I came here with a group of ladies to celebrate our friend’s bachelorette party. None of us know how to line dance but we were looking for something a little different. We got what we asked for… This place is definitely«different». Let me just say, the crowd here is serious about their line dancing! It’s fun to watch but unless you know what you’re doing, stay out of the way! Around 10:30, the line dancing ceased for a little bit but then would start, then stop, then people were line dancing to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars so I have no idea what was going on at that point. Apparently if you reserve tables, you are given the amount you spent for the reservation back in the form of poker chips to be spent at the saloon. Sounds like a great idea in theory but the whole thing ended up being a huge hassle. Our waitress seemed annoyed with us from the very beginning. Complaining about the poker chips, rolling her eyes at us and then disappearing for a good 45 minutes and then we realized she was on the dance floor with a bunch of guys. Maybe she was on her break? The thing that stuck out the most to me was how vile and disgusting the bathrooms were! Plus, there is a bathroom attendant. Also, the food was terrible. We ordered a bunch of $ 3 appetizers and everything tasted the same… Deep fried.

My first line dancing experience! Classy atmosphere, attentive bartenders and folks from every walk of line dancing experience. I felt welcome at Saddle Up! Mac n Cheese bites were really good. Even an outdoor area for smokers where we could bring our drinks, which is tough to find in Illinois! Looking forward to attending their last 6-hour line dance lesson of 2015 next weekend… Still trying to make a decision on which cowboy boots will be my first ever pair… they’re all so pretty.

Sounded like fun bar to take my wife to, unfortunately my experience was less than pleasant. I thought my wife and I could take line dancing classes here but that wasn’t the case. The crowd was«different» from other bars that I have been to. I probably wouldn’t return to this particular bar again.

I love this place! This is my go-to Sunday night! It’s definitely less crowed and hardly busy in Sunday evenings but I come to dance and not people watch(although it’s great for that at times as well) there is plenty of room to dance and they teach you dance lessons every half hour(I think) starting at 6:30. Once you come a few times you know more and more dances and it’s fun getting a few people to dance with you. It’s a bar atmosphere but county music all night long until 10 they start playing hip-hop and then a country song every now and again. I prefer the country music but they have a range of music for everyone to enjoy. They have a special even night whether it be ladies night, college night, etc. drinks are pretty cheap and the bartenders are super friendly(Stephanie is personally my favorite) I’ve come here on a Wednesday night which is pretty fun and busy. I would say Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest(I’ve only been here on a Saturday once) it was packed! A lot of people and everyone was pretty nice. They have bachelorette parties here and birthday parties, etc. I love it here… I’ll be back for sure!

Awful establishment. Very racist to certain individuals. Apparently African americans nor Asian Americans can’t wear flat deck hats while Caucasians wear them in. Bouncers are awful beyond all extent. One of the worse bars I’ve been to in naperville.

My favorite place to hang out with friends, dance, and let off steam! Great instructors and staff. Very cheap drinks on Sundays!

Easily my favorite bar in the area. Obviously, know what you’re getting into before you decide to come out to Saddle. It’s a country line dance bar, so if country or line dancing isn’t your thing, you’d be better off going to a bar downtown Naperville. The drinks are reasonably priced, and because the bar is technically in Aurora, it doesn’t have to follow all of the ordinances that are now part of the Downtown Naperville bars. They do change up their playlist to top 40s and classic rock around 11 o’clock so if country really isn’t your thing, you can still have a decent night if you show up later. Bonus for ladies: no cover on Wednesday nights!

I love this place. If you want to learn to do the line dances you need to go early, and often so you remember them. If you are more into club dancing then after 10pm is when you want to show up. Everyone is friendly and willing to help you learn the steps so don’t be intimidated to jump out and give it a try! I recommend the pirate hooker drink :)

LOL, so I can totally appreciate this place for what it is. That being said this is not my kind of place. But… The place was very crowded on a Saturday evening and everybody seemed to be having a good time. I believe that there are line dancing practices during the week so everyone can utilize their skills learned on the weekends to get down. I just find it so amusing that you can line dance to ANYSONGINTHEWORLD. Not just country music, but also to songs like«THISISHOWWEDOIT» & the«THETHONGSONG». Helloooo this mess is a fun sight to behold. I also appreciated the few individuals that took line dance lessons very seriously and showed out haha. I guess you learn new things all the time, life is beautiful in that sense. Drinks are reasonably priced. Yeah. Dance floor is large(as it should be). This place is very much poppin if you enjoy line dancing.

