Any place that you have to wait in line in a cramped space, pick up your food yourself, and isn’t very cheap and you continue to go back, must have good food. The have the best fried clams and fried scallops around. I have not had better. Clam chowder is good, but is unbeatable if ordered with clam fritters. I can’t find fritters that are better. I am sure the other food is good, but to be honest I haven’t ordered it. Why would I when I can order the items I just mentioned.

Great place if you love seafood! Their food is fresh and one of the best seafood places around. When it is open for the season I make sure my family and I go at least a few times. They also have a ice cream shop right in the back that is also great. Employees are always nice. I would recommend this place!

Some of the best fried clams you will ever have. The bellies were small today so they were especially good. My wife and daughter had the clam strips and they were excellent as well.

This place is a big gem that all the locals seem to gravitate towards. At first impression I was highly skeptical as this place is marketed as having seafood along with ice-​cream… but where they serve the ice cream is in a close buy building in a separate operation from the seafood.
During our visit, we had the scallops, fried clams, and lobster roll. The scallops were big and juicy with a lot of great texture. The batter it was in barely coated it which added just enough add to the great taste. The lobster roll had barely if any filler ingredients in it and was generously filled in a hot dog bun. The texture and freshness was noticeable upon the first bite. The fried clams were great and not overly chewy (which tends to happen when they are over-​cooked). You should see from the clam pieces that they are using fresh ingredients.
After overdoing it on fried seafood, we over did it at the ice cream location. Over-​indulging is super easy, as there are so many great options. I was in an old-​fashioned mood so I went with strawberry in a waffle cone. The ice cream was devine with lots of strawberry chunks.
To top the great experience at both locations, everything was very reasonably priced. I know if I was a local, I’d pay a visit at least a few times a month when these guys are open.

Be warned. This is a cash only establishment. Lobster roll was ok. Clam chowder was tasteless.

Awesome lobster roll and for a great price. Around 10.75 for a roll before tax. Lots of lobster and claw meat, barely any filler. The roll was toasted, buttery and delicious. We also got the clam and scallop combo. The scallops were awesome, and cooked perfectly. I would get a plate of just scallops next time. Fries were good too. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. There was no line when we were here, but if there is– do it! It’s worth it!

Always great fresh food! I’ve been going to Ronnie’s for over 20 years and have never once been disappointed! Their prices are very reasonable for fresh seafood.
I wish they were open all year round!!!

My Husband and I were in the area on business and we stopped in for lunch. Our order consisted of small order clam fritter’s (aweful) all we could taste was cornmeal, didn’t even think that was an ingredient ! Seafood platter (no taste at all) we were very disappointed ! My husband grew up in Auburn and always raved about Ronnies! Unfortunately I will never go back. sorry

I LOVE Ronnie’s it is my favorite seafood place since I was little and it has my favorite coleslaw too would recommend if u like seafood

Ronnie’s is one of the main reason why I look forward toward the summer since they are only open seasonal. It might look like a tiny cheap shack, but don’t ever let the look of it fool you. Everything there taste delicious! Their lobster roll is to die for, along with their fried whole belly clams and their fried scallops. The way they make their batter makes the food 10x better and so much more flavorful. The best part about this place too is that it’s closer to home! It’s too bad that they’re only open seasonal though.

Holy moly this place was perfect, 4^th of July deliciousness. I am EXTREMELY fussy about fried seafood and ice cream. This place was unbeatable Nirvana. The fish and chips were perfect. Very light coating. Perfect combination of light, fresh and crisp. Did I mention perfection? Then, there were the onion rings. The fat kind. Perfect coating-​to-​onion ratio. Did I mention perfection. Then there were the clam strips. Another little box of perfect. And I hear from my companions that the lobster salad rolls were very good as well. Finally, the ice cream. Mocha chip on a sugar cone. Exquisite. A new pilgrimage site is discovered. New England Clam Shack perfection. Did I say perfection again? Buy me a new adjective, it fits.

I’ve only stopped at Ronnie’s for the ice cream, and have enjoyed it. The line moves quickly and the ice cream is served in decently sized portions. The black raspberry soft serve is great, although once at the beginning of the season I got served from a batch that lacked flavor completely so there may be some variation.
The counter and the view inside is clean. On several visits the teenage employees seem a little bored… not necessarily unhappy but not very friendly either. They have always completed the transaction quickly and accurately.

Ronnie’s serves up delicious, fresh seafood. I usually get the lobster roll with a side of clam strips. Everything is really tasty and feels like nostalgic New England fare. The line can get long, but it moves along at a reasonable pace. Don’t forget ice cream next door for dessert!

I do enjoy the food here. Not the best deal in town, but most of the prices are decent. I usually get haddock and fries and am rarely disappointed.

On ⁵⁄₂₂ we went to visit family in the area and were taken out to Ronnie’s!!!
I have not been there in over 4 years. WHAT A GREAT dinner we had!!!

This is hands down classic New England food. I love the vintage feel to the restaurant, and it’s simple ordering and décor. Not everything in life needs to be shiny and new!
The food is amazing. I had a lobster roll, which was perfection, but was drooling looking at other’s clam fritters and other menu items. Please be sure to stop here on your way to and from the New England area. We didn’t wait on a long line, but I would if I had to! It’s that good.

Simple review: We come here for the ice cream, its the best ice cream in the area IMHO. The only thing better in the area is a ride down 290. So if your in the oxford/​auburn area this is the best ice cream in the area.
I know they have a restaurant, I havent eaten there its an ice cream place for me but from what i hear its standard fried food faire.
Highlight for me is soft serve black rasberry.

My bf and I discovered this place a few years ago and we have been going every summer since. There is ALWAYS a line bc the food is good. I usually get the shrimp or clam strips dinner but I’ve also had the clam chowder and it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. The only thing I don’t like is how outdated and unkept the dining area is and how narrow the «hallway» is when your ordering. Oh, and it’s cash only… Ugh.

This restaurant was awesome. We had lobster rolls which indeed were filled with chunks of lobster and very reasonably priced. Do not miss having ice cream next door after dinner! Thank you!!!

Price is reasonable, food is delicious, and love that I can come here whenever I’m craving for some seafood!
