As someone who recently went Gluten Free — doctor’s orders, not following a fad — I am on the hunt for a good G Free pizza. The downside to this is when I order pizza from here I’m usually at another friend’s house and they want to order G Free so I can indulge in the pizza awesomeness, too. However it only comes in one size. Not cool.

Pretty good pizza for pretty cheap(comparatively.) We’ve gotten delivery a couple times, and the driver has always been on time and friendly. I also really love that they offer vegan cheese on the menu. I wish it didn’t cost extra to sub it on a pizza, but so it goes!

Completely fine pizza. It’s not going to blow your mind, but they have a quite a few locations, and so you can get it delivered to pretty much every neighborhood in Austin.

They took 55 minutes to deliver the pizza. The delivery guy called me because he got lost and ended up going to a different apartment complex that wasn’t even on the same street(is it really that hard to use a map or an app?). And when the pizza finally arrived, it was cold and we got thin crust when that was not what I ordered.

Just ordered, picked up and returned a pizza and 30 Pizza Rolls to this location for the Nurses at Seton Hospital. It was disgusting. The pizza was over cooked, greasy and where was the extra cheese? Pizza rolls were raw and greasy? Was a great place about a year ago, but we had trouble there in November 2014 on our last visit to Austin.

This story happened tonight: Ordered 3 two-topping large pizzas for $ 33 using a coupon online. Received email confirmation of order and payment. Arrived at Austin’s Pizza but my order wasn’t ready. This super nice chick explained that their computer system had been down for the last 30 minutes. Since I placed my order about 20 – 25 minutes ago, neither the order nor payment was successful. I gladly paid with cash since their system still couldn’t accept plastic. After that she apologized for the inconvenience, handed me a free humongous brownie, and said that someone would bring my pizzas out to me in my car(in the pouring rain) in no time. When another guy brought my pizzas out to my car in the rain, I tipped based off of the original amount before the coupon. He asked if I’m sure about the tip and I replied, «You all are awesome, of course!» Just another example of why everyone should support local business, I love this place!

I think this place is great! It’s my go to for carry out or delivery pizza. The downtown special is amazing. I always get half downtown special half white sauce with garlic and spinach. They are fairly thin crust. Lots of flavor and it’s always hot. Pretty fair price! It’s always nice to go local!

Bar’s great. The pizza is generally great but can be hit or miss sometimes depending on who’s making your pizza. In recent years they’ve cut back on toppings and the owners are weirdos in a bad way. The general manager that runs all the stores is a real prick.

9:20 pm – Placed phone order for 14″ MoPac. The call center told me the cost and that it would be ready in 15 minutes. 9:32– arrived at the location on 35th. After about 5 minutes a guy came to the p/u window, took my first name, confirmed my last name and my order. After going to the back of the place, he came back with the news that my pie was in the oven and asked for payment. I handed over my card and signed when the charge slip was presented. After about 5 minutes that guy left with a delivery. 20 minutes later the 4 people who ordered after I paid for mine, got theirs and left. A young woman asked if she could take my order and I informed her of my name, showed her my credit card with my name on it & told her what the delivery guy had said. Then she told me that he was unqualified to tell me anything. «He’s just a delivery driver.» Well, I have to say that the delivery driver knew who I was after hearing only my first name. He also charged my card. From this point it was all downhill. At this point i was not prepared to throw good time after bad. i asked for a refund — a simple task. And all I got was a string of excuses. Did she not know how to perform the simple functions that a mere delivery driver had mastered? I am sure I will never know because after I contacted the call center. I was assured that my card would ultimately not be charged for the pie that never materialized – we’ll see. How can this sort of mistake give rise to accusations of drunkenness on my part, I’d like to know. One can only surmise that it is I and the poor unqualified delivery driver who ultimately will bear the blame for this piteous ineptitude. If there is such a thing as a moron hazard curve in the pizza business then I am sure that I have run up against it at 35th& Kerbey. And at… 10:35 – I left with no intention of ever returning.

We actually had a bad experience with Austin’s Pizza, but I am still going to give them 5 stars because of how well the handled the situation. Austin’s Pizza is our go-to pizza place in town, so we already know how awesome the food is and how there is no where else in town that delivers pizza this good. Today I placed an order during lunch. It came an hour and a half later and was pretty cold and hard. The delivery guy was super nice and apologized. He explained how they had gotten hit with a bunch of big orders, which was unexpected for a Friday. I wasn’t angry about it, but we had originally ordered the food to feed the kids and by the time the food had actually gotten there we had went ahead and fed the kids something else and put them down for naps. So the whole purpose of ordering the food to convenience had gone down the drain. When we saw the pizza, it just wasn’t up to the standard that I know Austin’s Pizza usually meets. This is where the impressive part comes in. I call back and just explain the situation. I get transferred to some guy named Craig who was super nice, as well. He said he we had 3 options. 1. Send us a replacement meal ASAP(I said no because the kids were already fed anyway). 2. Give us a voucher for our next meal or 3. Just reimburse our meal. Easy as that, we had our money back and the driver was even able to keep his tip. It was such a painless experience that was handled so well, I had to Unilocal about it. I am a big believer that sometimes shit happens and it’s more about your reaction to it than the actual event. We will definitely be ordering from Austin’s Pizza again.

