On a Mc. Ride, stopped in for breakfast, real good food. Good prices, will be back with more buckets. Thanks Dad.

As soon as my husband and I saw this little place we knew we just had to try it– small with no frills. And seemed busy and full of friendly locals– always a good sign! We had the best breakfast I have had in ages– bacon, sausage, kielbasa– eggs, toast and home fries. So much food and Quality! Food. Wish we lived closer– just passing through to go to Brimfield Fair. Highly recommend this place!

Dads is a really good place to go for a quick bite. It’s a diner, food is decent, don’t go there for healthy choices or gourmet food, but for diner food in a wicked friendly environment.

A wonderful little hole in the wall restaurant that is very small but has big portions for very little money. The chocolate chip pancakes where the last thing that I had at dads recently and they where amazing! The chocolate chips where perfect and cake itself was nice and fluffy. The scrambled eggs are wonderful also. There always fluff filled if you add a little bit of salt it might be the best scrambled eggs yoy have ever had. But the chocolate chip pancakes are the ones to stride for if you go to this small yellow building right on the highway.

Was vacationing nearby and looking for a good breakfast place. Arrived here based on the 4-star reviews. The results were not so hot. Eggs overcooked. Homefries soggy. They dropped my chicken-steak on the floor. Pancakes were heavy and gummy. Three thumbs down. The staff was great, so it’s with mixed feelings that I post this review but we need to debunk the myth that this is a 4-star experience, ‘cos it ain’t even close. Below average. Adiós, Dad.

Cash only, repeat, cash only. They may have good food, but couldn’t try it since it is cash only.

An amazing place to have breakfast. They know my order by heart and never fail to bring amazing diner fare. Prices are good and the service friendly and speedy, highly recommend to anyone who likes good old fashioned American breakfast

Food was just ok, parking is bad, plates were small but the real reason I think this place was a disappointment was the coffee was by far the worst coffee I ever had for breakfast. It was beyond bad. It wasn’t all bad, homefries were good.

Great bunch of people run this place and the atmosphere is great. This is where the locals eat:) Don’t be afraid of the locals — they’re very friendly:) Be sure to stop by Friday night for their awesome fish specials!

I had eaten here several years ago and wasn’t too impressed. I returned last month with my kids and was pleasantly impressed & have changed my mind about the place. I had remembered the place being dark and tiny. When I returned it was bigger than it looks and it seemed brighter & more enviting. I’m not sure if they did any remodeling or redecorating or what. Anyways, the food was yummy! I had the sausage & cheese omelet and homefries. The homefries were perfection!!! Loved it. The kiddos had an order of chocolate chip pancakes that they split. Next time I think I’ll just order them 1 pancake each tho. They aren’t big eaters. It is cash only tho. That’s the only downfall. I don’t usually have cash on me. They do have crayons and coloring books, but it’s a help yourself type situation I guess. We didn’t know when we sat down. My kids saw some other kids going to get crayons and coloring books around the corner out of view. Our waitress eventually mentioned it to them not long before our food came.

Who doesn’t love a good breakfast at Dad’s. Great little diner. Not always the fastest service(when they get busy), but always friendly. Best coffee around! My only complaint is that they are cash only.

As a waitress at Dad’s(an acronym for Donld A. Daigle) for the last 18 years, I must say the family atmosphere cannot be beat. We serve huge portions and if you leave hungry, it’s your own fault. Be sure to check out the daily specials and the everyday specials posted on the wall. We DOHAVE handicapped parking and we have handicap access on the side of the building. The size of the building is deceiving. The diner can hold up to 80 people at a time. Be sure to get there early on a Sunday, the waiting line starts around 10 am.

I’ve been by this place hundreds of times and never stopped, lucky for me I was really early to where I had to be so I stopped in for breakfast. It’s a small place which is how I like a diner, with a cute country décor. The waitress and cook, Dad I assume, were super friendly and the food was ready quick and tasted great. Crunchy home fries, eggs prepared perfectly and a mound of bacon, can’t beat it. Coffee was fresh and hot. I don’t usually go by during their open hours, but if I do I will stop again.

Located right on route 20, I’ve passed by nearly every day but never stopped in before today. I’ve never really payed much attention as the place is very unassuming. You walk in and it’s just as it seems from the outside… not very big. Don’t let that fact fool you as it was still worth the stop. The service was fast and friendly, not necessarily in that order. Our waitress was an army of one, but still attentive. I had an onion and cheese omelet and my bride bacon and eggs. We were each happy with our choices and the portions were a good size. Prices are reasonable Worth the visit if you’re in the area.

Dad’s isn’t very healthy– but it’s delicious! I grew up in Charlton and come here often when I come home. The pancake special(one bluberry, one strawberry, one banana, one pineapple) is really good, but it’s a lot of pancake! You can order most things a la carte so you can build your own breakfast. The coffee is pretty good too, and the service is always spectacular(my mom, Beth, is a waitress there and is very good at her job! say hi to her when you go!). They also get an A for creativity– last time we went they had a bacon cheeseburger omelette! Prices are reasonable, service is fast, and it’s an easy to get to location on route 20.
