LOVETHISPLACE! Hello pizza lovers, lend me your ears. This place has my stamp of approval. Why attend the other pizza shops that charge you a dollar per topping when you can get unlimited toppings for free?! They make the pizza right Infront of you and for all you indecisive people they have different premade pizzas to choose from. The sauce is good, lacks a little bit of flavor, but the toppings can cover that

Great pizza! I stopped by MOD during a visit to Austin and was very pleased with my experience. It is a fast casual type place where you can design your own individual thin crust pizzas with a variety of toppings(unlimited)! The pizza is totally delicious. I ordered one with peppers, olives and spicy serrano peppers and it really hit the spot. Even better, the pizzas are relatively low calorie which they conveniently list on the menu. My whole pizza was less than 700 calories so I didn’t feel bad polishing the whole thing off in one sitting. Service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even have beer and wine for those who want a party with their pizza. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Austin.

I personally didn’t care for MOD pizza based on their food alone. Sure, we’re all getting excited in Texas about build-your-own«one price» personal pizzas(à la Chipotle, as we are constantly reminded), but this was maybe the fourth place of its concept I’ve visited. And therefore… they got judged just on their food, no novelty points. We started off on a kind of bad foot: I’d like to see fresh mozzarella & ricotta added to their cheeses(fresh mozzarella in particular is, to me, a pizzeria staple… but who am I?). To be fair, their veggie and meat selection is pretty extensive, and they offer a dairy-free cheese. They also have some clever finished like BBQ and Sriracha. I built my own pizza, and while I enjoyed it, I didn’t think it was anything special. The crust was just sort of hangin’ out and supportin’ my ingredients. It was cracker-like and flavorless. The garlic strips are pretty underwhelming because the base is the same thin, tasteless dough. Womp womp. They do have a cool selection of drinks though! That’s one thing I remember. It’s not my cup of tea, but I can see how it’d be a four star place. I think right now people are giving it some extra credit for«originality».

This place is awesome! The concept is a little different, the pizzas are personal size and you can build it however you want. Tons of toppings, spices, sauces, and crust options(gluten free). Best part, no charge for toppings, pile on the stuff as high as you want! The staff is always friendly and energetic, and food has always been good. Good less expensive date spot if you have never been and want something different and a little interactive, having them build the pizza in front of you. About $ 20 for 2 people.

I’ve picked up food for work people at MOD twice — that being said, I cannot attest to the in-house service. BUT the pickup service is really good. The first time I picked up everyone’s orders, I noticed that one of my co-workers ordered a regular MOD and got a mini-MOD. I pointed out the error and they fixed it — even letting my co-worker keep the mini-MOD. The second time I went for pickup, everyone’s size was correct but I apparently didn’t pay close enough attention to each individual pizza. When I got the food back to work, I noticed that my pizza was missing 3 of the ingredients I asked for. Another co-worker was also missing ingredients. Can’t complain though…$ 5 for a good sized«mini» pizza with unlimited toppings? That’s a win in my book. Unfortunately, probably won’t be returning because it’s just not the most convenient place. Parking is usually a pain in the you-know-what here and we only have limited time to wait.

I wanted to wait until I had the chance to visit a second time and yes, I can officially say that MOD Pizza is my JAMMMMM! Is the price a little more than what you’d normally pay, true, but what you get in return makes the premium pricing worth it! More than anything I love that they have a dairy-free option! No more frozen vegan pizzas! Crunchy, gooey-ooey, fresh and yummy are the words that come to mind. I will forever be a MOD pizza lover. Sorry Papa! P. S. The only thing that would make MOD even better is if you could get unlimited lifetime refills on lemonade and tea. Yep, that’s the only way you’re getting 6 stars…

This kind of place is very much my cup of tea and I’ll likely be back in spite of my lackluster rating. That said, I got some beef with a few things and I want to warn others before their trip: — Light sauce doesn’t mean no sauce — The«roasted» brussels sprouts are just this side of raw — The salami tastes metallic — They accidentally threw my friend’s pizza away and didn’t even comp her for the extra 20 minutes of waiting for her replacement pizza. They gave her someone else’s abandoned pizza, though, which is a really weird apology. The balsamic glaze and the crust are what will bring me back, though. I love how salty that bread is, especially against the sweetness of the balsamic. I’ll just skip the sprouts and the salami next time.

