Well I have yet to go into this place, but I have ordered for delivery via Unilocal.Once I placed the order I contacted Satu Thai to make sure they had received my order and my «special request»(side of lime & sweet n sour) The nice lady who answered confirmed everything and within the hour a delivery man was at my office door! I was very excited and hungry lol. The man was very nice and had assured that my requests were in the bag. I had ordered the Pad See Ew lunch special and my Aunt had ordered the Yellow Curry w/chicken lunch special. Both items came with salad and egg roll(delish) and her Curry came with a side of rice, and they were both fresh and piping hot! Both lunch specials were so yummy and full of flavor! Cant wait to eat here again!!!

We had a wonderful lunch experience. I was with our clients from Tokyo and I’m from Chicago. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and the great service.

We just moved to the neighborhood and need a late-ish dinner but didn’t want to have to drive«down the hill». Lucky for us Satu was still open and just blocks away. It was dead on a tuesday night. The owner was super friendly and helpful! The prices are very reasonable, the serving size is great, and the food was excellent. You would never expect a tiny place in a liquor store parking lot to be this good! Give this place a try. Its great to have a place in the neighborhood with good food and friendly faces for great value! And she gave us free ice cream since they recently changed owners to try to promote the place… BONUS. I wish I took pics, but i forgot, but next time I’m sure I will. I noticed a lot of people call in for pick up orders. Order: spring rolls tiger beef — that sauce! so good! pad see ew(the tiger sauce was so good i poured some over my pad see ew) — love these noodles with the pickled peppers on the table! Spicy but delicious! makes my mouth water!

Great food. Try anything and you’ll be satisfied. But I do enjoy the Pad This and yellow curry.

I love Thai food and I recently moved to this neighborhood so I was looking for a new nearby Thai place. I decided to try Satu. I ordered a pad see ew, the flavors were ok, but I felt the noodles and veggies were overcooked and a little too mushy and soft. The restaurant is very small and cute. The service is also decent. However, I wouldn’t try this place again.

One of the best Thai food places around. Sometimes there are ingredients unavailable, but I look at that as a good thing because they try to go with the seasons and are concerned about the quality they are serving. Can be slow at times but only because maybe they don’t have enough staff when it gets busy. Also, bring a sweater because the door doesn’t close all the way sometimes, and there’s a draft. Good ambiance, clean, friendly service for a good price.

The Spicy Eggplant really hits the spot! Definitely will come back to this place. They also had a promotion of free ice cream at the end of our Mea!

Finally a great Thai restaurant that also delivers to our area. The Tom Ka was savory and delicious and the drunken noodles were fresh and flavorful and the curries are hot, rich and merciless. We have ordered from Satu Thai over and over again, and we’re not about to stop!

Great tom yum soup! Very flavorful with the perfect amount of spicy. The pad kee mao is good too(could have been spicier, but I guess it’s better to be too mild than too spicy). I appreciate that I was able to order delivery for less than $ 20(most places have a minimum). The delivery was very quick & the food was piping hot.

Food was good but bad service. Never asked if we needed anything else. The waitress forgot to get what we asked for, and left stuff off the bill when we were already paying. Great drunken noodles, brown rice, and green curry.

Satu Thai Bistro on the corner Sierra Madre and San Gabriel in Azusa offers friendly, prompt service. The Vegetable Cakes are a «must try». We shared the Beef Pad Thai and Spicy Egg Plant w/chicken. The heat wason the Spicy Egg Plant was medium(they play it safe, I guess) but the flavor was all Thai. The beef portions on the Pad Thai were adequate, but again full of goodness.

When in the Azusa area and craving Thai food, visit Satu Thai. It is a very quaint location and has a very friendly staff. We have been here a few times and enjoy all the flavors. The tom yum soup is delicious. The crying tiger is excellent, as well as the three flavor fish. Save room for dessert also, the sweet roti is awesome!

