I ended up at this Radio Shack by chance — and couldn’t be more grateful! I needed a new charger but when I saw that they would fix your broken phone at this Radio Shack, I realized that saved me one more errand I had to run. My touch screen was completely busted and I had been going on a whole week of not having an operating phone. Charles was the technician who went above and beyond in fixing my phone. He let me watch as he took my phone apart, explained exactly what he was doing, went into detail explaining what went wrong, and was beyond knowledgeable. No wonder he is in charge of training all the technicians at 11 locations! When he asked me if I had had my screen replaced before I said ‘yeah…at some place called Cell Phone Repairs on Burnet.” Without hestiating he said ‘Was ‘repairs’ spelled with a ‘z’ at the end?!” Yep! It sure was. He said I was not the first person to come in with a broken phone after those people had fixed it. Charles’ attention to detail and serious knowledge of what he was doing has guaranteed my repeat business. I highly recommend going to this Radio Shack and having Charles fix your phone if you ever have a broken phone.

Limited selection, higher than average pricing and hit or miss on the customer service

Employees were helpful with helping me find things, but when I went to check out, the cashier asked for my info and tacked a 2 dollar warranty plan on there(it’s a 10 dollar item, I don’t care!) without asking if I wanted it. I assume that there’s some kind of inane management policy where employees get in trouble if they don’t meet a warranty quota, because I don’t know why else a cashier would pull something so sneaky. Disappointing.

I like perusing the gadgets. Most items are okay, some down right cheap and I’m not talking the price, though Radio Shack isn’t really all that expensive. I am always finding things in here I’d have never thought about before. I’m a geek.

Great products, lousy customer service, especially the manager. He needs to learn how to talk appropriately to his customers.

Worst customer service ever! I walked in here looking to buy an FM transmitter. I was never greeted or even asked if I needed help the entire time I was in the store. I walked every aisle and finally found the FM transmitters. By that time, I wasn’t interested in giving this Radio Shack my money. *****Avoid this location*****

I’ve been here twice, both times I was met with mediocre service(friendly although not very knowledgeable about calculators or iPhone accessories). Today there was a bit of a wait since only one register was working. How you can only have one register working at an electronics store is beyond me. Don’t they have all the parts they would need right there? Just saying … I guess it’s an alright place to go for cords and batteries, at least until some other option opens up.

This guy had to be the most friendly, overworked, underpaid nerd I’ve ever met! Poor guy was all alone trying to watch the transients, help me start up a new phone service, and take payments, and he handled all of it like a pro! I’ve loved looking at all the gadgets and crap I never needed in Radio Shack since I was little, but today, I had a truly good experience there!

Remember when Radio Shack used to specialize in CB radios and transistors for your science fair project? 4 stars for the memories.

And on the Eighth day God created Radio Shack… why? So he could fix all the crap he screwed up during the first seven days. Need to splice a wire to your antenna that you have hooked to your toaster so you can receive signals from that probe out by Mars? Only at Radio Shack can you find what you need. Radio Shack is a wannabe MacGyver paradise. I rely on Radio Shack for all of my emergency needs from tools to couplers to wires and more, I know that I can always find what I need at Radio Shack. This is the greatest store on the planet(well close at least).
