I’ve been to the Argyle for brunch and dinner. Both times I received delicious food and friendly service. They also trap you into desert by bringing over a plater — you’ll spend your dough, but you won’t be disappointed!

Nice place to come for drinks and food. Enjoyed the tuna app. The watermelon martini was also good.

Came on a Friday with a girlfriend for happy hour. There were no seats at the bar so we sat at a booth within the bar area. Pros: great casual upscale pub environment. Our server was attentive and friendly and service was quick. Cons: We were disappointed to learn that we could not take advantage of the happy hour specials because we were not actually sitting at the bar. My friend ordered the lamb chops from the prefix menu which she enjoyed. I ordered what I think was called the whisky steak(came with two onion rings and a handful of potatoes) which was the perfect portion size for me, but half the slices of steak were chewy and had to be swallowed whole since I did not want to spit out. Will probably go back since enjoyed the service and atmosphere, but will not order steak.

Came here with my family on Easter. Ordered 3 appetizers, calamari was slightly undercooked but generous portion. Small Caesar salad, delicious scallop dish. As for the entrees: my mother ordered the filet mignon medium rare, it came out medium well. My father ordered the filet mignon medium rare, his came out medium well-nearly well done. My mother sent hers back, the second filet came out black and blue, ACTUALLY blue on the inside. So unacceptable. Especially when paying $ 40 for an piece of steak. The macadamia crusted Chilean sea bass was flavorless, I didn’t finish it. My brother dropped his fork, a bus boy asked if he would like another one, never returned with one. After 5 minutes I got up myself and took a fork from the service station that was literally 5 feet from our table. I looked around for a manager, to see the floor manager, man in a yellow button down, sitting down with his friends. He did not touch a single table in the dining room other than a twelve top of his friends, taking pictures with them at the table. He made eye contact with our table a few times, it was clear we were looking for someone to speak to. When an entrée has to be sent back, a manager should always either drop the new entrée at the table himself or check on the second entrée to ensure satisfaction. When we were finished, my mother asked for a box to wrap her food. The bus boy brought over a tin with NOCOVER. She folded the filet in the tin with no cover. Unbelievable. I eventually got up and spoke to a different manager, Will, who was very nice and understood my frustration. When spending nearly $ 300 for a dinner you choose to spend your holiday at, an experience like that is just unacceptable. Our server was sweet, I could tell he felt bad and just didn’t know how to fix what wasn’t really his fault anyway. Will never ever ever return. Absolute disaster.

Argyle has been a legacy in our family for years and today’s Easter Brunch proved exactly why. They not only had the signature brunch items included on the menu, but a few pleasant surprises. Always great service and the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion or any style.

I love eating here, especially on Sunday nights for the Prixe Fix dinner special. I order the sliced steak with mashed potatoes and spinach. Try the spinach and artichoke dip — it’s delicious!

This place is a go to spot in Babylon Village. Their happy hour is always busy. The drinks are great and the bartenders can definitely make you a drink. Most all of the food I’ve had there is delicious especially the steaks, sandwiches, Thai calamari, burgers etc. The food is great but it’s not gonna blow your socks off but it’s still good enough to have you return. It’s a bit pricey but the portions are pretty large.

We’ve been coming here for several years now and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious and well prepared and the service is attentive and friendly. Steaks are amazing! They also have quite a lively and unpretentious bar scene.

Somehow I live in Babylon, but only got to Argyle Grill for the first time a few weeks ago — and I’m so happy I did. This restaurant is perfect, from food selection to wait staff. The atmosphere is great and there’s a lot going on. My boyfriend and I were really in the mood for seafood, and the menu here gave us a lot of options. I ended up choosing the seared tuna. It came with wasabi mashed potatoes and an Asian slaw. The meal was outstanding. The tuna quality was top notch and it was seared beautifully. I was a little hesitant about the wasabi mashed potatoes but they were PERFECT; not too spicy at all and the slaw was delicious too. My boyfriend got the glazed salmon which was also really good. The calamari/shrimp appetizer was outrageous. The Asian flavors were spot on, and really it was a meal in itself. In addition to the calamari and shrimp there were some noodles and veggies at the bottom of the bowl. We got dessert to go — it was a chocolate pecan pie concoction and it was great too. I can’t wait to come back! P. S. The owners of Argyle Grill also own Barrique right across the street. Both are really great places.