I have been wanting to try this place every time I pass by. We finally did! We tried to come with some friends so that we could try more dishes, but football season got the best of us. Anyway back to Satu. Place is quite small but they have outdoor seating as well. Here are the dishes we ordered: Titanic. Which is a pom fish served with steamed broccoli, carrots and a sweet chili sauce. The fish is crispy and lightly seasoned which is good on it’s own, but dip it in the sauce to add that sweetness to it. I of course like to add the chili with fish sauce. Beef Panang. Don’t let the portion fool you. It is packed with a lot of flavor. The curry is on the sweeter side for me but the over all flavor was good. The beef could be a bit more tender, but it was ok. Not a huge deal. Tom Yum. The spices and flavor was on point. I would like to have more tamarind or squirt some more lemon, but that’s just me. Most dishes comes with a choice of white rice, brown rice or quinoa. My over all take is this place is a good Thai restaurant in the area. They need to tone down the sweetness just a tad. They offer take out and delivery service. I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.

Great Drunken Noodle with beef! The Green Curry w/chicken was spicy with generous amounts of meat and bamboo shoots. The Crying Tiger didn’t bring any tears to my eyes but that sauce made my taste buds smile. The great music and ambiance was an added bonus.

Small little Thai restaurant located right behind a Stop n Go Liquor Market( ). I believe you can park in this lot if you are going to eat here. Anyways, this place is truly a hidden gem that is a small restaurant with only about 6 tables inside and a few small tables outside. When we walked in last Friday 30 minutes prior to closing, we were greeted by the one and only server. We were given menus. After browsing through them, we ended up getting: Large Size Order Of Tom Yum, $ 8 prior to tax– I am not a big fan of Tom Yum soup because it is sour. But this soup wasn’t as sour as another Tom Yum soup I have had at another Thai place. My husband really liked this soup but not me. The large size is a good portion for 2 – 3 people. Pomaceous Salad, $ 8 prior to tax– A great size for the price. Really liked that this salad is made with the dark green leafys. There is definitely a good amount of chicken in this salad. I would order this again, but probably without the fried won ton strips. Super Cashew Nut with Tofu, $ 9 prior to tax– We ordered this dish mild(All dishes have a heat level that you can request for except the salad). This dish was excellent. The tofu was made perfectly and the sauce in this entrée really complimented all of the ingredients in this dish. Love the added crunch and flavor from the cashews. This entrée comes with your choice of white or brown rice. We picked brown. Crying Tiger, $ 10 prior to tax– My husband ordered this and said the grill beef itself is not spicy. And since the sauce was served on the side automatically, it was only spicy once the sauce is added(which is nice so you can control the spice level). I didn’t try any of his entrée, but he thought the beef was tender and made right. This entrée comes with your choice of white or brown rice. My husband opted for brown. Hot Jasmine Tea, $ 2 prior to tax — — — — — — - (Total= $ 40.33 after tax, prior to tip) Service was attentive. The food was excellent. I would definitely come back here in the near future to check out their lunch specials.

This place is at the corner of Sierra Madre ave. and San Gabriel ave. It is hidden by the liquor store(Stop and Go) next to it. However, the food is awesome; i just had a pad thai, and it tastes like the one i had in Thailand. They always start you with the set of of a bottle of water and tiny glasses on the table; such a warm greeting from them :) All in all, the food is fresh, the service is nice, and the ambiance is fabulous. I will be coming back.

This place has been nothing but remarkable. Ive become a regular to this place the past month simply because this place is awesome. Normally I get the Pa Nang Curry. It is pretty spicy, but you can always get it in mild. The staff is very good about accommodating the needs of the customers. There is usually never a wait. Simply walk in, pick a seat, order and you will be eating in no time! Also the Thai tea, milk tea, Thai lemonade and Thai coffee are the perfect drinks!(They even come with boba!) I recommend this place to everyone. If you didn’t like Thai food before, you will after you eat here!
