Now, this place is cool. As a fan of Boardwalk Empire, the show reminds me of what it must have been like to live in the 1920s. And if ever there was a store to bring you back in time to that roaring decade, it’s James’. A truly unique store with loads of taffy options, affordable, reasonable prices, and a very friendly and helpful staff. I also noticed it’s one of the few places on the boardwalk(if not the only place on the boardwalk) that seemed to specialize in taffy. Definitely go here if you’re strolling down the Atlantic City boardwalk, regardless of whether you even like taffy.

Nice selection of fudge and taffy’s. Both were very good. The staff was very pleasant — service with a smile. Store was very clean — much more clean than some of the other stores on the boardwalk. I liked that you could buy individual items and not be required to buy the expensive gift boxes.

GROSS old candy. This was THEEEE worst salt water taffy. It was stale and tasteless! HORRRRRIBLE! this is an update. I was soo pissed about the salt water taffy that I wrote a letter and they sent me some fresh candy. SOlid company!

James’ is one of a few salt water taffy vendors on the boardwalk, so I popped in to buy my daughter, back in AZ, some of this pulled confection. Busted it open yesterday, and started chewing. Some of these flavors… while quite flavorful… were terrible. Were these approved for human consumption? Yikes! And it got all stuck up in my teeth. Couldn’t extract the funk from my snaggle-tooth soon enough.