This is a staple for our family. It has both Gluten free crust and diya soy cheese which makes it easy for me to order for everyone in the family. If you are going to order 3 or more pizzas come with a list for each and just hand it to the pizza maker(s). They will thank you for it, as it makes life so much easier. They have the best gluten free pizza crust in town and ask for it to be cooked crispy, which means the edges will be slightly burnt but the rest of the crust will be perfect to the center. I always order in person so that I can get a little bit more ingredients on the pizza and have it spread out evenly for take outs. This is my favorite pizza to order with real cheese: Gluten-free crust with extra red sauce + fresh basil Canadian bacon, pepperoni, and bacon or salami black olives, mushrooms, green bell peppers, onions, artichokes Also, they have beer on tap if you eat in. This is great to cap off the day.

Love love love MOD! Great, fresh ingredients. Super cool staff. Lots of natural light. As many toppings as you want at no extra charge. Fast cooking. Delicious lemonade. Seriously, I don’t know what else to say. It’s basically awesome. I like the Texican with pepperoni. If they’ll get Topo Chico in addition to(or in place of) Pellegrino, then I’ll love it even more. If you are looking for well-priced, fast, and delicious pizza, MOD is for you.

Yum! Really enjoyed this place. The mini pizzas are great for kids and picky eaters. I ordered the breadsticks which were awesome as well as the Caspian pizza which really hit the spot. My daughter ordered a mini pepperoni pizza which she ate in its entirety. She’s a picky pizza eater. We typically make them at home because she doesn’t always like the pizza. This place and her pizza was perfect! The restaurant is on the small side which is why we opted for the patio. My daughter enjoyed the two lemonade flavor options for drinks.

It’s great that MOD Pizza is in the Mueller area now because it adds to the variety of solid casual-dining options for a «I have no groceries in the fridge» weekday evening. The best thing about their business model? You can make any kind of pizza you want with as many toppings as you like for a fixed price. It’s like Chipotle but BETTER because the pizzas are priced based on size and not by type of meat. Other awesome things about MOD Pizza: +Large patio +Unique flavors of lemonade and tea made in-house that pair well with the pizza +Super fast pizza baking… seriously, it’s baked in 3 – 5 mins +Did I mention that you can put as many toppings as you want on your pizza?! Grab a friend, your pup, and your pizza appetite and stop by for a great time!

Order from their top 10 pizzas or create your own. Add or remove toppings at no extra charge. We got the Domnic and the Lucy Sunshine. Both are good, but the Lucy Sunshine is better – I liked the touch of garlic and the artichokes. I liked their pita-bread-like crust – thin, not too soggy or too crispy. You can order the mini(~6 in) or Mod size(~11 in.) They also have sweet tart pizzas, salads, garlic strips, and milkshakes.

MOD Pizza is like a Qdoba for pizza. You pay a fixed price($ 7.47 for 11″) and put whatever toppings you want on top. If you’re overwhelmed by the sheer number of options, just choose from one of the pre-defined Classics. But if you really want to get the best bang for your buck, just keep piling on the toppings. They won’t stop you. Go crazy. The assembly was a bit slow but I think that was more from employee inexperience than ineptness. Or maybe because I kept talking to them. Either way, I’m sure it’ll speed up once they figure out the best way to sling pies. Once in the oven, it took about 5 – 10 minutes for delivery to your table. As far as the pizza goes, it’s quite solid. Stylistically, it’s probably most similar to the thin-crust offerings of House Pizzeria west on 51st at Airport Blvd. Obviously the experiences are quite different since MOD Pizzeria is much more modern(and a chain) but the pizza is just as tasty. The 11″ crust is definitely a good meal for a single person but that obviously changes depending on how many toppings you add. My only complaint was that the interior was absolutely FREEZING. While it’s probably quite comfortable next to the pizza oven, it was far too cold to sit inside. Fortunately they have a ton of outdoor seating! *Update* My concerns with the soda fountain have been resolved! Huzzah normal-tasting soda!

