so, so shushi. I have to say one of the redeeming qualities of this place were the drinks. My company had a small get together here for their buyers and the drinks were flowing. I stuck to the lychee martini and it was so light, delicate and flavorful. This is where the good review ends. We had several appetizers and they were ok but not great. The tempura was undercooked, the edamame arrived cold, and the dumplings were also cold and not a good dough to meat ratio. The eel was just average but underwhelming. The sweet potato sushi, like the tempura, was undercooked. The cucumber rolls were not fresh(or did not taste fresh). I gave up trying what we had at that point. Good after work, drink meet-up location.

Situated in a mall on the Inner Harbor, Edo Sushi has some of the best views of the water you can get. While the outdoor seating was all filled up, we were seated indoors by the glass overlooking the dragon paddleboats. It was a beautiful night in Baltimore, Maryland following the Baltimore Comic Con. My last visit was on the final day of Otakon 3 years ago and I remember having a good time then. We were seated right away and put in our orders for water while we checked out their specialty drink options. We ordered our specialty sushi rolls which were pretty much combos of the sushi rolls we typically order(eel avocado, spicy tuna, salmon, shrimp tempura). The rolls were a great size(as in, I had a hard time fitting a roll in my mouth), 8 pieces and had some of the freshest fish I’ve had in sushi in a long time. Definitely worth the price! The fruity drinks ordered were tasty but not very strong in alcohol. The service was great. The water refill didn’t come until we were already leaving but the food and drinks came out in a timely manner that we didn’t need the refill. Our server was friendly and did provide warm towels after our meal. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Otakon convention tradition: Edo Sushi. It’s no secret that a good meal here isn’t cheap; you’re eating in the city. Staff is decent at handling a crowd. Started this year with a Philly roll, which was delicious with great flavor. Our group traditionally gets Beef Negimaki, which was delicious with a huge portion as always. The pre-meal Miso soup had lots of tofu with good flavor. Has a good amount of seating as the location does not look that large. Large selection of Sake and Japanese Beer. During my next visit I started the meal with a Spicy Tuna roll. It is probably the darkest Spicy Tuna I’ve ever seen. The flavor was very subtle, not being spicy at first and later giving a nice kick. They have a significant amount of patio seating and this is where we were seated for this visit.

Holy overpriced rolls, Batman! No really guys, what’s going on here? Are the fish in this sushi humanely executed or something? I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend, and we both were really looking forward to a roll or two a piece. Haha, silly me. At $ 15 — $ 18 dollars a roll, I was stunned at the lack of magical creatures on the menu. I ordered the volcano roll for us to share, which is served sitting down on cucumber slices & not the easiest to eat. I also ordered a roll that contained shrimp tempura, and was topped with soft crab… that was all this roll had going on… and it was $ 16. I ordered a small shitake mushroom roll as well thinking that it would help fill me up, but it was not appetizing. It tasted like pickled, jarred shitake and the mushrooms were slimy, not tot mention a very creepy purple-brown color. I cannot speak for what my friend ordered, however our tab was over $ 60 dollars for two regualr rolls, a small filler roll and the volcano roll. We even had water.

We had just checked into our hotel in Baltimore’s inner harbor and meandered down to the shops and restaurants near the water for some eats. It was already 9PM on a Saturday and we didn’t feel like walking far. Our daughter was in the mood for sushi, so we headed to Edo Sushi which is conveniently located in the small shopping mall. The place was teeming with patrons and we could hear the hustle and bustle of the kitchen as we walked in. We were seated promptly outside with a view of the harbor which made our experience even better given the cool summer evening. Our server was very attentive and polite, so kudos to the staff. We ordered: — Spicy tuna sushi(artfully shaped in hearts) — Eel rolls — Beef udon(the beef was way tender and the egg was a nice touch) — Miso soup In short: great food coupled with great service to top it off!

Ehhh. Bento box was nothing to brag about. The sushi had too much rice, the nigiri wasn’t that fresh, the chicken tasted like a sponge with microwave dinner sauce, and the sashimi was OK. The buckwheat noodles were pretty legit, but they didn’t have much flavor to them. The service was sub par. We asked the waiter if the seaweed salad had dressing, and he said, ‘of course, it comes in pre-packaged EVERYwhere you go.’ Negative, sir, and you just proved the unfreshness yourself. In conclusion… way too expensive for the quality and caliber of service. The outdoor seating looks pleasant, though!

