This is the Starbucks that is just west of the Children’s Hospital, not the one next to HEB. I don’t like Starbucks in general, but I like this location because it is a coffee bar that is convenient for a quick stop. You won’t find plush sofas with sleeping bloggers here. This is where doctors stop in for a quick espresso before returning back to work. The customers are always happy, and the baristas are friendly. Chris is the best and deserves a special shout out.

By far one of the slowest, least friendly Starbucks location I’ve visited. I’ve gone three days in a row and each time it’s taken 20+ minutes to get my iced coffee… and the store is hardly filled with customers. The staff spend more time talking to each other than they do making drinks. Poor experience all around.

Great staff and fun environment. They take the effort to remember their regulars names and orders, and frequently have my order ready before I even reach the register. Chris is amazing! Keep up the great work guys!

I went in to this store, which I normally always go to a different everyone every morning. I went in and was trying to ask questions about their products and the young lady there was not helpful at all, as I was asking questions she would respond with a «I don’t know» and walk away. I really don’t think a lot of people now days have any type of customer service experience but are only there to get a pay check. I will not be going back to this store, hopefully the other stores will have people that actually care about the job!

I go to this Starbucks location pretty often since it’s close to my job & school. The only thing I have to complain about is the staff. One of the cashiers was extremely rude & kept making faces at the things my friends & I were ordering. I was also kind of like«wtf» because they didn’t(&/or don’t?) accept $ 100 bills & that’s the only thing I had w me one day so I had to go to Which Wich & order a sandwich to get some change. Other than that, the service is pretty fast. It can get pretty packed in the mornings but that’s expected. Besides the rude staff, I’ll continue to go here.

Worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to — today I waited for 25 minutes for an iced coffee. Every time I decide to go here I’m disappointed. Definitely worth the extra 1 minute down 51st to go to the one by HEB.

Undoubtedly this Starbucks has lost its luster with the open of the new one down the street. Long waits, mediocre output. One barista had no idea what Ristretto espresso is and it’s on their menu. Get it together Barbara Jordan Starbucks!

This location is handy to shopping, Dell Childrens and has plenty of parking. The baristas are really friendly and amazingly, they make a point to remember their customers names! I love that! It’s a small store, but has indoor and outdoor seating– tables outside of the store and the shopping center has covered tables just a couple of doors down.

Try and avoid this location. The lady who took our order had zero personality. We then got back in line to buy a mug, and the guy with the shaved head and large beard walk up to the register, he acted put out to help. Took a long time to make 2 venti mochas. I get if it was busy, but it wasn’t. The barista was too busy talking and laughing it up with her coworker to make coffee. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to a different location.

This SBux is right across from Dell Children’s Hospital(Barbara Jordan and Mueller area). Clean premises, staff was friendly and efficient. I was there at 5:45am, before the morning crowd. The drink tasted as expected(CM upside down with Xtra shot). Will have to –1 star for employee working while sick(she said it, not me: sniffles was her self diagnosis) and touching her face then my cup.

It’s a cool beautiful morning in ATX. On my way to work but need my Starbucks fix. Wish I can sit out on the patio and enjoy this weather. It would be better if my pooches were here too Oh well back to reality. Enjoying my warm coffee this morning. Get your starbucks and have a great day!

Please note that this is the Starbucks on 51st near PetSmart and Best Buy — it is NOT the Starbucks by HEB Mueller, which a lot of other Unilocalers seem to think it is. Some of these pictures are inaccurate. This location is always busy and they never seem to have enough staff working — this is because Dell Children’s hospital is right across the street and the place is constantly fill with doctors/nurses in scrubs getting their daily dose of java. Despite the frequent line, they do a decent job of getting through orders and drinks quickly. The staff is usually pretty friendly.

These guys(and gals for the pc correct) are always so friendly and fast. Surrounded by Dr’s in scrubs, hipsters with beards and tattoos wearing the current fashion trends(bless their hearts) and those«oh so precious» man buns in their hair. Coffee cake swirl for a little mid morning snack is quickly heated and delivered with my super yummy venti mocha Frappuccino(with whip). It is actually fun to play a little game here. When you walk by the hipsters and Dr’s, say«Hello, nice day today» and watch for the reaction. It’s a great way to identify the real Texans vs. transplants from the West coast.

I wanted a java chip frappacino to enjoy while shopping at HEB so, I stopped in here! They have a nice patio area and it’s not as big as other locations I have been to! There wasn’t anyone in the ordering line so, I was helped quickly. Then became the 10 minute wait. It appeared that they were training someone and as expected she was pretty slow. I understand this but, my drink was so overblended that it was watery. I didn’t take a sip of it until I got in my car and I didnt’ feel like going back in and waiting again so, I just drank it. I’m sure this is an isolated incident but, I will have to try it again and update my review!

Starbucks is Starbucks and this one is no different, other than it’s very small. They have just a few tables inside and several more outside. The good thing about this location is there is plenty of parking in the shopping center parking lot so you don’t have to hunt around. It’s also nice being located in the shopping center so you can get your caffeine fix before you begin your shopping adventures.

This review is a corollary to my Mueller-Berkman review. These guys grind the beans correctly whereas the other location has been giving me issues when I pickup my whole bean coffee(see details from that review). My only gripe here(which they can’t do much about) is that it’s not the most convenient to get to. On Google Maps, it looks like it’s right off I-35 where you can swing by and get something quickly. You have to navigate through Barbara Jordan and the parking lots to get there.

This review is for the SB located in Muller by HEB. This by far is my favorite SB in Austin! Great service from a friendly staff. Inside there are lots of tables and chairs of varying sizes and heights power outlets is available throughout the seating area(Note: look under high tables for power strip). Lots of seating available outside as well but power outlets are not available. There is a bike repair kit located outside to the right of the front door and an area where you can lock your bike. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during lunch hour.

«The new Starbucks is here! The new Starbucks is here!» ************************ (Seriously, what more do you want to know? It’s the newest & coolest Starbucks in town, exactly like the Mueller HEB next door was the newest & coolest HEB when it opened. Starbucks are pretty much more alike than different to me, Alison & Tracey nailed the details of this one(it definitely is nice), and all I really need to know is what time they close — it’s 10pm here. There ya go. Happy coffee trails, everyone!)

The second Mueller Starbucks opened abut a week ago and is one of the prettiest ones. It boasts a beautiful interior with high ceilings, industrial/modern vent mounts, lights, ceiling fan, furniture, and decorative ceiling panels. I really love the tall windows. This Starbucks is definitely larger than the other Mueller Starbucks, but smaller than the Arboretum Starbucks. There is a long couch with electrical outlets along the bottom. There are two tables against the windows with a total of twelve«barstools,» six small round tables for intimate conversations, and two tall long tables for group collaborations with an electrical outlet on the floor. I just got the plain Pike Place brewed coffee and it tasted consistent with all the other Starbucks I frequent. This Starbucks is in the same little block of buildings to the front right of HEB. Other businesses in it are Twin Liquors, Great Clips, Subway and a nail place.

Mueller just keeps getting better and the latest addition is a beautiful new Starbies. Located right by the HEB, this location has plenty of seating: Comfy chairs in the front near the big windows, a secluded counter towards the middle, and lots of breezy patio tables in the back. The Mueller rumor mill is saying that this location will feature«Starbucks Evenings» which means wine served after 4. I questioned the staff about it and they said it’s still TBD, I’ll definitely be checking back!
