Went to Urban Taali when it was held at the Suwanee Food truck Friday festival in May, and there wasn’t a whole lot of selection for me to choose from, because the lines were huge for each truck at the festival. I went with their Piedmont Grilled cheese($ 6)(a white cheddar sandwich on lightly grilled white bread). The sandwich, while good, was just a regular grilled cheese, that wasn’t bad, but really just tasted like grilled cheese sandwiches I typically make. The good thing about the price is you get two sandwiches, so 6 bucks gets you and someone else a decent sandwich. The sandwich also came with with a white dipping sauce, that I first thought was ranch, but tasted more like Tzatziki sauce. It kinda seemed like a weird combination with the sandwich to me, but maybe you’ll like the combo! I wish they had other things to try, because I did want to try their 5 point philly or 285 wrap. Guess I need to get there earlier next time. Customer service was just fine, and they of course take cash, and plastic. Get to wherever they are early, so you can try more than their grilled cheese!

I had this for the first and only time in 2012 at a Hip Hop Festival. I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. I got a chicken bowl and it was very tasty. I would try them again

I ordered a Philly from here today for lunch and both the service and the quality was outstanding. Great food and great service go a long way this day and age. I’d eat here again.

Friendly staff and my gyro bowl was good. $ 10/bowl, which imo is a little pricey. Portions were average, but I guess it’s good for my portion control goal.

WORSTTRUCKEVER!!! Very rude employees. I waited 48 min for 1 sandwich. They apparently made it wrong the 1st time. Forgot it the 2nd time and then proceeded to ask me if I have ever worked on a food truck before when I asked why it would take 48 min for an order. Couldn’t refund me my money. I was told to wait 12 more min for the manager to show up if I wanted my money back. I definitely do not recommend this dump. I’ve gotten full meals and eaten them in less time from the other trucks with higher standards in customer service and execution of orders. Wish it would allow zero stars.

Ordered the Taali bowl(yellow rice bed, meat choice, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, lettuce and taali sauce all for $ 10) and wasn’t completely satisfied. The chicken was dry and salty, the mushrooms were raw(not grilled like it was advertised to believe) and there wasn’t enough sauce for my liking. The customer service was mediocre and they ran out of bottled water. Which would’ve been fine had he maybe suggested some other beverage choices since it’s 95 degrees outside and I’m baking in the sun waiting 15 minutes for my food, but instead he hurried me along to grab the next guest(conveniently after I tipped them). They didn’t seem prepared for the crowd since there were three forks left in the dispenser and approximately 6 napkins for a line of about 12 people. Overall, the food wasn’t horrible, but this wasn’t the best food truck experience I’ve ever had. I will give them another shot some time in the future when it’s not a blazing hell outside.

Pretty pathetic food truck. Always out of ingredients and very stingy with their portions. Fairly bland, wouldn’t eat here again. But then I have high standards it your average food truck. Nothing special and pray they have meat

Was at food truck Thursdays in midtown. Got a gyro. Excellent. Made me realize I need to incorporate more Greek food in my life again!:)

Although the owner was very nice, I have to be honest– this gyro was not good. While the gyro meat was seasoned well, I maybe had a tablespoon of meat in the entire wrap. MAYBE A TABLESPOON. The wrap was so small, I ate the entire thing and was still hungry. They didn’t include any onions. Overall, just not good. I gave it two stars bc the meat was flavored well, but other than that, the gyro was beyond forgettable. If you’re looking for authentic NYC halal gyros, this isn’t your place. For better customer experiences, you should ensure the gyros are packed with meat like they do in NYC. Sorry, Ali.

Went over to check out the Food Truck Park, but there were only a few options. We were on a Gyro mission, so we decided to try this truck. The meat was seasoned nicely, but I agree 100% with Joe S. review. Portion was skimpy for the price, and it consisted of meat, pita, lettuce and bland sauce. I didn’t realize we would need to specify tomato or onion(whether raw or grilled). We left dissatisfied. For a good gyro, visit Café Angora on E. Paces…

Visited them at the food truck mark on Howell Mill Rd. They had samples of their signature taali dish. The sample was awesome and the guy at the window was so friendly and upbeat. His attitude made me choose them over the other food trucks. I was not at all disappointed in the taali with gyro. The sauce is amazing and I wish I’d asked for more! I’ll definitely go back!

Finally a halal chicken and rice food truck aka chicken cart in atl! My husband and I toughed the crowds of the ATL hip hop festival just to be one of the first people to try this place. I wanted to try the signature chicken and rice plate. They said I could mix it up so I got gyro and chicken together. Meat was tender and flavorful. The white sauce was yumy and they mentioned they make that themselves. I think there could be more rice served with the plate. I definitely recommend trying these taali platters over the other menu items liek burgers and phillys because the taali platters are their thing. Can’t wait till they are officially open and at the food truck parks!

By far the best American food you can get on a food truck. Simply amazing. We had a friend leaving the country to teach English for a year so we throw her a going away party. We decided to have a Food Truck for the event. The guys did a excellent job and were very friendly. The gyro taali was amazing, reminded me of being back home in NewYork.