This is a new spot over by the new Torchy’s and HEB on 51st. It is what you could call the subway or Chipotle of pizzas. Start with a blank crust and customize it from sauce to cheeses and toppings. They do have some classic options hat you can pick from as well if you don’t love making decisions. There is another chain out there like this called Pieology which we had to directly compare it to since Pieology was our go to in SoCal and has this concept down to a science. Pros: –Concept is great especially if you are like us when it comes to pizza — he loves meats and she loves veggies. –The price point is spot on(less than $ 8 for a good sized custom, personalized pizza) — Great selection of toppings and nice staff. –Offer salads –Offer gluten free crust($ 2 extra) –Online ordering available –They threw in ranch for free! Cons: –Crust is thin and gets pretty crispy(con to us, may be pro to you) –Not the most authentic pizza flavor, the sauce lacked some flavor to us –SLOW on the service from ordering to getting the pizza(yes, we know pizza has to cook). We attributed this to being brand new and hoping things will pick up. Pieology, which we spoke of earlier in the review has this system perfected and given the long lines you wait in, your pizza is almost done by the time you get to the front and pay. The delay here was how long it took to get the toppings on the pizza, so thank goodness it wasn’t busy when we came. We will definitely be coming here often and look forward to the efficiency of the restaurant increasing as they get the hang of things.

D. and I came here for the grand opening and it was tops! Those of us waiting in line were given free treats like vanilla milkshakes and pizza slices. The pizza is thin crusted, crunchy, and delicious! I was surprised by how crunchy the crust was. If you’re into thin crust, check this place out! The customer service was also really great. The Mod staff welcomed us in, talked with us about their favorite pies, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Considering that everything was free, this customer oriented experience exceeded my expectations.

Wow, I’m super impressed with Mod Pizza! I came for their grand opening and I can already see that they’ll be a fixture in the Mueller neighborhood. Located in the HEB shopping center right next to Torchy’s, parking can be a challenge but it’s worth the effort! Mod Pizza offers a unique take on the pizza dining experience. It’s like the Chipotle of pizza. Pick a classic pizza combination or create your own. Modify a classic pie by removing or adding ingredients to your pizza, at no extra charge!!! The process works like an assembly line — Order your pizza, tell them any additions or subtractions, and stroll down the line, watching the pizza artists expertly craft your pie. Pay at the register, where they also serve local draft beer and wine for $ 4.97 a glass. They call your name or deliver your pizza to your table when it’s ready! An 11″ mod pizza is only $ 7.47, what a deal! The pie came out hot and fresh in under 5 mins. I was skeptical at first… that was too fast to make a crispy pie crust(which I prefer). But YES!!! The crust light and crispy, just like I like it, with no burnt ends or burnt bottom like other places that try to make traditional thin crust. The pizza had the perfect amount of sauce to cheese/ingredient ratio. I ordered the«dominic,» with sausage, fresh basil, asiago, and red onion, plus I added mushrooms. I loved the white sauce! My coworkers tried the«mad dog» and the«trisan,» which they loved. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. We sat outside, where there was plenty of patio seating. Excellent pizza, fresh ingredients, and interesting pizza combinations. Crispy crust! Affordable prices. Super friendly, attentive staff. I’ll be back very, very soon!

Super thin — almost pastry like crust is just one of the things that sets this pizza place apart. Seattle transplant is new to the Austin scene built upon noble beginnings and quality ingredients. Today during their grand opening, I got to try FOUR flavors of pie. Plain cheese — «The Maddy.» «The cheese stands alone» and is super good. Mute enough for kids but strong enough for a foodie. Pepperoni — Good old standby pepperoni is a step up from the Maddy for it’s spicy, salty goodness. The«Gus» — A white pie with rubbed garlic(I saw them rub it!) mozzarella, roasted asparagus, canadian bacon and parmesan. A solid contender for lunch. «The Tyler»(Squad Favorite!) — Essentially a hawaiian pizza — red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, canadian bacon, bacon, pineapple and a bbq sauce drizzle.(I added Jalapenos) All of them were tasty on their own and the concept is novel… A base price for pizza and then get whatever you want on it. WHOKNEW. Like the chipotle of pizza. The pizzas all cook VERY quickly(90 seconds?) in a very hot oven. So everyone wants to know about the crust. The crust for their pizzas is a regular yeast crust but super thin and not hand tossed. I don’t know what they do to it or how much fat is in their dough but it comes out almost like a pastry crust. Not a cracker like East Side Pies and also not a new york style pie like you’d get at Homeslice. Mod has figured out something completely unique and it’s definitely worth trying. The pizzas are small — you can probably eat one yourself without breaking a sweat but they’re big enough where you probably won’t want a second. I’m excited to try their other pies and what kind of crazy creations I can come up with.