Some of the best fresh sushi I’ve had in a long time. THIS is how sushi should taste. The staff was quick and very friendly. They even bring you a hot towel before and after your meal just like being in first class on a flight. The drinks were very generous, the sushi was plenty and filling. What I really loved was the Volcano rolls that came out like frogs on individual lily pads in a pond(sliced cucumbers). Very cute and creative. My friend and I sat at the sushi bar to watch them prepare the food. When we turned around we had a beautiful view of the inner harbor(since that’s where this is located), right between the World Trade Center and Aquarium. I’ll definitely come back when I make my drive up to Baltimore from DC :-)

The short story? Pricier than you expect, the sushi/sashimi is fairly good, and it all seems worth it when you have a view over the water on a perfect Spring Baltimore afternoon. Great service. The long(er) story: When? A Saturday afternoon in April. With? Two colleagues. Why? Ravenously hungry after a conference at the nearby Marriott(see review), and in dire need of sustenance before attempting some paddle-boating. We had: miso soup, tuna tartare, salmon and tuna sashimi, eel maki, seared tuna, seaweed salad, Our waitress was endearingly passionate about the cocktails(«no, I really don’t need to drink right now… yes, that does sound delicious… oh, only $ 10… no, honestly, I’m fine… yes, thank you, just water for the moment… we may try the martini later… no need to bring it now, thank you, we’ll let you know… yes, it looks very pretty…» etc) and just attentive enough without bugging us every five minutes. The tuna tartare was meant to be an appetizer for one, but we had to split it three ways to finish it – HUGE portion(could be a single person’s entrée) and really tasty. The seared tuna was ok, as were the miso soup and seaweed salad. The salmon sashimi was WONDERFUL. Really fresh, melt-in-your-mouth, perfect texture, albeit the portions were quite small(thankfully, we’d ordered two of them). I don’t remember the tuna sashimi(although the pictures I took — see photos — remind me that it arrived beautifully arranged) because the sun suddenly came out, and all I could do was stare at the view. Really, I think that’s why Edo Sushi gets away with charging the prices in its menu. Both the seared tuna and tuna tartare were $ 14.95; it was worth it for the tartare, but not for the tiny portion of seared tuna. The eel rolls were about $ 7.50, sashimi were $ 6 each, and the seaweed salad was just under $ 10. They don’t do special lunch prices on Saturdays and Sundays, so our ‘quick sushi lunch’ turned into a bigger and pricier event. But the view… …the view of the Inner Harbour is truly gorgeous. Edo Sushi have some PRIME real estate, and it’s worth spending a good hour here, just to savour the view with a delicious cocktail(the cocktails look almost as good as the view). Would come back again(for drinks). Would recommend to a friend(with time and a bigger wallet). Will remember the view with a smile.

To be honest, the view is really the only reason to come here and believe me, you’ll be paying to see it. The sushi itself is just ok but loads better than their non-sushi items; so the hefty price tag is surely going to pay rent for their prime location. First, I should note that the staff here is very nice and the service attentive. It’s also worth throwing it out there that they are all Chinese. Now don’t get me wrong, I am part Chinese as well — so I’m not hating on my peoples. But experience(and my Chinese mother/Filipino father) has taught me, far more often than not, that Japanese food made by any other culture is not as good. This is a prime example of that. Their Special Makis are not much different than most other places; so don’t come here expecting to find a roll that is purely unique to Edo. I’ve also found that the quality does vary from time to time. Their entrees were less than stellar. Their teriyaki sauce was watery while the udon broth was too fishy. A good broth is meant to be light with a subtle flavor. This seafood broth seemed to smack you in the face harder the more you ate. Overall, I’ve had enjoyable weekday lunches here on occasion — they have reasonably priced lunch specials, food that is doable and good service. I don’t recommend going any other time so as not to feel too let down.

$ 3 sake for happy hour is the only reason to ever go here. The sushi I have had here, California and Cucumber(the most basic rolls in the world) were not good. :(
