2 ½ stars people? C’mon! This place has live banda, they keep the beers coming, bomb mariscos, and at affordable prices! Enough said!

First time here with the BF this past weekend with a group of friends. This place is huge, has plenty of seats with live music on weekends, alcohol and fresh seafood. This is great for big parties if you want to throw one here. Order their oysters! They are so good. BOMB.COM!!! I was full from having a late lunch and I still ate some! The oysters were big and fresh. It was topped with some fresh tomato salsa and it has a kick of spiciness to it. VERYGOOD! would recommend this dish. Bacon wrapped shrimp was very good also. It was cooked a little burnt on the outside because of the bacon its ok, thats what makes the bacon crispy. Once you bite into the shrimp, its cooked perfectly! Comes with this hot salsa sauce that gives it the right kick to the shrimp. Comes with tortilla, rice, beans and salad. Mango marguerita was a little bit strong for my taste. But my BF who doesn’t drink often says its good but only finish half of it. Its pretty good and price for it was affordable. My other friend ordered grilled fish and it tasted very good also. Fish was fresh and season very well. It was not too salty. We would come back again when we feel like some good seafood.

Was excited to come here for the first time because I heard about the great service. WRONG! especially if you have a waitress named NAYELI! Definitely check your receipt twice! She charged our WHOLE table wrong! Including overcharging! because of the music we paid it but I’ll definitely be calling her manager to complain about her service and attitude as we ordered!

Good music but damn they’re prices are extremely high! $ 6 for a coke and $ 5 for water SERIOUSLY!!! I’ve had better Mariscos for a more reasonable price. This place is all hype.

Usually come here about 1 – 2 times per month to hear the Banda play. I would have given a 4 star if it weren’t for the drinks. Specialty Drinks are $ 10.99 and up, most of the time they are watered down. Piña Colada Taste like a smoothie. Music is great and the food is pricey but its good.

Besides getting bad service Friday afternoon, it turned out to be the most expensive«tostada mixta» not only did I end up at the urgent care with food poisoning but so did my sister after eating my leftovers. Never coming back here. Deserves no stars

Our visit here was a result of witnessing the tremendously long line at Unilocal’s «most reviewed» place in the area(Mariscos Martin) and deciding we’d better try to a «not as popular» place. So off we go, further down the list, Mariscos Uruapan. As we are walking in, a thought crosses my mind, «please don’t let there be a loud Mexican banda playing.» I walk in … guess what? LOUD Mexican Banda! Ayy, what is it with my people and needing a drum blasting in our ears while we are trying to enjoy a meal? Lol. Alright, so the banda had a stage, and were far enough away that my food wasn’t vibrating from the sounds. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Mexican music, I just don’t appreciate it as much when it’s right next to me on a Sunday morning, when all I want to do is enjoy my food. Just sayin’. We are seated immediately and the waitress takes our drink orders. I ordered the horchata which met my standards. The chips and salsa were good as well. I open the menu … I start seeing all these seemingly HUGE numbers. Huge for a hole-in-the-wall mariscos place anyway. I’m like, WHAT? $ 6 for a DRINK?! I’m no cheapskate but that’s like double what you’d pay at Fleming’s or some other high-end place! The small shrimp cocktail was priced at $ 15! What, what? I usually pay $ 9.99 for a large. This large shrimp cocktail was double that, at $ 19.99!!! I kid you not, I looked around the restaurant to see if anyone else was as flabbergasted as I was by the prices on the menu! Nope — everyone looked calm! I started to question whether I’d entered the twilight zone. So after a bit of sweating, I finally went with the SMALL shrimp cocktail, my husband had the same. It wasn’t long before our food arrived, minus our kid’s taco order, which was also a whopping $ 12 or something crazy like that. Surprisingly, the cocktails were delicious, crazy SMALL, but delicious. Definitely not worth $ 16! I think mine had a total of 5 shrimp in it. So we’re done with our food, and our kids still do not have theirs. We wave the waitress down and a good 30 minutes after we’d finished, the mediocre looking kid’s taco plate arrives. Our whopping total for 2SMALL Shrimp Cocktails, 1 Kid’s Taco Plate, 2 Horchatas, 1 Michelada … $ 60 bucks! The strange thing was, that when the check arrived, the prices were different than what was on the menu. The kid’s plate was $ 7.99, our cocktail was $ 12.99, and the drinks were $ 3.99. This information would have spared me the minor freak-out I had at the beginning of our visit. Overall, I probably won’t be returning. Not sure, maybe if I leave the kids at home and I order water and I win the lotto. –_–

Great food, great music and good times! My first time here and I’m for sure coming back! I’m not sure what the bad reviews are about but can honestly say it a great place to enjoy on a Friday night! Oh Ya, the waters are a little bit pricy. 5 dollars each one, I recommend ordering a beer or drink instead lol.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to the waiter named Ana was pretty rude and the place is so loud you could not hear the person across from you! The prices a ridiculously high and it was the worst customer service I’ve ever had! Never coming back again! By the way a bottle of water is $ 5 I know we’re in a drought but that’s extremely expensive. One more thing I forgot to mention there was flies and one was even close to landing on my food!

