I’ve lived in Aurora for over a year, and just now have managed to stop by Grandview Café and Lounge. My wife and I started off with an appetizer of Mozzarella Sticks, which tasted good but its kind of hard to screw that up. For our meal I had the«Belt Buster» burger and waffle fries while my wife had an appetizer sampler for her meal. My burger and fries had good flavor to it as did my wifes meal. Nothing to write home to mother about about but not bad either, just average. I feel the downsides to Grandview was the service and the behavior of the«regulars» at the bar. Our server came back until we ordered food, then was never seen again. The kitchen staff delivered our food, and that was the last we seen anyone until my wife walked up to the bar to ask for our ticket. My wife had run out of Diet Pepsi halfway through her meal. As far as the regulars are concerned, there were several times they would start yelling and screaming with each other, which really sucks because other customers had kids here since it was only 6:30pm. The food tasted good, but the service wasn’t good and unruly customers allowed to do whatever they wanted.

Grand View Café was in downtown Aurora with street parking available. It was a small and cozy restaurant. There were only three of us so we decided to sit at the counter instead of a table or booth. The menu was simple which I thought was good for a place like this. I ordered the Belt Buster($ 8.25) because it sounded pretty good; in addition, the waitress said it was something that was ordered a lot on the menu. I did look at the Husky Burger($ 6.99) but decided to go for the Belt Buster with fries as a side. The food took awhile to come out but that was fine since we weren’t in a rush. We were watching one of the three TVs and whatever show that was on. It kept us distracted on how long the food took to come out. Later, all of our food came out at the same time so that was good. The cup of water had a weird taste to it(at least to me) so I didn’t drink any more of that. The Belt Buster was a large burger and was delicious! It was the first burger I could remember that had an egg in it. The fries were nothing special in my opinion. Overall, I thought this café was great considering how big Aurora was and there weren’t a lot of other places in downtown that I was aware of.