Their pizza is pretty good. However, their customer service and policy leaves something to be desired. I was excited to finally find something open on Easter Sunday and called ahead to make sure they would deliver to my house and I was told, yes. I called back an hour later to order and was told ‘he had to squint really hard at the map to see but it looked like we were one street away from our pizzas being able to be delivered.’ I thought he was kidding but no, he refused to deliver to my house which was one street away from their delivery zone. Great customer service guys, I won’t be ordering in the future after this one.

Even though my love affair with Hoboken Pie is back on, they still don’t deliver as far up into Central Austin as I live, and they’re still sorting out their gluten-free dough situation. In the meantime, I’ve discovered the joy that is Austin’s Pizza and their 10 inch gluten-free pies. I have rarely had anything GF that tasted this much like what it would be with the gluten. As far as pizza in general goes, well, we know I’m a bit of a snob about such things, but I will say that this is one of the better pizza experiences I’ve had in town. That’s really much higher praise than it may look like. Really, the only things that would bump this review up to 5 stars would be the ability to get a larger GF pie than the 10 inch, and to be able to phone/internet order a GF pie that’s half and half(as in, half with one topping, half with another). I just want my GF pizza to be as much like normal pizza as possible, is that so much to ask?

Decent pizza close by. We’ve always do pick up, which takes only 15 – 20 minutes at this location. Our kids go with either pepperoni or sausage(or both) pizza. We go with Pesto-A-Go-Goat, Muffaletta, Farmer’s Market or Mediterranean pizzas.

I like Austin’s Pizza! I like them even more now that they send out deals via Twitter and email. Once, I got a large two-topping pizza for 50 cents, thanks to Twitter! You should definitely follow them if you’re on Twitter and you like pizza! And you can get some pretty good deals from their email list, too! Every Tuesday is 4 pizza rolls for $ 4, which I think is one of their better deals! I love those pizza rolls! My favorite pizza, the Rosemary, is no longer on the menu. I started ordering the Brazos after several friends told me about it and it’s my new favorite. I don’t miss the Rosemary anymore now! This location is closest to my house and was a life-saver during one of the World Cup weekends. With a house full of family to watch the game, we called in an order for pick-up, used a buy-one-get-one-free email deal offered that weekend, and had two great pizzas back at the house within 20 minutes!

I looooove Austin’s pizza! They have soy cheeze! ‘Nuff said! The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because their pizza is pretty pricey and not always consistently great… Sometimes it can taste a little undercooked. I recommend the«Farmer’s Market». My hubby likes the«Super Pep».

It’s not the BEST pizza I’ve ever had… but it’s pretty dang good. Checked out the website, picked what I wanted — 2 toppings included + 1 more($ 1.99 per extra topping). The price shows up online when you order, as you add or subtract options. There was no parking in 4 or 5 spots they have for what looks like a converted house, but I got a spot on the street right outside. The pickup window was the first thing I saw as I walked up. Pretty easy, pretty friendly service. Pizza was pretty good. Just what me and the boyfriend needed. Bonus: I saw the space for a coupon code, so I googled Austin Pizza coupon– and added a small order of bread sticks for free! So, I Large 3 topping pizza, and a small order of bread sticks= $ 14.06. Not too bad.

I did get a coupon for my birthday — otherwise the pizza would have been $ 16(14 inch with 3 toppings). Compared to the prices at Salvation or Brick Oven, this is much cheaper. Two of the three toppings were generous(fresh tomato/mushroom) but the artichoke hearts were just a few leaves scattered around. The crust was fine, everything was fresh. This location is pickup/delivery only — I liked the fact the parking is easy to get in/out of and I was ok with it being pick up only.

I ordered from here last night because I saw their other locations had 4 star reviews on Unilocal.Honestly, I suffered from a bit of sticker shock even before I ordered for pick-up, but I figured their pizza must be good to warrant such high prices. I was wrong. First off, I didn’t realize this location is pick-up only, so I wandered around the restaurant for like 5 minutes trying to find a door that didn’t say«employees only»(it was late and I hadn’t eaten in 10 hours, so don’t judge…). Once I found the pick-up window, I paid the hefty sum of $ 17.31 for a 14 inch pizza(I got the Pesto-a-go-Goat, with pesto, goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts). I took it home, full of anticipation, but it was just… OK. The crust was thin, which is how I like it, but it was flavorless and oddly crunchy. They were kind of stingy with the toppings – it could have used more goat cheese to jazz up the flavor. The quality of the pizza itself probably warrants 3 stars. Unfortunately, they are out of their f***ing minds with the prices they charge! With this location, they don’t even have the overhead cost of a restaurant to pay for – it’s just a kitchen! For just a few more dollars, I could have gone to Salvation and gotten a much larger pizza that tasted better, and I would have had the option of dining in. All in all, I guess I’ll give them 2.5 stars, but I’m not in a generous mood today so I’m rounding down.
