I placed an order on 12/26/2014. After waiting 2 additional days from the original estimated delivery date I finally got my package only to find they had not shipped everything. I was missing a pair of shoes. I was only slightly irritated, mistakes do happen, we are all human. I immediately called their customer service and explained the situation. I was told they needed to send an email to their support team and to call back in 2 – 3 days. So I did. Then I was told that I needed to call on the 4th day. So I did. Now I am being told that they will not receive a response from this mysterious department that has no phone number for 5 – 7 days and to call back then. I told them that was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to someone about this. Then they hung up on me. What kind of company handles business like that? I will NEVER shop from them again. There is no one else for me to talk to about the issue, they won’t even give out an email so I can work directly with the department that we are waiting for. This company’s customer service is a joke! Missing items should not take 5 – 7 days JUST to get a response to see IF they will send me the product that I have already paid for. The item that I DID receive is only OK quality so I wouldn’t even say buy directly from their store locations. But if you do choose to shop here DONOTBUYONLINE. Shop at the store so there is less change of them screwing you over and messing up your order. Worst online shopping experience EVER! And I have shopped from China!

Went to the Arbor Walk Mall Location for the AVENUE, only to find that their store is gone!!! No sign on the window or explanation. Called the Customer Care phone number and they directed me to their Corporate phone number which gave me another phone number to call. The only store in Austin, Texas, is at 5400 Brodie Lane. I give them an «F» for flunking out on the way they treat their loyal customers.

I’ve been to Avenue a few times in my life– in particular this location. I like that it is in a less-busy area of the Arbor Walk complex and it is pretty easy to get to. The style of Avenue seems to be more mature casual to multi-age professional for the larger figured woman. Prices aren’t too shabby compared to other plus size specialty shops. They have a decent selection for the wide-footed(thought I can’t account for the quality). Most of the clothes in the store are solid-colored and flattering patterns are hard to come by. The clothes do hold up for the most part, but you can get some same or similar items at a Target or Walmart for cheaper. However, if you’re looking for something to wear to an interview or just need a new dress, this place might be worth checking. The sizes are comparable to those at Lane Bryant, but their 14⁄16(smallest size) seems a little larger. So those of us in the inbetweenie sizes might not have as much luck finding much. The employees are nice, but it is weird to walk into the store and not know where the voice that’s greeting you is coming from. If I were older, I would give this place 4 stars, but seeking younger styles in my 20s, this place lacks. I find myself walking out with more workout clothes than everyday-wear.