What type of response is that to a customer… I translate that as Pls don’t eat here because we have a lot of flies in our food!

Came here when the buffet was almost over. It wasn’t very good. The enchiladas were okay. Micheladas weren’t that great either. Other than that, their service was good. Don’t think I’ll be coming back again.

Save your money and go somewhere else. Besides the over priced mediocre food, you will feel insulted when they charge you $ 5.00 for the cheapest bottled water there is. They charge you the price of 3 cases with one bottle. My wife and I paid $ 55 for 2 small meals and 2 bottles of water. This was the first time we’ve been there and we will definitely never be going back.

So last night was my birthday dinner here I love Banda and drinking so I was just right to come here. My friends(a couple) arrived first and got a table. We(my bf and I) arrived 20min later. At the door the security asked for the IDs as he was checking them I told him w had a table waiting. he was ride and said to wait. So a party of 4 and 2 skip in front of us. Then the other security(who patts guys down) was telling a waitress«a table for 2» I told him we had a table already!!! He looked confused ugh ! He said oh alright just go in !! That was 10mins wasted right there. We sit down order everything good. Fun time some hip hop and Banda that was a great mix. When they played las mananitas the waitress comes with a piece of cheesecake and a candle to my table ! my friend had planned ahead ! That was a nice gesture the waitress said happy birthday and was on point checking up on us. UNTILLTHECHECKCAME. That’s why am rating this 3stars the total for my bf and my food was $ 113.33. We gave her a card she came back with the paper to sign. And it says $ 133.33. $ 20 more! Idk if she thought I was drunk or something but I told her. I can tell she was embarrassed but at the same time Iam pretty sure they do this a lot to profit. That would be my only complain of the night… Will be coming here again but I’ll check my bill before paying

$ 10 for 2 bottled waters?! Yes they fancy up that water, a glass is served to you with ice, straw, lime wedge… and it’s now charged as about the price of a beer?! $ 5 bucks for first street water from smart and final. Don’t drink the water just stick to the beer, it’s cheaper. The michis were very tasty. They have a little less then half tomato juice which is better then other place how they swerve more than half. The other portion is free to pour in the beer. Sundays are ideal. There is a live band which is why it’s much more pricier then other competitors. Your payment is also going to help pay for that band, but then again that’s probably why it’s funner to be here versus other places. Ordering a cubeta(bucket of beer) is probably the best way to go since, it’s more beers to go around. A few hours here and you’ve gone through 3 – 4 cubetas later.

Fist time coming here. Everything was really good. And time was, it was just perfect. Food was great and staff were super friendly. Banda played a few corridos as we ate for a reasonable price. Great customer service and very professional. Worth coming back on a busy day.

Actually, this place is awesome. I got the carnitas dish with everything. Everything, like fat and a ton of terrible stuff. Basically, delicious. I lucked out because I went during the work day(playing hooky hah!) and the place was empty(4 tables taken, out of like 100) and no banda, which was a complaint with some reviews. Good food and pretty good service, although I’m pretty sure I doubled my body’s fat content in that one meal… So next time you want to be a fat-filled behemoth, come here and order the carnitas plate with everything, you won’t be disappointed(until your next doctor’s appointment!)

This place is amazing, it’s hard to find a good Mexican food but to find it in a buffet form makes it special. They have a great selection to pick from and make sure to walk up to the Lady making hand made tortillas, salad bar is awesome there’s about 50 different things to choose from and all made from scratch. When ever in the area make sure you stop and give them a try!

Live music, but it is WAY too loud and it’s hard to carry a conversation without having to scream at the other person. This place is very festive and has plenty of TV screens. When you walk in, you will see the bar to your left, usually they have their buffet on the right, then you will approach some tables and the band will be all the way in the back. PARKING: parking lot or street. Parking lot gets packed fast. Carpool if possible to avoid street parking. FOOD: love their chips and salsa. Sometimes the chips are on the greasy side but no big deal; just wipe it off with napkins. Food is great and portions are generous. I’ve tried, on different visits, Camarones al mojo de ajo(rice, veggies and shrimp with garlic sauce), salmon a la parrilla(veggies, baked potato, rice and salmon), campechana coctel, pescado sarandeado(rice, veggies, fish), langosta, and complimentary soup – delish. This place is definitely not an intimate, quite place to be having a meal. I would be back for their food minus the live music.
