Amanda was very nice while I was there, she said the results would be worth it. However, I wasn’t measured before or after, and was told the results would be visible in 12 hours. This wasn’t the case, I didn’t lose any inches, and only lost a pound of water wait. I am not sure if there other reviews are true or not. But, I was not measured, and was told results wouldn’t take effect for 12 hours. So, I find it hard to believe that the other reviewer saw results immediantly. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone– I feel very scammed, I responded back to Amanda, that I had seen no results, and she didn’t respond at all. I guess she is too busy, but I just wasted time and money on nothing. Please steer clear of this unless, you know someone first hand this worked on. I am very suspicious of the other reviews on here. If results don’t work on everyone, or if she was too busy to do the process correctly, she needs to let you know that it may not work. I requested a partial refund because this didn’t work, and didn’t hear back at all. Very disappointing– time and money wasted.

While Amanda was super nice and friendly, the wrap did absolutely nothing. I’ve done wraps before and have had some(if minimal) results before but this was did nothing but have me sweat for an hour. I don’t retain water weight and I guess that’s where people are losing most of their inches.

I’m not going to say I wasn’t skeptical about the efficacy of these body wraps, but now having two done, I’m pleasantly surprised. Amanda is great about dealing with an almost naked body, as well as not making me feel self-conscious while getting measured and wrapped. I did the wrap with clay and steam, as well as soaked bandages with«exercise»(no steam). In both cases, I lost 10 inches overall. The cool thing was I did each wrap a week apart and was able to see my results. So, 10 inches lost after the first wrap, went back the following week, same 10 inches still gone, then lost another 10 inches after the second wrap. I would like to continue getting wrapped to see how many more inches I can lose! Thanks Amanda!

Amanda is wonderful. Very professional making you feel comfortable even in a typically awkward naked situation. She also has an incredible detox foot bath that I had done. Love body wraps and the different options. Thank you Amanda

Awesome results with the slimming body wraps. Amanda has a great technique and uses a steam tent that I feel gives superior results. I have had a couple wraps elsewhere, and they do not even come close to the results I get from Amanda! She is also very professional and easy to deal with.

Simply Slimming is a small, one-woman operation, in a salon collective called Salon Republic. I bought a Groupon for a 120 minute simply slimming wrap that promised to shrink and detox me. Today was the day to cash in. After the prerequisite paperwork, it was time to undress and get over myself. Women will be familiar with this moment, whether at a bikini wax or a bra fitting, where you just have to «get over yourself» and accept the fact you’re going to be in a various state of undress with a stranger while they poke, prod, or measure you. Amanda is a pro, so no self-consciousness there, even while she’s measuring all your curvy parts in front of a full-sized mirror and making you watch. Once you’re measured, then you are wrapped up with Dead Sea clay-soaked Ace bandages. This part was actually cool, since the sensation is a lot like being swaddled, and the bandages are all nice and warm and tight. But then, they start getting cold and wet, and you have to stand there, kind of moving around, for 45 minutes… This is the part where my latent tom-boy says, «What?» Don’t worry, latent tom-boy says that during mani-pedis also. I like having my nails done, and being magically shrunk by dirt and bandages, but the waiting is the hardest part. Luckily, Amanda had some shows streaming on her laptop, so I watched the first episode of Pam Am(seriously, Christina Ricci? Interesting casting choice) and every 20 minutes, Amanda hosed my bandages down with some more Dead Sea soup, while I shook around like a dashboard ornament, or marched in place, or did invisible hula-hoop. Once it was all over, she unwrapped me, which felt really liberating, and then she measured me again. I lost several inches all over, but not necessarily in the exact ratios and areas I wanted, though that has more to do with me, than Amanda. I wanted to buy a package deal to have a few more done, since that’s what recommended, but my house-poverty and the tom-boy would not allow it. I’ll have to do it sometime when she’s not looking ;)