COUNTRYGIRLSHAKEITFORME… …Well, only until 10:30(sorry Luke Bryan!). I like here because it is a super fun place for people who actually know how to country line dance. They do some basic lessons early night, as well as some complicated dances that only the seriously country line dancers can catch on to. I have seen here the old school classics to the hot & fresh new. The regulars here know their stuff. If you line dance, you understand that it’s huge etiquette to move in the correct direction at the very least(your space on the floor moves as well as the person next to you)… If you know the dance, hop in the front or center of the floor. If you don’t, stay on the outside ring of the floor — if you choose center you will be stepped on. Choose your spot on the dance floor per line dance experience level. The regulars lock theirs down well. They make space if you clearly know it and will be moving the direction with them. If you don’t, it’s proper etiquette back to dance into someone(especially drunkards in your way of fun!) Country line dancing here = 5 stars. It’s one of my favorite places for it. 10:30 to close = 2 stars. The bump-n-grind drunk club begins. A country song will be tossed in here and there… But overall I had a drink once in the back and had a friend hold it. They put it down. I went to it and saw 4 guys watching me and that cup. Awkward enough for me that I’ll pass on that. I don’t drink when country line dancing, but sure — who doesn’t drink and get jiggy with it. I am not interested in a possible Roofie-Colada. The crowd at night changes. The reviews I see comment about hardcore bouncers. I have never had a problem, but if they kept the club country, I feel the problems people review of would be much less frequent. At 10:30, I want a table. They need to be reserved. Why would I reserve a table when I plan to be country line dancing from open until club time. I guess if sticking around any night this hour for me, means it’s now time to begin alcohol, and have a seat until a song I like comes on or that I drink enough that they all are good! Overall, it’s probably a fun night club for people who want that. But, the reviews here are overall not so hot, and I am not surprised. Why? Because is a Venue marketed to be a country line dancing saloon. So, reviewers like myself, are disappointed that it’s actually and evening hobby for us to enjoy sober or on 1 – 3 drinks. It’s a dance club at night to come party your butt off. At 10:30 it’s still ok, but a continual downhill slope of fun for me personally. I didn’t come here for that. My options are to stand in a corner since I wouldn’t need a table sooner, dance like I am drunk and don’t care, or ultimately, find myself a cowboy and«Saddle Up» to dance on him like he is my dance pole… Because it’s a bump-n-grind club the later it gets. The country folk up front manage to swagger their way line dancing to about half of this often which is very cool. Also, the one huge screen TV at the front of the dance floor may have the music videos on which I always feel is pretty cool. But overall, if I want to get low in my apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur Flo Rida style, I’d probably plan my evening at night somewhere else like downtown Chicago at some cool night club. I come here to be a county girl and shake it to Luke Bryan, not get low low low to Fro Rida(which is also a fantastic song to dance to other styles — I have no idea how it belongs HERE!) Overall 3.5. Great early on evening. I love it and do return. The night crowd and fun is not so much my thing. I’ll plan my drinking nights elsewhere and club it up in a smokin’ hot dress, not in boots, tethered jeans, and a cowgirl hat. It’s like I need to pack two outfits if planning the do the whole evening AND night here. It’s two different worlds. I like to get my beer in a bottle here. I can dance with it and cover the top from spilling(how rude at any dance club any style) as well as not worry about anyone slipping anything in it. Overall, I think putting your drink down is personally dumb for girls especially. But, here is no different than anywhere. Watch your drink! Also, I am surprised this club lets guests at any hour have drinks on the dance floor… Especially glass. But, at least if I am staying later than my country hours and need a beer, I can hold it like a responsible adult. The bathrooms here on Saturdays have someone to hand paper towels and gum to you and stuff. I always feel bad because I don’t carry cash and wish I could just blow dry my hands instead of being handed a paper towel. I sometimes shake my hands because I feel bad to take her paper towel and I don’t have a dollar to tip. $ 5 cover. Ladies too. I don’t know if there are special hours & stuff, but ladies don’t get in free on Saturdays. I am not used to paying cover unless there is a show or something. However, $ 5 isn’t so bad…

This is my favorite bar in the Chicago area for Country Music! My friends and family stop by here at least once a year for a party and always have a ton of fun. There is a good mix of music, so there are plenty of styles to dance to. I swear I try to line dance every time I come here, but I can just never get the dang hang of it lol. Disregard all the douchebags standing around eyeing each other. Just go all out and have fun!

At the age of 25, I was thrown out of this bar for being underage. I was not acting like a jerk of behaving in a way that was inappropriate(unless spending over $ 300.00 in less than a half hour could be deemed as inappropriate). I showed the bouncers my license(as well as the countless other forms of identification I had on me at the time… Including real estate brokers license, credit cards, firearm owners identification card, insurance cards, and plenty more) and was thrown out. It was humiliating. I was with friends for a birthday party… We all ended up leaving. This place has the rudest, most unprofessional staff I have ever seen in my entire life. I will NEVER return and I hope that others heed my warning and do not go in the first place. The environment was fun, but I cannot give this establishment any better of a rating due to the humiliating experience the staff put me through. I was tipping REALLY well too. Just sad…

Went here on a Saturday. The prices weren’t bad, $ 4 beers and well drinks. I get that this is a country bar and don’t mind the line dancing, but the line dancing did not end till 10:45pm. This alienates half the people in the bar because you can’t do anything if you don’t know the dances. After the line dancing, the music was horrible. The kept playing music that’s not possible to dance to, your typical 103.5 Kiss FM stuff. I don’t understand why the DJ didn’t actually mix any songs, he literally just sat there and pressed play song after song.

