Not a bad state store. Sure, the prices suck, but blame the State of Pennsylvania and their draconian liquor laws that require it to be marked up 30%.
Whenever I’ve gone here, the staff has been really friendly, and in general, I find what I’m looking for. This is a nice location, too, because a beer distributor opened up next door a few months ago. Now you don’t have to travel far to get beer and liquor!

State controlled liquor doesn’t leave much room for diversity, but some stores are better than others. One thing I’m happy that the PLCB carries is Charm Soju which runs for $ 4.19 a bottle, a rice liquor comparable to vodka. This store in particular is clean and I’ve never had a problem with any of the staff. There have been some standout workers here, but employees tend to bounce to other stores very frequently. Who knows maybe Pa Liquor will get privatized someday, and that will mean better business for entrepreneurs and more interesting Unilocal reviews.