Loud Crowd. One of the best places to experience all the flavors of mediocrity, combined with the sheer perfection of low quality service. For the fact that the Argyle is as popular as it is, one should be able to expect a level much higher than that which is achieved. I would love to be able to give a longer review however, I was simply unmoved by all aspects of dining. We sat in the front and I would imagine that the back is a more intimate setting but, i don’t think this would greatly improve my review; after all, it is supposed to be about the food and quality of such… If you want to spend this amount of money, I suggest getting better quality ingredients, and much friendlier service at another local spot. My particular waitress was vaguely disinterested and made me feel almost out of place…

I wish I could write separate reviews for the bar and the dining. The drinks are good(except the sangria – terrible – like strawberry soda. Their watermelon martinis are delicious. The food is less than mediocre. Overpriced, dry, just not good. They were very good about taking it off the bill once I said I didn’t want it. Too bad they didn’t check until my husband was finished eating.

Totally changed menue. Really sucks. Don’t waste your time or money The original menue had great steak and many choices. New menue is all small plate BS.

Great place for Sunday brunch. Had the bacon and cheddar sliders tobstart, then the eggs benedict. That, with a great tasting sangria for $ 4 and you can’t go wrong! I enjoyed the ambience, too.

I am giving you a poor review because of the way we were treated, NOT the food, which was excellent. We were there with two guests, seated rather quickly and served great… until it was time to go, or they decided it was time for us to go. First of all our waitress came over and was unhappy with the tip, saying SHE had to pay four dollars to something and was on the verge of tears. We understood there was a misunderstanding and we upped the tip. Then an army of staff began cleaning the table around us, one guy came over and put out our candle, and began taking the table cloths off. AREYOUPEOPLESERIOUS??? This is not the way you treat customers, weather you were happy with your tip or not, so I hope you got a look at my ass when I was leaving, because that’s the last you will see of it ever. By the way, its too bad because the grilled chicken and penne we ate was excellent. First class food, white trash service…

What a wonderful dinner we had tonight here at Argyle. The seared tuna was out of this world. The ceaser salads are awesome. I had the strip steak which was delicious. His out easier was outstanding as well.

Came here this past Saturday, and I’ve got to say overall I was impressed. –The place was pretty much packed, was able to snag a seat at the bar. Bartender was very attentive, his mixology game was pretty good(drinks were strong), made good recommendations(thanks for the Hurricane drink), and drinks were inexpensive. –After meeting a friend at the bar, we ordered some apps, and the food was above typical bar-quality. *Calamari accompanied by 3 dipping sauces-one being an Asian sauce, one was regular salsa, third was a yellow zesty sauce. Portions were beyond gracious *Sliders-2 decent sized burgers, packed with flavor *Fish tacos-they were ACTUALLY fish, not fried battered fish placed in tortillas – throughly enjoyed that This can easily become one of my favorite bars – maybe I’ll come back to dine in the back area.

Standard bar with a great martini selection. I had the watermelon martini which was strong yet not overpriced. Pretty crowded on a Saturday night but was still able to snag a seat at the bar. Cool spot if you’re in the area.

This is one of my favorite spots to visit when I’m in Babylon. The bartenders are good, and make fantastic chocolate martinis without grumbling(yeah so I’m high maintenance). They have juicy steaks and the service has never been horrible. Their wine list really impressed me, as it’s probably the best out of all the Babylon restaurants IMO. The bathrooms are super clean, which is always a good indicator of the restaurant itself. It’s a great place to have a date night or just hang at the bar and avoid the über pretentious Monsoon nearby.

My daughter and future son in law brought my son, husband and myself to this restaurant, which is local to their new apartment. It was a Sunday, and ten minutes after opening, the door remained locked. My daughter said the food here was great and worth the wait. I have a bad back and was uncomfortable standing, so I walked to the door and knocked. A young gentleman came to the door to open it. I kind of felt like we caught them with their pants down, but it was now way past their posted opening time. My son and son in law ordered a breakfast burrito, I had French Toast and my honey had scrambled eggs. Service was spot on. The coffee was delicious and our waitress kept our cups warm and full, and she provided me with extra milk I had requested. The food was delicious, but no unexpected«wow’s». It is an English Pub style restaurant with a full bar to the left, upon entry. This was a little expensive for what we had, but, really, how can you put a price on time with your children? I took photos.