Wow, I’m super disappointed. This can be a fun place to go, but whatever it says on their website make sure not to follow it! Black Wednesday and it’s supposedly free cover for ladies, but when you get to the door they charge you $ 10! They def. Bait and Switched that shit! Talked to the manager Tony and he was noooooo help!!! Very shitty! Watch out!

We went for line dancing lessons last evening — out first time here and I would say we enjoyed it enough to return. The venue is nice — great big dance floor in the center of the room with lots of bar stool and table seating around it. It was easy to find a table when we arrived at 7pm(lessons started at 730pm) but then the room started to fill up — by 9pm it was buzzing. Our service was attentive and the drinks were nice and strong. We had just eaten so we didn’t try anything on the menu but will plan to next time we go — everything is $ 3.00! The dance instructor was good — she gave lots of encouragement for new people to get up and try it. I wasn’t intimidated even though I had no idea what I was doing! And the«regulars»(who were really good dancers) were so great about calling out steps to you if you were trying to follow along with them. We stayed for over two hours and learned two dances but it would have been better if they played more than one song after learning a dance to do it from start to finish. I probably needed more practice to feel like a really got it and there really wasn’t enough. I enjoyed watching the couples dances in between lessons though. All in all its a nice venue to get out, enjoy some music and get some exercise — we are looking forward to going back again very soon.

So if you go here make sure you get in front of line and leave first. Went with a buddy and bouncers and their«manager» were provoking to beat him up and kick him out after he was already out of the bar. Neither preferred to give their names but the manager mentioned to go in the street and fight with him. After being asked if he cared if he brought back customers he said he couldn’t care less and said he didn’t give a shit. Obviously a power struggle here and the guy needs a lady or something to fulfill some of his needs.

Michelle H(below) wrote the best and most accurate review I’ve ever read — I hesitate to write anything more other than tell you to read what she said! To emphasize: this is an odd place. A country dance hall by day and douche bag rave by night, what used to be a Spaghetti Warehouse restaurant shares the same parking lot as an Aldi. It’s difficult to access if you’re coming from the West(you have to know where you’re going or you’ll miss the entrance… an alley right by a pool place. That being said — you have to know what you’re getting yourself into when you visit here. You’re going to pay a cover(unless you are a crazy flirt with little to no clothes on — which you’ll see a lot of here), will receive weak drinks and you’ll have to wait a while to receive them. If you want faster service, make friends with the shot girls, who carry around shots in test tubes that taste like medicine or juice. But I’ll tell you what: it’s a helluva lot better than Features, and any other dancey-douchey nightclub in the area(not like there’s many to choose from). As packed as it gets, you generally are able to find a spot for you and your group to fit in(definitely more room near the back, far away from the restrooms). People are always open to you dancing with them, and even as it gets late, there’s an eclectic mix of could-be cowboys waiting for their chance to line dance again. If anything, it’s simply a fun place to people watch here!

I have a love-hate relationship with this place. Even after having become a semi-regular patron at points, this joint never fails to befuddle me. Country Saloon and Dance Hall by early evening, and total douche fest by night. Now that’s my personal opinion, please don’t let that stop you from trying the place out at least once! Let’s start with the things I love about this place: — $ 3 menu. Yes it is mostly cheap, fried foods, but works perfectly for the absorption of alcohol. My favorites are the boneless wing in Dakota sauce with ranch dipping sauce. A perfect blend of sweet and tangy! Plus for the price, you get a pretty large order, probably enough to share. — Service. I’m usually here on Wednesday evenings, and service at the bar and tables has always been fabulous. — PBR cans. Enough said. — Wednesday evening line dancing lessons. Great exercise, with wonderful instructors. Even someone such as myself with two left feet can catch on and have a great time! Here’s the«Hates It» portion of the review: -$ 3 menu only. A good deal of the time, I don’t drink, and am not looking to eat greasy drunk food. I really would pay more to be able to have a few healthier choices(other than carrots, celery and ranch.) –During line dancing lessons, they need to institute a «no sandal or open toed shoe rule.» That should be self explanatory. — After 10pm, the party takes a turn for the douche. Out goes the country, in comes the dance club atmosphere. Popped collars, Axe body spray, and scantily clad already inebriated girls with puffy hair. Not my scene.
