I like that they are open late. When you’re craving Asian food or sushi late at night, its a good place to go. The food is decent. Nice variety on sushi. I used to love the sushi here, but the one that was my favorite doesn’t seem as good as it used to be. Sometimes they have food and drink specials, which is nice. Great place to meet up with people, especially those who like to gamble. Service is always good here.

I’ve only ever had the beef chow fun but I’ve had it at least ten times. It’s a little oily but I really enjoy it as a hangover food cure. As far as restaurants at the Muck go, this is my favorite one.

My boyfriend and our friends came here for dinner last night, was pretty good. However, the General Taos chicken doesn’t have much flavor, also pretty dry compared to what we usually get elsewhere. The sushi was just OK… Maybe because we came in later or something? Might try again another time, maybe come in earlier in the evening.

For Asian/Sushi food in a casino I was really surprised how good it was. The sashimi was fresh and were nice big cuts. I also tried the Wonton Noodle soup which was so good my wife wouldn’t leave it alone. Try the Muckleshoot roll. All this and it was very reasonably priced. You have to try 8 if you’re in the area!

Casinos can afford to buy quality ingredients and in turn produce quality food. This place is exactly that. I’ve dined at 8 all the time. And I’ve eaten literally everything on and off the menu. On days I’m a little ill I’ll go here for wonton soup. On days I’m really craving for Chinese food and don’t want to go all the way to Seattle I’ll go here and it’s pretty much equal in price with exceptional quality. Calamari, is good but sauce on the side please, and eat it right away because it is on a bed of spring mix and will get soggy. I’m only giving it 4 stars because unlike Chinese restaurant they don’t have chilli peppers in oil, not sambal and not srirahcha, CHILLIPEPPERS in OIL. Yalls need that. Because I need that for my soup. That’s all. Bön appetite Patrons!

Tried this place on a whim tonight because we were in the area, wanted Asian food & were pleasantly surprised when our meal came. We got summer rolls(spring rolls basically), Asian style fried rice & salt and pepper prawns. Our total bill was only $ 31, which is impressive considering the presentation & caliber of food. I’d definitely eat here again, because it was strictly what we wanted; good, filling & appropriately priced. The Asian style fried rice was good, could have used a tad bit more salt but otherwise I had no issue with its cook. The salt & pepper prawns were a little too deep fried & not enough salt and pepper flavored, but good nonetheless. I know this is a preference thing but I definitely prefer them to be more on the juicy side vs. dry. Dinner was good — it wasn’t crazy amazing or anything, but for the value the flavor and options were spot on.

Really was hopeful to find a great sushi place that offered a selection of non-sushi options for my other half and unfortunately, did not find it here. I ordered the muckleshoot roll, mountain roll, hamachi(spelled wrong, sorry) and maguro while other half had chicken pud Thai. I found the sushi only slightly better than what I could get at Fred Meyer, probably because the rice was SUPER cold, and the chicken was barely worth the low $ 8 price tag. I’m rating 4 stars merely because the service. We were immediately greeted with a smile and promptly served all we requested and sometimes a genuine smile can make up for a lackluster dining experience.

My girl and I always come here for the Thai seafood soup. Fell in love with it at a friends house and we came here and found a place that did it right. We came here before for the phở, but the Thai soup just has our heart. Love it.

Authentic Asian food in the middle of the Muckleshoot Casino. I love this place, but sometimes it’s tough to get in because of the wait. Also, because it’s located in the casino, it’s a very smoky wait. It’s horrendous to have to go through the smoke, but the food is fantastic. My favorite is the plum wine — fruity and cold. It’s delicious. Another favorite is the summer rolls. I love those so much, I rarely order anything else. Tonight, however, I decided to vary it up and got a hot and sour soup. Perfection. I really love this place.

We like coming here for the Rainy day roll, the place is nice. Big parties can attend! I’m not a fan on the muckleshoot roll. Ry, has been our server and he is a nice guy, a little to nice if you know what I mean. They are fast in the service and we always love the atmosphere.

Awesome. Got the bento box and the Geoduck Nigri. The bento box was spectacular. I admin the squid seaweed salad sounded scary, but was delicious. Next time I’m down in this area I would make sure I stop here for dinner. Prices were good too. Two people with drinks, under $ 60.

Their sushi is off the hook!!! Sooooooo BOMB! My personal favorite is the Auburn Street Roll! So yummy. I also highly recommend their honey walnut prawns, won ton soup, Thai soup, and their deep fried prawns… Don’t leave without at least trying their sushis! They’re fresh and tasty!

