Good food and fast service. Parking is really tough when it gets busy on this plaza but other than that, once you consume the food, it’s great.

Yes, yes, yes. Either there is Cocaine in these or they’re just that good. This is my death bed last meal request place for sure.

Food was good, we ordered carne asada burrito, carne asada tacos and their papas nachos. Carne asada was good but a bit over cooked. Since both my husband and I like it that way we didn’t mind it but for others it may have been to well done. The portions were a bit small. The tacos especially. They charge $ 1.25 per taco when they should be more like 99cents. The burrito was average in size, I actually expected a larger burrito. But I will say it was tasty. The papa fries were good as well. I think if you like Mexican food this place is pretty good. We will probably come here especially since it’s so close to our home. I also trust a place were I have seen our local firemen eat. Because we all know that fireman know food. I’ve added pictures as well.

We live in the area and Pepes is one of our favorite spots in Azusa. Breakfast burritos, ceviche, tortas(a personal favorite) fish tacos and menudo all have good flavor, and they are not overly greasy like some other local Mexican food can be. Their salsas are really good too, and as we all know, no ones beans are as good as Mama’s, but these are pretty darn close. I order a side of them with everything.

Came here this past Saturday with friends after a 4.5 hour hike in the Angeles National Forest. We all ordered the macho burritos and asked them to make them wet. We dined outside, we had complimentary chips and salsa while we waited and our food was ready in less than 10min. After all the walking we did, this macho burrito hit the spot!

I played hooky from work to come to this place. I’ve gone to a lot of chains, which have been good Mexican restaurants, however, this is a jewel. Affordable, authentic and great staff!

Pepe’s is my go-to taco spot as I live close by and when I’m feeling lazy, I can still have some good tacos quick and cheap. My only and biggest drawback is that their red salsa is tasteless. Green one is alright but I always prefer the red and this place could do better. I wish they would change it!

Nice small restaurant with great authentic Mexican food. I ordered 3 tacos and a horchata drink. The food was nice and warm, tasted delicious, and the Horchata was perfect. I’ll be coming back.

Been meaning to try this place for the longest. I have a client nearby and drive by a lot and always see people munching away, good sign. Anyways, I ordered 3 tacos and they were so good. You coukd taste the char and know it was grilled and the salsas for the chips were great too. Chips made to order too I think. Anyway, great place, good food and reasonable. Try it out. You won’t be dissapointed :)

TIP: $ 0.99 cents Wednesday fish tacos The fish tacos are on the small side but are actually very tasty. It’s one of the better fish tacos in the area with the exception to tacos la bufadora. Cerviche tostada at around 2.50 is also a very good deal which includes a few slices of avocado on top. Free chips and salsa for dine in customers. The salsa is a bit spicy which is fine but it’s too smokey for me.

Amazing food for a great price! The people who work here are always friendly, but what continues to bring me back is the great food. Regular and breakfast burritos are fabulous. Nachos are different, with cheese sauce instead of baked on cheese, but also amazing. Fish tacos are INCREDIBLE! And they’re only $ 1 on Wednesdays.(You MUST come give these a try). I always leave here feeling very satisfied. Thank you Pepes!!!

This was the first place I ever ate at when I moved to Azusa. It’s changed owners over the last 9 years but same concept. Good street style tacos at a reasonable price. This is my go-to when I need a quick meal and I’m close to home.

This place is disgusting. Came here because a bunch of guy friends I was working with claimed it was the best tacos ever. I walked in and noticed the C beside the door. I sat down and didn’t even order a drink. Looked on Unilocal and the health score says A. I can see why this place is so low. Filthy place run by filthy people.

I’m not a big fan of mexican food, but when it comes to Pepe’s that is a different story. I love their Pepe’s Special(3 soft tacos, with your choice of meat, fried beans and yellow rice) I highly recommend that plate and this hidden gem. They’re very friendly and nice people and very professional. Give it a try and you’d love it

First time review for Pepes. I needed to feed my breakfast burrito craving and luckily Pepes did the trick. I ordered it without meat and asked it to be replaced with beans. No problem for Pepes! The best burritos start with a good tortilla, and so did this one. Big flour tortilla filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, loaded with nicely crispy and soft shredded hash browns, heaps of gooey jack and maybe mozzarella cheese, and tasty pinto beans strewn throughout. With a side of classic and nicely spicy burrito salsa, this was a delicious 5 star breakfast burrito. I will return for another, and another, and another. Oh yea! The rest of the menu looks awesome too!

This little gem is situated between the city of Glendora and north Azusa. It’s located in a small shopping center before you head up highway 39(San Gabriel Canyon). The new owner has owned this place for several years now and it has developed into one of my favorite spots for Mexican food. From ceviche tostadas to basically any kind of taco you can imagine. If you look thru the photos you will see that I’ve tried many dishes and have noted my opinion on the comments. This place is not only a must try for its delicious food but the people make it better. All the employees and the owner have a focused attention to detail and warm personalities. In the weekends I’m here for the menudo, during the week the tacos are amazing. Especially the shrimp tacos. They are small in size but the flavors that burst out of those is unforgettable. They are the best shrimp tacos I’ve ever had. They also have breakfast items, pancakes, sausage, chilaquieles, both red and green. The breakfast burritos that are epic. Dinner plates that you can’t go wrong with are the chile relleno, mole enchiladas and Barbacoa plate. There is also a secret menu and I highly recommend the«empapelado de pescado», also a surf and turf dish«carne asada and shrimp plate that’s delish.
