I love this HEB! There are tons of food and wine samples, it’s clean, staff is polite and they have a large selection. I love how much produce and bulk grains they have to offer. Also the deli is super easy to use. They have you take a number so they make sure to see people in order AND there is a lady giving out cheese samples right beside it all the time. Nothing keeps your toddler happy while you wait like cheese.

Really the best one in this general area. HEB is always packed regardless of which one you go to. It looks like a zombie apocalypse on any given evening between 5−7pm. This one seems to be the mellowest, most well stocked, friendliest one in the area. Very good prices to boot. Generally as good or better than Walmart. Not much stays on the shelf, so everything like bread, pastries, etc is always fresh.

What can I say, best grocery market that I’ve been to in the USA. Great value but still has the high end products like Whole foods and central market

I went in tonight for some Pineapple Habanero glaze for my fish tacos. Where to find it in a place with 20,000 items? I asked RICKY to help me, he was kind of busy restocking some item on a end cap. He took me around a couple of places and even asked another employee where it might be. We found it over by the meat section and I cannot thank this young man enough for helping me… but wait there’s MORE. He even went so far as to suggest a bacon glaze that I’m dying to try on some grilled chicken and vegetables. Ricky, you made my day man!

No other competition really… I don’t like that. But, I shop here. Been to several. Make-up, lotions, vitamins and things you would purchase at CVS(which is priced way too high now) are less expensive here. I was very pleased with the packaged, no hormones etc beef. at the counter by the butcher/fish man. The roasts, stew, etc. were the best I ever made! Seafood is much better selection and fresher than Randal’s. I used to love Randal’s but they over price most of their stuff unless it’s on sale. The staff is all eager to please, very nice! I did find it strange to find out that the pricing is all different depending on the store. I bought green beans in Round rock, needed more so I ran into Cedar Park HEB the same day and they were priced higher.(A lot higher her lb!) The Produce clerk said pricing depends on the area. Got my daughter slippers at HEB… ran in once for a t-shirt because something spilled and we were on our way somewhere. They have just about everything! Bought beautiful Christmas cards half off because I ran out while writing out cards a week before Christmas. Saved me from going elsewhere, with all the people and traffic! Yes, I guess I love H-E-B!

This HEB is great it’s 2 miles from my house and I try to go several times a week. Compared to other HEBs this store is the perfect mix of central market and an HEB store. Always clean and well stocked. The only downside is that everyone else in southwest Austin also thinks this store is great and you have to plan when to shop around the crowds.

Ok, love this HEB as it is so close to my home and they typically have what I need. But, one complaint I have that really freaks me out — THEBIRDS! They are flying in and out of the store! I was walking in one day and one flew out right above my head! Thinking about food that’s out uncovered(i.e. produce) and those birds does not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

HEB has good product but there staffing is tight. Normally I have to bag my own groceries or the person checking me out will bag them after there done ringing up my $ 200 just pile the stuff in bags without considering how they might smash the soft items below. Today, I went and the entire ice cream section was out. I ask the man where I could get some and he directed be to the back of the store. I asked two different workers where the ice cream was located and they said they would not get it for me that it would take too much of their time. I didn’t know helping a customer retrieve a product for purchase was a waste. Not impressed.

Every time I buy prepacked steak it goes bad within 1 – 2 days. This has happened several times. I keep it in the back of my refrigerator which is kept at the second highest cold level. I find this disgusting that HEB sells meat that is already old out of their prepack section. What a huge health risk this is.

I have been here only once. I needed beer. They have an extensive selection that includes Racer 5! I made my selection and Alex bought me a big bottle to enjoy with dinner! It’s fun to go shopping with Alex!(He doesn’t drink beer either, so you don’t have to share the beer he buys you.)

This is BYFAR the best HEB I have ever experienced. While the HEB Plus up in Cedar Park is exceptional as well, that MF is HUGE. This location has everything that location offers grocery wise, without beings 10 acres in size. Fresh meats, special items made fresh in house, great bakery and exceptional produce all at awesome prices; this location epitomizes why us Texas always brag about have HEBs. Then they also have a huge flower department, and even a nice little home décor department that the GF enjoys. Cleanliness and sanitation are obviously very important when it comes to a grocery store. You walk around this entire HEB and never for a second doubt everything here is up to code. It’s just a nice feeling to know it’s not something you probably have to have on your mind. Thank you for having the best HEB in Austin located one mile away from my apartment!

HEB has gotten better over the years. The people are friendly and VERY helpful. Good choices, but they could be better. Kyle store does not always have what is in their weekly ad.

Love the Super HEB in Kyle. The produce section has fresh fruit’s and vegetables. One of my favorites is the bulk isle with a variety of items that allow you to purchase a little or a lot. Glad to have a Texas based grocery store near home.

OK, this is by far my favorite HEB location in South Austin! Always super clean and the layout is AMAZING! Huge seafood counter, large prepared food selection and produce always looks fantastic. Has more of a Whole Foods /Central Market style layout than the older HEB stores in the area. We do most of our shopping at the Brodie and William Canon location, but I will occasionally go out of my way to go to this location, especially when I am looking for seafood or steaks. Really not a bad thing to say about this location. If you live anywhere near here, you really should be buying all your groceries here.

I come to this location because it close by my apt. I really love the Healthy Living dept. Maya, JJ and Kyle are awesome. I wish they did more coupons and meal deals, but because of the area they don’t need too. I recommend this location and to stop by and grab a sandwich instead of Subway(right near by). Majority of their food comes from a bag(in the fresh good section). But if that is okay with you. Then its pretty inexpensive for a plate of food for lunch or dinner. They also have a sushiya(hope that’s right) My Fit Foods inside, book area, home goods and more areas. The layout isn’t too big and so its a good size store for in and out shopping.

I’ve shopped a lot of HEBs in the Austin area and I have to say this is one of the best ones in the city. The store is vast and they have the most amazing produce comparable to the Central Markets. They have a large selections of wine and cheese that I always has me finding something new. Often they do food and wine samples through the entire store so you can find new products as you go. Wasn’t overly happy about the remodeling bit, they really made the shelves tall and it lost a smidge of its unique charm, but it still has the best selection of absolutely everything. Like any grocery store, it’s super busy on Sunday afternoon, but I always found early Sunday morning to be pleasant(also there is a Starbucks across Escarpment for when you’re on the way home!).

This store has gone through a some remodeling changes which has both good and bad responses. HEB seems to want to add more items by installing higher isle shelves which some say has ruined the store ambiance. This store is a bit unique where it is smaller than others and cannot place ugly items outside in front. They also added a My Fit Foods eatery in it and move items around to where I am still learning to where they are. Some of the new items are higher quality but HEB still pushes its low end brand items. They also got rid of the pasta cooking station. With all this remodeling going on I did not see Santa at the store like previous years. They recently added a cookie bar where you pick you own cookies and pay by the pound like WF but the bags you put them into has the wrong checkout code. Of all the HEBs I have been to this one seems to have the best seafood department and love it. Anyway, this store size is perfect even though more items are crammed into it, and where I can still shop quickly without walking miles in the store.
