Lauren is amazing. I got to know her a while ago when she was at another salon. After my first cut, i knew that I had to stick with her. Making my hair look good takes a wizard — and Lauren is about as close as I’ve found to one…
On top of that, her fees are completely reasonable, she makes the time to fit you into her schedule, and she’s a great person.
I HIGHLY recommend Lauren if you’re a guy needing a haircut in Austin.

Lauren’s been cutting my hair for almost a year now and she is incredible. She’s helped me identify several different styles I liked, taught (and re-​taught) me hair-​care 101, and is remarkably consistent in her dedication to excellence. Lauren is an absolute sweetheart and I’d recommend her to anyone.

Lauren is an experienced and exceptional stylist with her own shop located right in the heart of Austin. I’m typically very picky about my routine hair cuts and making sure it comes out the same each time. Lauren was able to give me a fantastic cut that far exceeded my expectations and correct any kind of errant cuts or styling made by previous barbers. She shows extreme care for every detail and making sure that each customer leaves not only with a great head of hair but also with the advice and know how to be able to keep the haircut looking and feeling great for days to come. She provides a full range of services for both men and women and I have heard nothing but positive remarks from every person whose had the pleasure of receiving professional level quality styling from her. I can guarantee that you won’t find a finer stylist in the Austin area.

I met Lauren a few years ago at her old job after going through many other stylists that simply couldn’t manage to cut or style my hair that roughly resembles a Brillo® Pad. Let me stop there, I never write reviews on Unilocal.Hell, I didn’t even have a Unilocal account before this. However, now that Lauren is out on her own and not part of a big shop, this is the least I can do.
Anyway, back to the review… Lauren somehow found the secret to tame my part curly, part wavy, part straight, part something else hair that seemed to frustrate and confuse almost anyone else who would touch it. I once made the mistake of going to another stylist in her absence when she was out of town since I had to have a haircut that day. After that stylist butchered my hair, I came crawling back with my tail between my legs a week later to have Lauren fix it. She knew exactly what to do, fixed the disaster, and on top of that, refused to charge me for the new cut. That kind of dedication to customer service is what keeps me as a customer and is what makes Lauren a successful professional. If you’re picky about your hair or have a challenging case of fluff that grows from your scalp like I do, stop looking around and go see Lauren… you’ll be glad you did.

Lauren always does a great job for me and my picky husband. She really listens to what we want and provides a fantastic looking cut and style. She’s also great with hair color… I have had a hard time finding someone that can not only cover my resistant grays but also leave me with a pretty, dimensional, shiny color… Lauren has managed to do both.