You may have to wait in line but there’s plenty of room and the sushi is amazing with tons of options! Great for a night out with friends!

Pleasantly surprised… Went on a Saturday night and the wait was about 10 minutes. When we got seated asked hostess if we could sit at the«sushi» bar — no problem. Not a bad place to sit — can watch everything being made. Started off with the Muckelshoot roll(it was delish), 8 martini(fine — small glass for $ 8), then had the tofu and veggies(really good) and phở w/rare beef and meatball(it was above average and lots of meatballs). Ended the meal with the fried banana and ice cream(excellent) and the cognac flight(unfortunately, not my favorite choices). Would definitely eat here again… Service and staff were excellent.

Just had sushi at the 8 Asian @Muckleshoot Casino. The food was as expected and service was good. However we witnessed something that would make us think twice about coming back. We saw a waitress plated a handful of ginger with her bare hands on a sushi order. When we spoke to the supervising manager(a female mgr), she was defensive and appeared reluctant to do anything about it. When I pressed, she finally agrees to talk to the waitress. However, she missed the most important point… To insure high food quality AND that no one gets sick. We will never return here again. That waitress name is Robyn.

We ordered the mountain roll and the um… curry noodles, i forgot the name because I was kind of intoxicated Lol. Also the drink special with pineapple, rum and vodka and my husband had the Bangkok. Food was good and came out pretty fast, this sushi roll was delicious and packed with lots of seafood. The curry noodles were good and the drinks were not strong at all. But that could be because we had shots of tequila before. –_– Our server was a lady and her name was Sokha I believe she was very friendly and helpful. Busy so we waited a little but they have a number sign above the entrance area to enter and will tell you the number when they are ready to seat you which is awesome! Overall will visit to try other stuff there too! We had a good time.

This place was pretty good! It is open late, so we decided to give it a try. It has a pretty good menu with a lot of options. The service was really fast and sushi was pretty good. You can also order oysters! the only thing is you have to walk through muckleshoot casino… through the smoke. but if youre into that kind of stuff then the whole experience is great! Love it! Oh and very pretty on the inside(not including the casino).

I came here with the family for the January dim sum special. Expectations were kept as low as possible because the restaurant’s in a casino after all, and it’s too easy to screw up something as delicate and sacred as dim sum. From my very first bite into the ‘siew mai’(pork & shrimp ball), though, my heart soared. And it continued to soar through mouthfuls of ‘har gao’(shrimp ball), ‘char siew bao’(sweet barbecue pork bun), sesame seed roll, chicken bun, and egg roll. And the honey walnut prawns! HOLYDIVINECOW, the honey walnut prawns! Perfectly crunchy on the outside with plump, tender shrimp on the inside! They were so good that they deserve their own paragraph in this review. :) Every morsel of food was succulent, delicious and authentic. I never felt the need for any dipping sauce to enhance the flavors that exploded in my mouth. By the time I finished my last ‘har gao’, I wanted to break out into song and dance. Not joking. The Chinese tea that accompanied our meal was rather weak, but that’s hardly worth deducting a star from this review. Ryan, the wait staff who took care of us, also did an excellent job. He had a great smile, perfect manners and a lovely sense of humor. We certainly enjoyed our first ever dining experience at 8! Please make dim sum a permanent part of your menu, 8! Please, please, please, please, please! :)

living down here in the south end — its difficult finding good Asian food. Well… on highway 99 Korean food is of plenty. but to find a good Chinese spot is damn near impossible. Finding one that’s open late night fuhgetaboutit… thanks to 8 Asian… hope does exist and you don’t have to drive all the way to Chinatown for some good Asian eats. now… mind you it is a casino. the food is good because they gotta cater to the millions of Asians that try to double up their paychecks every night. but the pricing is rather high. is it worth it? I got to pay an extra $ 5 per plate so I don’t have to drive 30 minutes to seattle is worth it to me. the soups are on point with any other place — the portions are large as well the sushi… used to be good but the original sushi chef went and opened his own spot(trapper sushi) so the quality has gone down since. the rolls are too big and all you taste is rice. and the sashimi tastes«thawed out» and not very fresh. the Chinese food is great in flavor — my personal favorite is the salt and pepper head on shrimp and the chow mein is good too. typically i’d give this place 3 stars because it is rather average but overly priced. But what makes it worth all the while? A server named Ry — funniest, coolest server I’ve ever met. makes you feel right at home eating with a homie. always quick, always a great attitude, and always funny! the restaurant world definitely needs more guys like him in a management role!
